Ambrosia

Ambra moved easily across the snowy ground, her long strides covering a good bit of ground at the steady trot. It was the most common pace to see in a wolf trying to cover ground without tiring. They could run for a good distance but not near the distance they could cover at a steady trot without stopping. Plus it allowed the pup they had found to keep up with the much larger adults. Even though pups grew at an astounding rate Myst was still small enough that she occasionally had a hard time keeping up, mostly just when they'd been on the move for an extended period of time.

Bringing up the hind of the pack was Niall, he was the largest wolf Ambra had seen since she had left her homeland in Russia. Behind him were close to 15 horses carrying supplies for the pack. The animals trusted the massive wolf fiercely, they defied every instinct they had by following Niall's trail that he plowed through the snow for them. It was just a few inches of snow on the ground but his massive paws packed it into a easily navigable trail for the animals behind him. They were nearly to the cabin and as Ambra looked around them she was glad that they had picked this place to come and live out the remainder of their long lives. Evergreen spruce trees among other rose high into the sky around them as they headed down the last slope before they reached the small mining camp that they had managed to purchase from the family down south that owned it. The property covered an expansive thousand acres of land that bordered the national park nearby and would give them exclusive rights to take backpackers and other outdoor enthusiast through the property for the adventure of a lifetime. The humans would never know that they were the safest outfitters that they could possibly travel with.

Looking carefully around at the trees she could see the break in them ahead and see the distinctive look of a log cabin along the tree line. 'We are almost there!' she called to the wolves behind her. This was breath taking country, snow coated the branches of the trees that surrounded them and bird calls filled the air with chipper noise. It was a cacophony of sounds, a symphony of nature that filled her ears as she carefully inspected the area ahead of them. It wasn't more than a few strides before they reached the edge of the opening that was the mining camp.

The cabins were old and weathered, it had been nearly sixty years since the men who had lived here for many years years had left. They had boarded up the cabins as best they could, clearly having intended to come back to this place to find more gold. The windows were covered with boards filled with nails that were now coated in a thick layer of rust. Ambra could also see the tips of nails poking out from the board laying at the door of the cabin. Some of the other cabins had not faired as well, the boards had come off and the windows had broken but for the most part they all seemed to be in decent shape. She could see a chimney rising up from inside the cabin nearest her, and on several of the other cabins. That was a good sign that there would still be wood stoves inside.

She pushed her wolf beneath the surface and quivered as she rapidly changed forms, becoming a tall young woman with lengthy, loosely braided, platinum blonde hair that flowed down her chest from inside the fur lined hood of her thick jacket. It was still fairly cold out this far north even though it was the beginning of summer. Ambra guessed it to be around 32 degrees if it was that warm but the sunshine that beamed down from the blue sky helped a tremendous amount for the feel of the air, especially for those with dark coats.

"Home, sweet home my dears." Ambra called aloud in her cool high voice, it was clear and cool against the sounds around them. These birds had never encountered humans in their lifetime let alone Lycans and paid her voice no mind. Her blue eyes were as icy as the landscape around her as she looked around her at all that was now theres.

Rayne

Rayne fell back towards the end standing near Myst, just to make sure she was doing alright. She would have asked to stop maybe once or twice, but Ambrosia seemed incredibly determined to not stop, she didn't blame her at all, and well she was the alpha and she had no real place to speak up. So instead she just kept an eye on the pup, as well as keeping an eye on everyone else, she wasn't worried...well she was, but she just naturally worried, that was what she was there for, if for no other purpose it was to make sure that everyone was healthy and fine and amazing...

After shooting herself in the face through mental thought to avoid the mental overload of her overthinking, she heard the edge of what Ambrosia said, coming up to where they would hopefully be living for the time being and for a long time being. She pawed through the snow following after Ambrosia as everyone else did, before seeing the alpha shift, which meant they were officially where they should be. Reverting to her own skin form, she had a winter coat similar to Ambrosia, but Rayne had kept her hair all hidden under a beanie. As the company stopped, Rayne grabbed her bag from one of the many horses that Niall lead, still to her amazement was their odd calmness, it was almost unsettling and made Rayne wonder what it took to train them so well, especially in their situation. IF she were the horse, she'd feel like a meal waiting to happen, of course they'd have to get through the towering beast that was Niall, and for as big as the guy was, she'd be afraid for any idiot willing to go toe to toe with him over his horses.

Slinging the bag over her shoulder, she stood next to Ambrosia, who basically towered over her "Thank you for getting us here boss, from that look you have though, please don't over-exert yourself, that goes for all of you, I'd rather not have to deal with anyone passing out so early into settling in" she smiled jokingly, hopefully enough to ease the mood and get everyone in gear. Standing a little closer to Ambrosia "she did a lot better then I thought she would" glancing back at Myst "miss being that young sometimes, eh?" she laughed a little before moving past the nicer cabins and taking a little lower end one so the others wouldn't have to, she called out a dibs, before trying to enter the cabin. The door gave a good fight, but after Rayne put pressure on the door, it swung open, almost making her fall. Walking inside, she put her pack down, before walking out to help the others.

It wasn't terrible, it was a definite fixer upper, but it wasn't undoable, and with enough work it could be nice. Starting to unpack, she hid her stash of not so legal things, though it didn't seem to be a problem and from what she found, it seemed many healers actually smoked funny enough, but it was still a habit none the less. The cabins weren't all that bad, with the worst being the windows, it was pretty good condition for where it was and how unkempt it was. The thought of clean water troubled her but those were things to think about later, getting up from the bedroom, she moved out and back where the rest of the pack was "anyone need or want help?"

James

The snow lay across the ground like a blanket, its witness nearly blinding. He had let Ambrosia take the lead for the last portion of the trek in favor of keeping an eye on the others. Everyone had seemed like they fared well enough, even the younger members.

They had reached the destination, rotted cabins with busted windows, their new home. It was perfect.

Ambrosia changed forms as did Rayne. His gaze ventured back to Ambrosia. They he'd met months ago and had since formed a close bond. He figured she was the reason he was the alpha rather than any other guy. He felt she was much more qualified at any rate.

Changing forms, James turned into a tall man, a dark green coat pulled closed against the chill.

Rhona And Jay

The trek had been long and hard to Rhona and Jay's new home. The ran together, shoulder to shoulder, with long, quick strides; without saying in a word. Rhona had noticed the strangling cub and had, at one point, gently picked the youngling up by the scruff and carried her, so that she could rest without falling behind. They did not pay much attention to the rest of the pack, except for the the female in front and the male alpha in back.

After the pack's long trek, they finally arrive at their new 'den'. Several old rotten cabins filled a clearing, and nothing but forestry and nature for miles; a perfect environment for the pack to grow and thrive.

Upon arrival, though a few of the others had reverted back to their human forms, the twins remained in their wolf forms. Rhona gently placed the cub by the other wolves before they moved over, out of the way, on the edge of the clearing. They then proceeded to smell and examine each other, checking for any injuries they may have received during their travels, not saying a word. They spoke telepathically.

"Are you sure you're OK?" Jay's thoughts echoed to Rhona.

"Yeah I'm fine. What about you? You OK?" She echoed back.

Leon nodded then glanced at their new pack as they started to settle in to their new den. "So... What do you think of them? Our new home? Our pack?"

Rhona went silent as she eyed the others. Her thoughts finally echoed through. "I don't know just yet. But... It doesn't matter much what I think. This is our pack. This is our home. We should be grateful, brother."

"I know... I know..." He replied. They fell silent once more as they watched the pack.

As the youngest of the pack, Little Myst's was consumed with fear of the world around her. Yet, she was excited as any curious child on how powerful the creatures were. She knew little of the outside, it was just a few weeks ago, she had left the comfort of the den, starving after the disappearance of her mother. Thankfully, she was discovered and taken in by the passing pack. Even though she was of Lycan blood, she was still had the risk of getting sick as any pup would.

Though Msyt could hardly keep up as the leading she-wolf bounded across the blanket of snow, down the slope. The young pup trotted behind, stretching her short limps to keep up pace. This sudden adventure had carried her beyond the confines of the den, her birth place, and as she peered at the looming trees pasting the pack, her very first taste of the outside world thrilled the young pup to the morrow. Rayne approached the young one, the woman was always friendly towards her. As the role of healer, Rayne often checked up on her. Msyt barked agitatedly at the healer until she left her paws no longer touching the wet ground, picked up by the back of the neck and grew limp.

The air around the was so cold that it seemed the sky itself would crack like ice. Myst hoped they're new home was close, her stomach was growling with hungry. The pack pushed through a clearing, the area was surrounded by forest on roughly three sides of misshapen circle. The forest was dense but maneuverable, the large tree tops providing ample shade around the edge of the old cabins.

Once they had stop, once she was set down by the beauitful she-wolf.The pup plopped down onto the snow. Her muzzle often tilting toward the ground and her chest expanding considerably with each inhalation as she scented the carpet-like snow. Though it was obvious the pup was having difficulty tracking the source buried underneath the snow, her enthusiasm never waned. Myst did not have enough energy to transform like her older friends. Still learning herself, shifting was a bit of a difficult task and much more to remain in human form.

Niall

The hulking beast that was Niall easily plowed through the few inches of snow that covered the ground and the canopies of the tall evergreen spruce trees. It was honestly beautiful here but dreadfully cold compared to his old home in the South where it was warm and humid nearly year round. His thick black coat was protection enough though. He padded along behind the smallest member of the pack, a tiny pup that they had acquired who seemed to be the size of Niall's massive head.

Behind Niall marched a line of horses, his lighter horses in the front nearest him and the hulking drafts in the back. They were less likely to spook at something and run up on top of the horses in front of them. His most trusted stallion brought up the very rear. A lumbering beast that was over six feet tall at the top of his shoulders. His upright head and thick neck swayed very so slightly as he marched calmly behind the other horses, keeping watch over them. It was lovely to watch as the tree branches moved every so slightly in the chilled breeze that moved through them. The newest tips were a bright almost neon green and his wolf eyes could see every tiny detail of them.

Niall's lighter horses consisted of some gaited animals known as Walkaloosas, all beautifully spotted either all over their bodies or just on their rumps. The others of his light horses were a mixture of paints and appaloosas, each animal unique in its own way. Niall could tell them all apart easily and all but two of his big drafts were easily distinguishable from one another. There were 16 total, eight light horses and eight drafts, all of his drafts but his largest stallion were Norikers, his largest who was in the back was a Belgian. As they reached their new home Niall shifted carefully, his horses stopping lightly behind him. His human form was just as large as his lupine form and he towered over even the Alpha Male of this pack. The males in his old pack had all be large but Niall and his siblings were by far the largest, their mother and father were both large wolves and had passed that on to them.

All of this beauty made him wish for his twin but she ran with the stars and the moon now, chasing shooting stars in the sky. A slight frown formed on his face as he though about her. She would have been beautiful, much like their Alpha now but her hair had been pitch black. He looked at the little community before them and gave a bit of a grin. "I'll get a tie line set up for the horses and we can unload them when we get ready." Niall's voice was a low grumble, the only possible voice for such a massive man. His thick flannel shirt and scruffy face paired with tough looking jeans made him look like a lumberjack, a very large one.

Adam

Adam's pace remained the same through the second half of their trek, he was tired. Exhausted really, but he was trying his best not to let it show, plus it was cold. Like really cold and while he normally loved the cold this journey had made him like it just a little less momentarily. The sight of the cabin and the call from Ambrosia made the wolf perk his head up, Thank god. One by one some of others were shifting to grab their things from Niall's horses, and Adam followed suit. After shifting he walked slowly up to one of the horses to grab his bag, still baffled by the size of them. Adam had never even been close to a horse until he'd met the rest of the pack along with these horses, and still felt a little awe. At first when he'd changed into his wolf he'd been slightly uncomfortable near them, afraid he'd spook them or they'd simply smash one of their large hooves into him but that had vanished somewhere along their trek.

Pulling the hood from his black hoodie over his head he soon paused and smiled at the sight of Myst's enthusiasm. When he heard of this pack forming the teen had assumed that he would likely be the youngest unless there was a family of sorts who were joining up. Once Myst had shown up it was apparent that he wasn't, which was an odd relief. The pup reminded Adam a little of the younger sister he hadn't seen in almost a year and that was bitter-sweet.

Adam had just been standing there staring at her, lost in whatever reminiscing moments he was having until Niall's deep grumble came from behind. This made the teen realize he hadn't moved in a while and turned abruptly to look in Niall's direction, "Need some help with that?" He asked. It was only after he'd offered to help that he pondered just what he was offering to do, a tie line? Adam wasn't really sure what that was, surely that is where you just tie the horses to something so they can't wander off right? That just involves tying knots in rope, knots he can do.

Valentine

The white wolf paused, lifting up her head to gaze at the sky for a brief moment before following her pack. They had been travelling for a long time, to the point where Valeriya felt like her legs were going to fall off. But the young wolf refused to ask for a rest. She was much too excited to be so close to their new home. So she kept her head up and pulled through, thinking about what she was going to do once they were at home. First, she would take a nice long nap in front of a fire then massage her feet before sleeping again. That sounded about right.

At the first sound of Ambrosia's call, Valeriya couldn't help but let out a little yip of happiness. She wasn't ashamed to bounce around a bit, bright eyes observing her surroundings. Well, it wasn't bad for a bunch of old abandoned cabins. It certainly wasn't like the ratty city apartments she was used to. The wild landscape was a nice change and the fresh air was invigorating. Overall, Valeriya was quite content with the place her alphas had chosen for their new dwelling.

She didn't wander around for too long, however, bounding back to the group to help with the unloading. She quickly shifted and pulled her jacket tighter around her body. The cold air nipped at any exposed skin, turning her usually pale skin into a bright pink. She sneezed, muttering a 'excuse me' before taking note of where everyone was. The first person that caught her eye was Myst, who was shuffling around as if she had caught a scent. Valeriya couldn't help but let herself smile freely - pups would always be her soft spot. Keeping one eye on Myst to make sure the pup didn't stray off by accident, she walked towards Niall and Adam to assist them.

Rhona And Jay

Everything had seemed under control as everyone went to settle in. Everyone except for the twins, of course. When they joined the pack, they came with only the clothes on their backs.

Thus they decided that they would help the pack in a different way by doing what they do best, scouting, hunting, and collecting firewood.

Jay reverted to his human form and shook his head, fluffing up his long, dark hair in the cold winter air, then combed it back. He wore a white, unbuttoned, longsleeve button up shirt, jeans, and a pair of heavy winter boots.

Jay stood up and casually walked over to the pack's supplies and grabbed the largest tarp he could find with his mouth; which, for normal humans, looked pretty silly for the few moments that he was in his human form before changing back to his wolf form and returned to Rhona.

With a slight nod the 2 ran off into the forest. Unlike the last time, however, the twins were enjoying themselves as the crisp air entered their lungs, then came back out as a steady trail of steam behind them. Their packs new territory was huge and beautiful. But most importantly, it was secluded far away from the humans.

Not long after they entered the forest, they caught scent of something truly delectable; deer. And plenty of it. The twins were hot on the trail, yet remained silent, as they approached a large heard of deer. The twins crept up on the heard then suddenly... They sprang! They managed to jump ontop of 2 deer then bit down hard on the deer's neck, breaking its neck and splattering its blood, turning the once pure white snow a deep crimson. Blood ran down the twins throats and stained their faces and bodies, matting their fur a bit. Their hunt was a success, killing 2 deer one each from both twins, now their pack would have enough food until tomorrow. The twins then changed to their human forms and slung the deer over their shoulders.

A few hours after they had left, the twins returned drenched in blood, guts and sweat, deer slung over their shoulders, and a tarp on full of fallen branches that they collected on the way back, towed behind them. Unfortunately, the hike back to the den had taken longer than they had initially expected, due to them carrying a few hundred pounds of flesh.

To a normal human family, the sight of the twins would be frightening to say the least, but to a lycan pack, it meant a successful hunt and dinner on the table tonight, which was always happy news. The twins reentered the clearing with their load, exhausted but smiling proudly at their success.

"My alpha, we bring meat and fire wood!" Rhona called happily, giving a blood stained, yet proud, smile.

Jay nodded in agreement and dropped his deer before proceeding to help Rhona with hers. After her deer was on the ground, Jay turned to the pack. "Anybody want to gut these things or are we going to have to do it? " He said, his voice was deep and a little raspy, almost coming off a grumble, that could easily be mistaken as rude when this was actually his way of asking for help. The blood on his face gave a menacing look to his indifferent expression, which in his case wasn't very helpful.

James

James began the short walk down to the first cabin. It was constructed of long wood boards with a brick chimney. This would be their home from now on. James tested the door, first by pushing it to see if it would give in, then by turning the knob to check if it was locked. The rain worn boards creaked when pushed but did not give until opened in the proper manner: the catch was unlocked or rusted to the point of the uselessness.

Inside hadn't seemed to fair much better than the outside. The wood flooring and walls were covered in dust and stay plants grew where the sun could reach. The broken windows weren't a good sign either, The pack would need to be careful of any bits of glass let lying around. Aside from the filth and wreckage the cabin was perfect. It had a main room that flowed into the kitchen, tow bedrooms and a bathroom. It was doubtful that the water would work, but the possibility of fixing it later was still there, in any case there was a steam not to far away. Both bedrooms were equip with a bed and a chest. One was full of blankets, moth eaten but useful none the less. Last but not least was the stone fireplace. Ashes still rest at the bottom and an iron pot hung over where a fire could be. By the way the house was built heat from the fireplace could flow throughout the house. This cabin would likely be Ambrosia and his.

The other cabins were similarly built each with their own problems. In total their were seven cabins, five with fire places, plenty of room to fit his pack of eleven.

In the sixth cabin he noticed something on the window frame, a golden thing underneath the layer of dust and snow. With a sweeping motion James made to dust off the debris and uncover the object, midway through the motion a sharp object cut into his hand. From the clear windowsill protruded a nail, three inches long and sticking up out of the wood, now it had blood on and around it. James checked his hand, just in case, but it had already begun healing shut, now only a feint red line.

Leaving the house he looked toward the seventh, and last house. It was farthest away from the first home and more run down looking then the past six. Deciding to leave it for later James went back to help unpack all the belongings or whatever needed getting done.

Juniper

The white beta wolf trekked calmly through the inches of snow just behind the alpha pair as they all journeyed towards their new home. It had been quite a long adventure so far but the pace had been steady and not really pushing the others too much besides the distance of travel. Juniper found herself more often than not, glancing behind her to check on the others though she knew that Rayne would care for anyone sick or injured but she worried. As it was, had it not been for Rhona picking up the young pup than she certainly was about to but now it was no longer an option as well as less of a worry. She wouldn't want the young pup to become ill, especially if it was because they had neglected to look after little Myst needs.

Juniper felt a flood of excitement at the mention from Ambrosia that they were almost there and couldn't wait to be greeted by the sight of their new home. If the scenery of their trip was anything to go by, the surrounding area should be pretty wonderful. Honestly, anything would look pretty fantastic to her if she could call it home as she hadn't had many places in this world to call that. It wasn't long before her eyes met with abandoned cabins that seemed to be in a state of disrepair though must less than most would think for its age. The lush woods surrounded the area as birds sung their many tunes barely noticing the little pack that would soon be the norm of this place. Her eyes could pick up the slight babbling of a stream not too far off and with this much forest, food would hardly be an issue. In Juniper's eyes, it was absolutely perfect, broken windows and all. She hadn't had the luxury of a house before in any sense as she had almost always lived in the woods and the lyanthrope pack she had been with in her teen years had preferred caves as to stay away from humans. She glanced around, noticing she had been lost in thought far too long as the healer had already claimed a cabin though she hoped it was just for medical reasons as she would personally feel more comfortable if they all slept together for awhile. They didn't know what could be lurking here yet and if any danger occurred than more the better. The others were already unloading the supplies but the thought of going into her human form made her a bit weary even if she should be helping. It was actually more difficult than natural for her to go in that form since it was harder to push away her wolf side because of her past so instead she moved over to Myst, laying down in the snow next to her. Juniper would watch over the pup and if it got to cold than at least her body heat could keep Myst warm. She would just keep her eyes on all the activities in camp but of course if either of the alphas ordered her to do something than she would. It was just that she wanted to stay in this form as long as possible.

Ambrosia

Moving carefully along the edge of the fronts of the cabins Ambra inspected each one, brilliant blue eyes swirling with gold as she kept herself suspended between forms. Her teeth were slightly pointed and her ears as well as she remained partly wolf. Ambra rarely entirely held her human form with its limitations. It was so dull in comparison to her lupine senses. So she kept them by remaining partly between forms. She swept her pale locks from her chest back behind her shoulder so that they fell along her back and didn't impede her as she reached the last cabin, the only one her mate hadn't yet inspected.

It was made entirely from logs and seemed slightly more recently built than the others. The windows were boarded up much like some of the others to keep bears out but as she looked more carefully the wood was far too new to be from the era when the other cabins had been built. They couldn't have been more than a year old at the most, probably from last summer and the cabin itself was maybe 20 years old as opposed to the nearly sixty years of the other cabins. She wasn't quite worried just yet, someone passing through had probably used the cabin a lost human panning for gold. They were so fragile yet they ventured out here and risked life and limb for a resource that they might never see more than a few specks of. Their minds were not as well equipped as a Lycans, they simply could not compete.

Ambra stepped upon the porch of this peculiar cabin, inhaled deeply with her mouth slightly open so she could acquire the most scent possible. Nothing, absolutely nothing, all the wind and the rain had removed in trace of a scent of who had been here before but she continued on. This porch did not so much as creak as she moved across it, keeping her wondering about its existence. It really should not have been here at all. It was an extra and had not been listed on the deed to the property as the other cabins had. When Ambra reached the door the hair on the back of her neck stood her senses filled with a message that could have only been left by another Lycan; leave. A low growl escaped past her full pink lips as she looked at the door.

"James dear, do come here would you." She called as she spun the door knob and pressed the door open. When it swung inwards with a soft whoosh of air the scent hit her like a log truck; male and big. What alarmed her the most though was how recently lived in this cabin was. There was still food that was only a month or so gone bad laying on the counter. Then she caught another scent, human but it wasn't of the living. It was the sharp metallic smell of human blood she could not see any blood but there had definitely been someone at least extremely hurt here.

She turned her back on the inside of the cabin, they needed to send out some muscle to check at least the nearest several miles of territory. She looked around at her small pack, Niall would be a good choice as would Juniper and Adam. Ambra moved quickly to the edge of the porch, a blur of dark clothes and white skin and hair. "Niall, Juniper, Adam would you all please go give a quick sweep of the nearby area. Just a few miles out or so." That would be plenty of muscle and authority if there was anyone else out and about up here other than her pack. Very few wolves had any desire to take on a wolf as big as Niall let alone Niall with two others. She would have gone herself but she needed to be here to watch over the others and ensure nothing happened here and coordinate their unpacking.

James

James had managed To get the essentials into the first house. Things like cups and plates lay on the now dust free table, blankets and pillows stacked on the least broken of the chairs. Gazing around he noted the potential for greatness in the house. The simple wood structure just needed cleaned up a little and it wouldn't be so bad. It would be different than his previous homes, maybe that was a good thing.

Ambrosia called, her voice unmistakable and high. Looking out the door he saw her tall and dark against the snow, looming in front of the last cabin. He wandered toward her, his eyes picking over the scenery for any signs of wrongness. None were present until he arrived beside her in front of the cabin door. Pupils small he scored the cabin over his mates shoulders. The sharp scent of death and mixed with the must of food gone bad. Buried underneath lay the almost imperceptible lingering of another.

"Perhaps he was passing by." James said, understanding the fear of another werewolf living here, the food agreed with him, no one would purposely leave food. There was still the blood to deal with, it wasn't visible but it could spell out badly for the pack if it were in fact a dead human. Dead humans always attracted more humans.

Adam noticed that many of the others made themselves useful, which was what he was attempting to do with the horses and the knots. It hadn't taken long to find out that he had been wrong in his assumption of what a tie line was, not that he was really surprised. Instead of just tying them to an object you'd create a line of rope to attach the horses to. The teen was a little embarrassed when that became clear, as well as a little frustrated. Some of the others had moved to give them a hand, and before long they were almost finished.

That was when Ambrosia called out to them, Adam looking over his shoulder towards the porch she stood on as she told them to do a sweep. Inwardly groaning at the thought of more walking, he just wanted to relax if only a little. Yeah, yeah. I'll make sure to keep the big bad bunny rabbits away. The inner monologue was simply a meager attempt at retaliation to amuse himself. With a sigh he tightened one final knot and cast a quick glance at both Niall and Juniper before moving to drop his pack off at the base of a nearby tree rather than lug it around. "What does she think we'll find out there other than a bear maybe." Shrugging the turned his head to look at the area around them. "I mean, let's face it. We're out in the middle of absolutely nowhere.

She had been keeping a faithful eye on the young pup, taking the small second to rest a bit until she was needed since more than one person had already been of use unpacking or checking out the cabins for use. It was better that someone keep an ear out and protect the youngest of the pack anyway. It wasn't until she heard Ambrosia's voice that her head snapped in that direction, her ears going back a bit at the tone in her alpha females voice. Something was off, Juniper didn't know what but she would bet her life that something unsavory was going on and it put her on alert. She stood quickly, giving a slight shake to rid the snow off her belly before moving over to the other two males that would be joining her. "It could possibly be a bear but it is better not to assume what we are looking for because we could be completely incorrect. Just keep on a look out for anything and everything unwanted and take note of the things we may need or want to check into later. That is all we can do for now. As you said, we are in the middle of nowhere and anything could be lurking and wanting to stay hidden. Let's get a move on, the sooner we leave than the sooner we can return." spoke to them through the mind link since it seemed silly to shift into human form to speak and then back into wolf form to sweep the current area. Juniper stood in position to jet into the forest, waiting for the other two to shift so they could begin their given tasks.

Myst barked happily when the white beta wolf approached her, she quickly abandonment her search and her wagged her tail with excitement. The little pup quickly rubbed her face against the soft plush of white, welcoming the warmth of the adult. With a small yawn, she stretched and crawled closer to the beta. She curled up in a small ball to ward off the cool breeze and tucked her nose under her hind legs, drifting off to sleep.

Without a warning, the small fur covered pup was replaced by a sleeping child. A peaceful look rested upon her pale face, her breathing was slow and shallow, small crystallize water frame on her lashes and hair. At first glance, the sleeping girl appeared to be another victim to the cold kiss of mother nature.

The sudden shift of the older wolf brought Myst out of her slumber. She looked up at the beta, who left her side to join the other two males, and then over to the alpha; Ambrosia. Something was wrong, she did not understand what or why but suspicion filled the female alpha. Myst shook her head to get rid of the snow off her hair. A faint sound of something whirring through the air drew her attention away from the two alphas. She could not help of the low whimper escape her throat as she slowly got back on her feet, her small hands rubbed her eyes. Both confusion and fear consume Little Myst, tears slid down her cheeks.

Niall

Niall turned sharply as he looked toward the high ringing sound of his new Alpha's voice. She was a queen that was for sure and not one to be taken lightly. Niall had heard that her family was one of the most ruthless families in Eastern Europe. Rumors circulated about her everywhere that they had stopped. She'd done quite a bit of traveling since she had arrived in the United States, even stayed briefly with some of his own parents outer associate members. He was curious as to why they were going out on a scout so soon after they had arrived, he had figured that they would at least settle in a do a sweep in the afternoon. It was still relatively early in the day here.

He stepped away from the tie line where he horses were now firmly tied and standing quietly. As he did so his body quivered with the change, vibrating with the force that kept his body in one form or another and allowed him to change between them. He flashed into the towering lupine form the others were now familiar with, he shook out his inky black coat and stretched idly before padding over to Juniper and Adam. However when he noticed the tiny pup they'd acquired in her equally small human form crying the big hulking wolf headed for her. Licking her face and nosing her, letting her know everything would be alright so long as he didn't frighten her further.

He had a job to do though and could not stay and comfort the pup. 'I would be thinking more along the lines of another wolf judging from her face. Ambra would not be so alarmed by a bear.' Niall commented to the others. Someone like their alpha would not be so upset over a bear. Bears they could easily ward off or kill between two wolves depending on who it was. Bears, even large ones tended not to mess with Lycans, they sensed the danger. He trotted off into the wood line just ahead of where Juniper had been standing. This was the start of an adventure, they apparently weren't going very far anyways.

Ambrosia

@Classpet
Nodding at her mate's comment Ambra did not wish to fully alarm anyone but now was a time when she truly wished that she herself could go and track down the scoundrel that had been living here. If he had killed the human that had been squatting here there would be hell to pay. "Perhaps a bear got the human and whoever this was just stumbled upon it. Moon I hope so." She murmured as she looked at James. This could be a horrifically bad deal. Humans, though not pack creatures, were social nonetheless and they tended to be too curious for their own good. Far too curious and full of endless dreams of wild adventure.

Ambra swept across the porch, her long ankle length coat was one she had kept from back home. It was warm even in the coldest of places and was made of tanned bear hides, sew together by hand when she had turned sixteen. The outside was dark with wear and oil that kept the coat waterproof but the inside was the soft thick fur of a bear's winter coat. The brown bears in her homeland were ferocious and would kill pups if they caught them out in the forest and could physically catch them. It was always sad when someone lost a pup. She heard a small whimper off to the side of her and looked over at the child. Niall had nuzzled her but she didn't seem to be consoled by the large male though he was trying to assure her.

She made quick work of the space between her and the child, her icy blue eyes filled with warmth for the child. The pup had trudged along well enough through their long journey and she couldn't imagine losing her own mother at such a young age. Juniper had taken a keep liking to the pup though and was mothering her well enough. With Juniper now gone though Ambrosia swept the child up, holding her with ease. The bands of muscles in her arms flexed and rolled beneath her skin and the coat she wore. The child's parka was not quite what would be needed this far north and Ambra would have to get her another one. She sat Myst on her hip and tucked some of the little girl's loose hair behind her ear, "Na gabh dragh leanabh, tha a h-uile math." Her high voice was soft and silky smooth as she spoke to the little girl. One could almost never assume that Ambra would always speak the same language when she spoke as she was fluent in nearly too many to count from the time she had spent traveling. Most Lycans learned languages rather quickly just by exposure for one reason or another, it was also a knack of Ambrosia's.

Adam

Maybe it'd been naivety or ignorance that the thought of other packs or wolves being out here was a possibility, and once it hit his mouth snapped shut. This place suddenly became a little less safe, and after taking a moment to change into his wolf form his eyes had scanned the area now feeling not as sure as he had moments before. The wolf moved lumbered forwards and followed after the other two, his tired muscles now being ignored and tense as he moved. "So if we do run into another pack, what then?" They'd only been together for so long, none of the group had really found their place in the pack and the pack as a whole hadn't really had the chance to gauge how to react to things.

Now Adam was antsy, and as they moved through the wooded area his pace had unconsciously quickened over time. If someone or something was anywhere nearby he wanted to know about it, wanted the pack to know about it. Surprises only get people hurt. "We'd cover more ground if we were to split up." Adam had spoken through the link, the wolf looking over his shoulder at Juniper and Niall's wolf forms. While that was true, it was also true to be risky if their alpha had been that uncomfortable.

As he trod over to his mate, his form shifted back into a wolf. "Lets hope.." James commented, trailing off as he went. Perhaps it was all some sort of misunderstanding. Perhaps the humans would just stay away this time.

Padding across the snow he came to rest beside Ambrosia. The she wolf seemed so confident in her every move. She had such an air about her, he found himself hopelessly admiring her strength. Really he'd never felt like a leader as much as he did when he was around her. Not since Maurice died, but that was in the past.

He lay next to Ambra now, the pup too and listened to her sing. He could pick out the reassurance in the words, a lullaby to remind the child that she was safe.
