OOO good idea! Since people are put into the stone at different times and then they stop aging in stasis, the timeline is a little off, but I think working Romulus into the bio is kind of cool. Lets just say that Leda Orson was an actress for the Rock Bridge theater when Romulus came to the city for the first time. Maybe Leda was one of his mentors or something. Genevieve would hang around and help out backstage sometime so they may know one another, but this was back when she was 5-7 years old, until one night Leda and Genevieve packed up and left without any goodbyes. Does that sound ok with you?

Sounds good. He would have been in his late teens when he was in Rock Bridge. When he went into the stone he would have been in his mid-thirties, an utter shell of the man he once was, twisted by the torment of his cursed "Last Play". Maybe Genevieve would remind him of the humanity he once possessed?

Everyone in the city has their own story, their own suspicions on why Mira was sent to the Stone. Some say she used forbidden magic to cure her mother who was suffering from a terrible disease. She was beyond saving, the best doctors in the city could do nothing for her. Even the traditional methods Mira and her relatives used had failed. Desperate to save her mother they suspect she took matters into her own hands. In the shroud of night she dissappeared into some far off corner of the city to commune with an unholy entity of a time long forgotten.

my idea was of a supernatural creature, like a phantom, getting locked into a human body by a powerful wizard. he ended sent to the stone by letting too much of his true nature shine through and being mistaken for an adult snare.

@Quati Hum hrm hmm! For consistency's sake we could say the character hails from a dark dimension and was imbued into a human host by the very witch that had summoned the character. All of this must have been for some purpose for the witch's gain -- which obviously failed since the character was locked away in the Stone. Unless that was the plan. But why would that be the plan? ;)

I get the feeling that a lot of you are either striving to be badass or worried you're not badass enough, and that's causing writer's block. I would like to take this opportunity to mention some things for everyone's benefit:

This RP is NOT combat-oriented. You don't need powers to progress. You don't need to be tough. You don't need to even be brave. Those with SUPER AWESOME POWERS OF DESTRUCTION . . . may not get much chance to use them.

Powers, assets, weapons, cool artifacts, allies, etc. will be found in-game as the story progresses. Another reiteration of you do not have to be badass to play this game. In fact, those who start out as badass as possible have no room for development, and will get very little out of this story.

Character development is key. Be prepared to grow, learn, make hard choices, and have your character's views on life and morality challenged. The game will be based on exploration, decision, and personal growth. There IS a core story going on here -- one that involves the characters directly and is the reason the world has gone to hell -- and plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the chaos or strive to bring back order.

TL;DR: You could play as a child with no powers whatsoever and get more out of this RP than the world-destruction-level witch with dragon-wings and a minion army. Just saying. ;)

ohh, the 'dark dimension' sounds interesting to hear about o:'
what he would be in the original sketch is a spectral wolf, that haunts battlefields or places where blood was spilled. maybe he was summoned to give information about some ancient battle the witch needed to know about, or to marshal other spectres into haunting someone of the witch's choice?
the point of the character would be that he's stuck in a body that can't sustain him properly and he can't return to his own home and society i.e. the dark dimension, so the witch either isn't around anymore or... you know... had some sort of convoluted plan to plant a crippled ghost into the Stone. o^:

@Quati I say do whatever feels like it could be fun to play long-term. ;D Personally, (and just a suggestion) I'd say the witch had a vendetta against a particular person and forced your character to possess that person. Maybe that person was a well-known hero that the witch hated with a passion -- so when the hero started acting strange and eventually was taken to the Stone, the witch had won: the witch had not only destroyed the hero's mind and sentenced them to a slow death, but destroyed the hero's legacy as well.

@Mokley i really love this character tbh... i never really had an opportunity to use him in a long-term rp, so he's just an old sketch of a character that i'm looking forward to put together with the amazing other characters in this topic.
and that is genius, by the way. the witch wouldn't have any particular reason to let him go before the possession target was condemned but before being sent to the stone.
maybe i'll go straight up war hero with the original body, and put the witch on the opposing side, like a civillian from the kingdom the hero helped conquer.

Pigeon basically exists to assist the pcs in whatever they'd have her do, and I'm not emotionally attached to her continued survival. So npc I guess! Though she is fully developed. :)

Well it's not as detailed as I would like but I got a solid base of things I definately want to include.

So we have a witch (Rose), a lich (Adamar), a mad actor (Romulus), a murderer (Carnifex, gosh that names familiar) and a woman that invokes demons (Mira)? Am I getting that right? This should be fun!
