Just posting to say that I found a semi-functional solution to the virus issue beyond the initial temporary solution until it gets fixed for real; until then, due to the nature of said solution, I'll likely be lurking rather than making any long posts, just so everybody knows.

That being said, let's get some activity going, guys. We need people to conveniently meet up with one another, right? And besides that, uh, I'm under the impression in my mind that Lucius's response to Atella's proposition without any further input is probably going to end up being "brood menacingly for hours and hours without talking to anybody". I could use NPCs to push him toward her, of course, but multi-PC interaction is always a good thing. (I'm looking at you specifically, @Lord Coake. I know you've posted in @Jbcool's other WH40K game recently, and he did address you specifically in IC. Something from @Keepvogel and @Hank might also be interesting to respond to; I don't think you guys have any other plans for your characters thus far?)

@Keepvogel and I will hopefully get a post up this weekend, schedules permitting. We'll read the IC and respond accordingly -- I agree it'd be nice to have people meet up for some juicy interaction.

I'm thinking Lucius is going to notice Sanath staring at him after Atella walks off, and he'll just turn to stare back at him. Menacingly. So that'll probably happen as a post sooner or later.

In terms of gaining mutations - which can be split into gifts, rewards and afflictions, depending on a number of things (that's why we're all here, right?) - If you've not already figured it out your character may gain blessings (or curses...) from the gods in any number of ways.

You could do it by ritual, and feel free to be a creative as you like with these - specific rituals will get the attention of specific deities, of course - as well as acts undertaken by your character I.E. slaying an enemy champion, corrupting a population, desecrating an adversaries holy place and so forth.

The attentions of the gods - except for Papa Nurgle, who loves to see everyone suffer! - are pretty hard to come by via every-day prayers and so on. They are fickle, dangerous and unfathomable to the mortal mind, and to grab something from them takes much.

I'll be using a pseudo-Black Crusade system to record character's acts of devotion, then rolling on the mutation table(s). There will be possibilities to re-roll an undesirable mutation, to reverse a gifts from the gods, or even to put forward a desired mutation of your own; if this last one appeals to you, please feel free to discuss it with me here or via PM.

Oh, and P.S.S;

It appears that some of us may already have slight/minor gifts E.G. Salvius using his mind-whammy to talk to Father Wilbur, or Noxious (can never emember your character's name!) Being generally 'plaguey', or Atella being alluring but not really too alluring to be supernatural/divinely gifted.

If anyone's characters are of this ilk, then please make it known here so I can assess things a wee but easier on the mutations front.

Draco does not have mutations at this point in time.

As far as I have it thought through, Salvius is currently basically capable of:
1. Speak to someone telepathically over short distances (I was thinking width of large room)
2. Glean information about someone through their presence in the warp when touching said person.
Both of these abilities would be stronger in regards to Gormog due to familiarity, if Hank is ok with that.

I'll let you be the judge about whether these abilities are too strong at the current point in the story, @Jbcool.
