Known For: Promethea is the seat of the world's first empire, and final bastion of the Promethean race. It is known for its warlike traditions, and sacrificial religious practices. In the past century, a recurrent plague has stricken Promethean females, and carries a 90% mortality rate which has crippled the entire population. Other races however, do not seem troubled by the mysterious virus. As a result, Promethea is also seen as a fading power - and ripe for conquest.
Culture: Prometheans value strength over all things, and acquiring things is measured only be one's ability to physically take them. This has resulted in a backwards economy, and at times, widespread starvation and civil war. There are no laws, but one: Do unto they, who did unto you.

There is a particular dislike for half-race offspring, and such children are normally slaughtered at birth - and the offenders with them. This stems from the belief that the Promethean Plague is the Great Ape's wrath, that has been brought forth by the weakening of the Promethean gene pool through interspecies relations.

Religion Overview: Prometheans worship the Great Ape in the Sky - a mythical creature who is said to have spawned the Prometheans, and declared them the world's rightful owners. Child sacrifice features heavily in Great Ape worship.

The Aletheians (as the inhabitants of the city of Aletheia have come to be known) are a stout, strong-willed and hardy folk. They have become experts of the open sea and fishery, relying on the vast sea around them for their livelihoods and source of food. As a result, fish is without a doubt the most common foodsource in Aletheia. While there are farms, and indeed hunting lodges, the farms do not provide enough bread for the entire populace and more 'exquisite' meats of deer and other-such forest dwelling animals have become rarities enjoyed largely by the highborns alone.

Their climate is warm, and they have become accustomed to such. Indeed, they have yet to encounter a harsh winter or heavy snowfall and survive in almost perpetual summer-like conditions.
