A hall surrounded by lava sounds much cooler.

That's far too edgy xD

Wait, what? For a 2.5 additional Might per turn we'd have to wait another 4 turns to get a second site and we're now limited to four instead of five?

Well, suddenly this actually became a pretty bad proposition. Eight turns down the line we'd actually be better off if we'd made individual holy sites and reinvested four turns later like normal. I'd imagine the HOLY SITE HYPE train is going to slow down now.

Edit: As in, you'd be MUCH better off if you don't make a joint holy site. It's something like a 10-15MP income difference, which is huge

Already told you all I did the math. Why does nobody listen to the God of Order! (Whose player may or may not have an accounting degree)

@Legion02 I'd be down for a Hall of Justice. Logos gets a throne though. A big throne. You can all sit in footstools.

First I thought: let's just say that every god can make his own throne in the Hall of Justice (or whatever we call it). But then I realized that several gods would definitely try to outperform each other. Which would all end with one goddess who thinks she's funny saying that everyone's compensating for something...

Sounds like a good way to keep this from being broken, but I'm still considering retracting that last post (naturally only if @BBeast agrees) or altering it to where part of it is Teknall's and part Zephyrion's (and therefore it's not really a joint site) as per one of our original plans. I'll talk to BBeast about it.

I think that's fair considering we made this before all of these rules had been set.

Well, you were vague about how you did it. I took into consideration that I'd be spending some Might along the way and such as well, but regardless, I'm still interested in seeing your calculations if you're willing to share. Specifically I'm curious as to how you're actually worse off 2 or 3 turns down the road. By my math you're way ahead for about that long but then you fall behind once everyone else gets their second holy site and is coming close to a third by the time you only have a second.

The reason Logos is more hated than Zeus is probably because Zeus freed the first Olympians from Kronos's stomach and actually led them to victory against the Titans. Logos just showed up and declared himself King without any deeds or power to back such a presumptuous claim. If you want Logos to be more like Zeus, he should be a sexual deviant as Zeus married his own sister and would do anyone in whatever form he pleased. actually do something worthy of being kinged for.

Astarte doesn't think much of Logos, but I think he's as arrogant as all other Gods combined. Claims to be the strongest, most important God while the truth is he's as vulnerable as everyone else.

Exactly! Heck, if one of us was annoyed enough and decided to do something, it would be an even fight.
JVAN could in theory take him on.

I'm glad the joint-site hype has been snuffed out. Severe disadvantages would have been had.

Kyre would be the worst opponent for any other god in a straight up fight. Any volunteers to test this?

Maybe go with 2 seperate holy sites really close together? Or Teknall could build one inside Zephyrion's...

@Mardox To an extent. In Logos's eyes though, he's already earned the title through great deeds. To walk the Road is an painful act, and he carried with him the memory of the Old so this world could be New. He has walked the In Between.

It's no carving dad open with a scythe, but it's nothing to scoff at. As far as he's concerned, you lot are a bunch of petulant upstarts who have no idea just what powers your using.

Of course we'd be even in a direct fight. Hell; were designed that way. But the Immortal game is never won through direct conflict. The reason the gods scheme is because it's the only challenge we have left.

Sides, I now have MATTER to use in this reality. Physics is in full swing, and Logos has plenty of tricks to use now.

A day or two ago I was in a PM conversation and made my own arbitrary ranking for how I think each of the gods will do in a fight. I suppose I'll share it here to see what the rest of you think of it.

Hmm. I wonder if I forgot anyone on that list.

I'm not denying that Logos has tricks. As for the walking the Road and Old Universe stuff, the other gods don't know this and they don't see it as actually helping the New Universe become a thing any more than they helped. As for memories of the Old Universe, we all have them and here's a little about mine:

@Cyclone Let's also consider that direct one on one confrontation isn't the only thing. Slough could bury Kyre in lifeforms, Logos could discover Vesetec weakness and use it against him, Mammon could build powerful seals and bind away Zephyrion.

If Power was all that mattered, the Olympians would never have ruled the titans.

Astarte doesn't care where she came from. What use is knowing such a thing? The old Universe is gone and nothing done in it matters any more. It's best to just start from scratch and prove yourself to others instead of telling stories that most everyone else will think are fake.

Edit: Also, can you imagine how powerful a God Soul is? Picture Astarte getting the help of Vestec and stealing someone's soul. That could potentially be used for really destructive things.

Agreed. A direct combat ranking isn't that helpful when indirect combat could greatly effect the outcome of a feud.
Still, I appreciate the list.
