*quietly deletes Damian Wayne CS*

You know I would challenge that sheet with the quickness.

I dare you just for the voting.

I'd be willing to entertain this.

Honestly, after reading through each CS again, I'm gonna have to vote for @Gowi's Superman. @Morden Man's was great, as always, but I just sorta enjoy the sense of continuity and legacy Gowi has built for the character. I know a lot of people here preferred Morden's for the opposite reason, but I just feel like it's been, what, 6ish years since Superman has been around, doing things? I feel like there's a little more leeway when it comes to adding a rogue's gallery and supporting cast. Plus, I personally feel like Gowi's Supes retains some of Morden's introspection whilst allowing him to remain a little... Brighter.

I'm sorry, Morden, please still love me.

Pretty much what I was going to say. You made this a lot easier for me, lol. I love both sheets, as I think both bring something unique to Superman, but after spending most of my morning classes contemplating who to vote for, I have to say I go with @Gowi's.

After letting the decision stew a bit and listening to others' reasoning, I'm gonna cast my vote for @Morden Man. I think his concept gels just a little better with the overall universe, which only makes sense considering he's the architect of it all. Like @Vandy, I am a little worried that this Supes is coming across a bit too political, too sharp-edged, but I trust Morden's ability to get me to buy into it with time.

@Gowi, I love your Superman. Janitorial duties and facial hair preferences aside, he's classic. And in most RPGs, that's exactly what I'd gravitate towards with Big Blue. I did worry, though, that you had introduced a bit too much history. The Kryptonian invasion, for instance, feels like something that should happen "onscreen," as it were. However, as I said above, it's ultimately just the slightly better fit between character and universe that gave Morden the edge.

However the vote plays out, I can't wait to see what the other has in their back pocket.

Yeah, I can see where this perspective comes from. But I thought using the backstory the GM set up I could throw that or something like that to add even more weight to Luthor's agenda with the Justice League instead of just trying to one-up him.

Green Arrow is certainly the more "impactful" choice by virtue of being a potential Justice Leaguer/Avenger. Of course, impactfulness need not be the only metric by which you choose your character. If you'd rather play Selina, I say go for it.

@The Grey Warden I'd quite like to see you take a crack at Ollie, though I did enjoy your Selina last time I read it, so either would be good. For the sake of the game I think Green Arrow would be more significant.

Alright, thanks for the help! I am thinking of staying as Ollie.

I suppose the time has come from me to cast my vote has it not @Morden Man@Gowi? And to list the reasons for my betrayal. In the End I must go with Gowi's version of the Blue Boy Scout. To me, my favorite takes and versions of Superman are the ones that make Superman like another alien who goes on adventures and is surprisingly the most human individual of us all, while still analyzing how a man with basically God-Powers would effect and react in our world. To me those are the interpretations that really connect and help you not only empathize with his character but also broaden him to degrees which he is usually not covered. In short I find the story of the man behind the God and how he is perceived to be the more interesting tales. So in that regard I must say that Gowi achieves this, his Superman is not a influential reporter but a night janitor, he want's to give Luthor a chance but like any human he can't get past being burned once before, and yet ever still he tries to fight the good fight ever still. He hasn't given up on the world. And in the Universe this RP is in frankly the heroes need somebody like that. They need somebody to stand as an idealization of what they could stand for if they did'nt let politics get in the way. And Gowi's sample with it's more introspective take helps show these things and helps give depth. That is not to say Morden that your sheet is not great as well it is. I find your take on the Man of Steel is interesting and could be fascinating to me he's not Superman. He's seems too politically charged, has become too much of a God in the search of fairness. He does not seemed conflicted, it's either his way or the highway. And while I usually adore your writing style this just makes Clark feel dead and almost Robotic. Which I understand is probably what you were going for it just does not click with me, not this time. Sorry.

Please don't hate me forever. xD

I think twenty four hours is probably a good bet. Twenty-four hours for everything - from application to acceptance and for voting. Of course, if the vote gets out of hand before then we can always call it.

A N N O U N C E M E N T:

My first arc as Batman is open to anyone who wishes to get involved. I'm running with the name 'One Knight To Kill The Bat', a mysterious benefactor has pledged fifty million dollars to the individual who brings them the head of the Bat. One hundred million to anyone who can capture him alive so they can kill the Bat themselves.

So if anyone has an ambitious villain, Gotham is calling.
