Don't get him started on Damian being around before Dick, Jason and Tim.

The awesomeness that is Damian is all that is required. Those minor, unimportant, impotent characters are unnecessary.

Besides, I'm a DickBats fan, so this is all part of a conspiracy to replace Bruce with the real Batman.

Bruce isn't even remotely close to how you spell Grayson.

I also have a feeling this is gonna be the campaign that I'll leave for a few hours and come back to 100+ messages. Another reason I'm hesitant about joining large group games.

@FantasyChic Most of it is general chatter and the occasional clearing up of details for the IC thread. If you come back and a lot has happened since you left, just ask in the OOC thread if you missed anything significant and I (or whoever is around) will bring you up to date. Chances are they'll say - "We've just been shooting the shit, really."

A active OOC is better for the game, anyway.

Hang on, though. Why would Ivy even be out of place? Okay, sidekicks coming too early I get, but Ivy's just a villain. Not being argumentative, just genuinely curious about the reasoning.

I'm generally around when Morden isn't and vice versa. Benefits of having GMs on opposite sides of the Globe.

I believe it has to do with Batman not having fought a supervillain yet and Ivy being clearly established and doing her own thing. Which I don't mind, I don't think Ivy is necessarily hinged to Batman anymore than any other hero. Sure she's known for being part of his Rogue Gallery but I don't see why she can't exist as a separate character.

All relations to the JLA members are unspoken. Because I'm not sure how they all feel about each other (AKA, I don't even know which of you commented about it in your CSs)

Also, not finished if I need a post sample. Looking at you @Vandy. Time to step up to the plate man.

I think it was the whole "No Gotham" thing I did. Maybe?

But I would also like to know why. Gowi did a nice cop-out.

Kudos to @Blue Demon for being one of the few people to remember that Batman is a Leaguer. A reserve one but he's on the team still damnit.

Well Morden Man did say his ruling is final. If he's ok with it, then that's that. But I would like to point out that the rules say Mainstream Marvel and DC. It didn't specify heroes only, no sidekicks. I am sure Robin could come out as his own "hero" given the right motivation.

I sort of believe when Batman is only just now getting into the thick of his career where he hasn’t tangled with his more audacious and eccentric villains (The Joker, Two Face, etc.) that it kind of goes beyond my personal suspension of belief. Basically you can sum it up as she’s a legacy character that hasn’t debuted in-continuity and has been changed to accommodate player interest rather than storytelling dynamic. This is not an insult towards Blue Demon, who I’ve written with before and completely trust but rather my subjective feelings that “it’s too soon” for both Ivy and Harley. But I can put my preferences aside and put trust in the players and the GM’s, because ultimately this isn’t my personal fan-fiction and it has a different feel than the RP’s I run, so I’m just going with the flow. I just want to point out my personal misgivings.

And the only one that isn't listed by their true name. *Shakes fist* It's driving me nuts. Do I leave Bats as the odd man out, or list them all by their codenames? The dilemma still continues.

The GM also has told players not to “ultimize” thus meaning to not make major character changes that ‘reinvent the wheel’ as the idiom goes. I was allowed for variation on Wonder Woman after a discussion about it, but someone who made bigger changes like turning Black Panther into a teenager in New York City wasn’t. There are exceptions to this so far, but I believe Morden has been consistent in his rulings for the most part. This is why the issue of Harley comes up because her traditional origin is impossible in the framework of the game.
