"Have you heard the news?!" Heads snapped upwards to the boy standing in the doorway with a phone within one hand and a grin spread across his face. "Card Captor did it again!" He seemed almost giddy at the prospect as many student's pulled out their phones and began typing away.
"What happened?" Asked another male as the first boy moved towards them with his screen pointed out. "She was seen on a security camera from last night! It looks like at the Penguin Park she was fighting off some kind of lightning thunder cat thing! It explains why we had such intense lightning and thunder last night!" He chattered quicker and quicker as quite a few of the students huddled around the phone.
"Oh Card Captor is so cooooool!" Exclaimed one of the girls with stars in her eyes. Another, "Her costumes are so cool too! She's so cute and so awesome! Kyaaaaa~!" The pair of girls blushing and sighing together.
"How many does that make this week?"
"She's at three this week!"
"Oh, it would be so cool to be saved by her!" Many voices chattered together in agreeance.
A snicker came from a pair of girls sitting together as they observed the gathering and listened to the chattering filling the classroom in the early morning. One with blonde hair pulled into a folded hair do on the back of her head with two braids leading back to it. Her eyes a deep green color and sharp as can be. Her kept a wicked smile on her face- some would say that it was almost a pointed smile.
The other was a female with tawny hair pulled back into a tight ponytail, pieces of her hair on either side of her face. She, too, had green eyes though hers were far brighter than the blonde's. Her eyes held a bit of amusement in the as they lowered to the phone in her own hands where the same clip played over and over.
A girl with long wavy, almost curly, hair coming into view just a moment before a bolt of lighting crashes down in front of her. The camera white screens for a moment before focusing in again on the pair as they stood facing one another-both of them ready to pounce. The girl, Card Captor, was clad in a rather adorable outfit of pink and back and what looked to be like matching black cat ears atop of head and a pink star staff in her hands. The girl moved quick enough as a circle appeared around her feet and wings sprouting from her ankles. She jumped out of screen for a moment as the beast unleashed a wicked bolt of lightning upwards.
There was a few seconds of stillness as the beast, too, jumped upwards. Light seemed to brighten and dim until the moment when the cat eared girl landed once more with the Star Staff in her hands and another summoning circle appearing. Her hand moved forward as one of her signature cards was used. Shadows slipped out from under her feet only to shoot outward and ensnare the Thunder beast that landed across the way. It seemed to roar loud enough to vibrate the camera just enough to cause it to un-focus while the beast began to disappear.
The Shadows and Thunder Beast disappeared into two dark rectangles on the screen before the earred girl's fist shot into the air and a little jump with happiness. She turned so that she was facing somewhat towards the camera- it now very clear that her face wasn't going to be seen anytime soon as her eyes were covered by a reflective black strip of glass or plastic. She moved away rather quickly before going off screen completely- the video repeating itself.
"If I didn't believe it I'd think that this whole thing was a really well done piece of Photoshop." The brunette quietly commented as she snapped her phone shut while the blonde across from her chuckled, "Yeah, if only it were Photoshop." There was something behind her words but the brunette didn't think too much upon it...at least for now. It wasn't the time or the place to be worrying about the slowly growing deck in her bag or the talking plush toy back in her home.
