*He turns back to the girl that he bumped into and that spoke to him. He wasn't too happy about this kind of situation, measuring up the girl. She didn't seem too much of a threat in his eyes, but looks can be deceiving as he has learned. He keeps his eyes on her before speaking up* "I'm in a bit of a rush, you should also watch out. Seems easy to bump into you..." *He didn't have time for this, he grunts and quickly waves her off. Seemingly rude in her eyes as he continued for the Pharmacy, but he listened for her. Just in case she tried anything against him. He didn't want a fight give the circumstances, but he would be more then fine with one*

"You think I can't handle myself?" Jen asked, turning to face Leo fully, "I've lived on these streets for long enough, I know the ins and outs of a street race. I've picked up a few clients from some of them as well."
She wondered whether she should stick around for this one, try and make some quick money.

The park always brought to her a sense of peace when she saw it, a place not too far from the city, but oh so distant from the drugs, the gangs, the crooked cops, and all the sordid mayhem that ate it alive like a ravenous parasite. Here, she was in her own little world, just her and her beat up acoustic.

Children played and laughed chasing after an adorable Scottish Terrier puppy bouncing about on his hind legs through a clear verdant meadow of grasses and wildflowers, old men, withering with age, sat swapping stories of a past long gone around a faded checkerboard while sipping tea, young lovers resided underneath the cool shade of a towering, fully blossomed oak beside the sparkling emerald waters of the river, sharing a kiss or two and carving their names into the thick bark of the tree, a testament to their love never to fade, and Liz...she sat at her usual place, the bench nearby the old fountain in the midst of it all.

She loved it, every sight, every sound culminating so well with the gentle trickle of water, the chirping and serenading of songbirds in the trees, the rustle of the grass as a cute, tiny squirrel dashed away from her, and of course...the sound of her pick strumming the coiled metal strings of her instrument. Her eyes closed, her fingers danced across the frets, playing every note in perfect musical precision. No sheets of music to read off; she didn't need them. Whatever she played, it was genuine, from the heart.

And the people seemed to like it too, as she heard a few coins and such hitting against the open guitar case by her feet, yet not a single pause to say thank you. Instead, she kept playing, her gracious gesture as a simple nod to the person and a wry smile.

@Carlsberg Leo sighed and said "fine do what you wish" He got into his car and drove down into the culvate to meet up with the other members of his gang. One of Leo's friends got out of his car and said "you always seem to be here first. Leo got out of his car and smiled and said "well of course i'm the fastest driver here, I'm always first. His other friends arrived and they all shook hands. The friends said "so it ends up the boss is going to watch this race." Leo said "why is watching this isn't a big race." Another friend said "it ends up your reputation is larger than you think, the other gang is bringing their best racers." Leo said "well maybe this will be an actual challenge" He smiled after saying that. His first friend said "they're going to be gunning for you." Leo patted his friend on the back and said "I've gotten use to risking my life."

Jen shook her head a little, following the car to where she knew the races took place. She walked over to Leo and put her hand out.
"I'm Jen. It's nice to meet you," She said, a smile on her face.
She didn't hold anything against the guy for trying to look out for her. Honestly, the concern was kind of touching.

These days, twenty bucks wasn't much, but it was enough to help her get by. True, she could have made more if she was a whore or a dope dealer in this god forsaken city, but if there was one thing Liz was never going to do...it was sell her soul to this rotten place.

She sighed, walking along the train tracks back to the smog and filth of the inner city, her guitar slung over her back and the cash she made today stuffed in the pocket of her frayed and tattered skinny jeans. That should be suitable for more food, and maybe a bottle of Jack for her friend Mike.

Down on the storm drain below, where the river once flowed wild and free before urbanization raped nature and defiled her beauty, there seemed to be some sort of commotion, a bunch of cars, street rods and amped up classic muscle from the looks of them. The illegal street racing circuit was big here in this city, that much Liz knew. From time to time she did frequent some of the races. They were exciting, the adrenaline rush, the feel of raw horsepower just inches away from you as it screamed by.

Her face was pressed against the chainlink fence, a curious gaze. Then...she spotted someone out of the crowd. Was that...her?

"Jen?"

Leo looked at the girl who was now introducing herself. Leo sighed and said "my name is Leo" He shook her hand. He then heard a voice behind him say "You aren't going to spend you winnings on that broad are you" Leo turned around to see a Man who had two women one in each arm. The man's name was Zach he was the best racer of the other gang. Leo said "I'm actually disappointed I thought this race was going to be a challenge, not a cruise in park with a man who has to pay women to stay around him for more than 5 seconds." Zach scowled and said "we'll see who is laughing after the race." Zach walked away. One of Leo's friends said "man he hasn't changed one bit."

"Those two aren't cheap either. They're some of the more expensive prostitutes in this part of town," Jen said, talking about the two women hanging around with Zach.
She glanced over Leo's shoulder, noticing a familiar face. She smiled a little, winking at Liz, before making a motion for her to join them.

Just at that sly wink, she felt her face grow hot. A small smile crept across her lips as she decided to hop the fence and make her way down to the riverbed, stumbling a little when her feet made contact with the concrete.

"Hey." She greeted Jennifer, actually quite happy to see her again. "I'm...sorry about earlier
" She apologized before looking over at the guys, namely the one with the baddest looking car there. "Friends of yours?" She asked Jen raising an eyebrow.

Jen smiled at her.
"It's fine, nothing to worry about. You probably had things to do anyway," She said, tapping her lightly on the shoulder with her fist, before turning back to Leo, "Actually no, I just met him. I think he' about to race. Should be fun to watch."

She smiled back at Jen then turned to the guy she pointed out. "Sick ride." She said looking over his car. Dude must've put a lot of work into it Liz thought. Definitely looked like it would smoke this other guy's whip in nothing flat. And yeah, now that she thought about it, why not stick around?

One of Leo's friends said "it's show time, he's here" Leo turned to see the two gang bosses were walking up. Leo's boss walked up to Leo and said "you know what happens if you lose." Leo's smiled disappeared as he said "yes sir" with a serious face. His friends all went to their cars. Leo said "sorry we can keep talking I've got to go." He hopped into his car and drove it into position.@Carlsberg@Rusalka

Jen watched him walk off.
"Do you think he'll win?" She asked.
She paused for a second.
"Do you want to find somewhere to watch it?" She asked, "If you're lucky, I might even give you some half time entertainment."
She giggled a little at the last bit.
"Or, if you prefer, we can skip straight to the entertainment."

It was starting, engines revving loud as the racers took their positions, ready to light a fire across the dry concrete of the storm drain.

Liz shrugged; she didn't really know how this race was gonna turn out, or who was going to be the victor. Her main concern was the cops didn't show up and bust them, killing her buzz for the afternoon.

She had only seen a few races, but they were still exciting as hell.

A heavy blush overtook her face, painting it red upon hearing those libidinous comments once more. She couldn't deny she would definitely sleep with Jen, but it was a tad intimidating how...forward she was.

"Eh..." Lightly she shrugged her shoulders again. "I think I'll stick around and watch the race. Besides, the excitement, the danger..." A rather devious smirk across her lips as she turned to Jen, purring in her ear. "It really gets my engine revving." Hey, if she was gonna be so forward, Liz might as well follow suit.

Leo pulled up to the start line. Zach pulled up next to him and said "once this race is your I'm going to enjoy trashing your car." Leo said "I think you'll be too busy walking home to do so." One of the two girls Zach brought walked out front and held up a handkerchief. She then waved it and all the cars roar as they leaped from the starting line and began to fly down the channel.

"Naughty girl," Jen said with a purr of her own, before wrapping an arm around the girl and drawing her a little closer to her, "Well, I'll try and keep my hands to myself. However hard that maybe."
She gave the girl a devious stare, the smile on her face far from innocent. Oh, the fun she could have with this girl.

"You better, or I might have to bite you." A little nip of Jen's earlobe as she whispered in her ear, her heated breath cascading against the girl's skin. She was starting to warm up to the idea of getting this girl in bed. If not that, then maybe a quiet alleyway with her back pushed against the wall.

Her licentious gaze met with Jen's, an equally lustful smile shared between the two.

Then the race kicked off, the roar of the engines like shockwaves crawling up her legs. Damn, between that and Jennifer, it might be Liz having the problem of keeping her hands to herself.

Andrew looked up from the laptop. Something had gotten Goliath's attention, and the little dog growled. He thought he was a Great Dane or something, but he didn't even weigh four pounds dripping wet. "Hush," the young man said, and Goliath looked back at him apologetically. "Damn those big brown eyes. Always getting you out of trouble."

Benji scratched his chin and yawned before a balled up newspaper smached him in his forehead. "The fuck!" He jumped up looking around his eyes coming across an old friend of his. For safety well just call his friend Rus. The young man possibly similar in age to Benji sat next to him on his bench and had a wide grin on his face. Ben looked at him and then at the ground. "The fuck is wrong with you!" He asked in a rhetorical manner that was obviously a tone used between best of friends. "Ya know! There's a race happening as we speak!" Rus said, his speech was fast but clear and Ben understood every word that came out of his friends mouth. "So!" Ben responded. Him and Rus clearly know that he doesn't enjoy dropping money on races. Ben was more of a scam the guy in his face kind of person. "I know! I know! It wouldn't kill you to go to one just to go!" Rus quickly responded nudging on his shoulder. "There's probably bad bitches there that'd be down to pay to sleep with them!" Rus smiled with his last statement. Ben just starred at him as if he can imagine himself slapping the living hell out of Rus. He exhaled and said. "You know damn well prostitutes don't fuck with cyclopes!" Rus laughed as Ben said this. Ben even chuckled a bit to. He stood and patted his pockets. "Welp! We'll be late but why the fuck not! Let's go see some lifesize hot wheels race like mad men!" Rus quickly jumped to his feet and followed Ben as they made their way to the racing site.

Roxy glared at the boy but he moved on. She shook her head. She wondered why he was in such a hurry. She thought about following him. Her curiosity had gotten her into trouble before. She didn't have anything that she needed to do. She could at later. She decided that she would watch him for while. Atleast it would give her something to do for awhile. She followed the boy silently her knife still in her hand just in case.
