On another note, I've been thinking for a while now to give Ull the gender change ticket. Will even out the male-female gender ratio a little and won't be so awkward when creating demigods XD

Right now it's 14-6 in favour of male gods :)

If you want to, go for it, but I agree that it's not necessary.

I don't see why that's necessary. There is no 'reproduction' or 'fertility' domain, so gods can basically do what they want when it comes to procreating. A bunch of the character sheets state that gender is merely aesthetic or for the sake of better comprehension anyway.

I hope you're not counting Slough as an eligible female god. I mean, there's precedence for male gods and horses, but getting flirty with Slough would be like a 2-for-1 bestiality and necrophilia. Yeesh. I regret writing that, but I might as well post it.

@Antarctic Termite mind if I have Slough go somewhere else? It would seem that you've taken care of life in the Fractal Sea on your own.

A few globs of life-ooze would still be appreciated just to increase diversity, but yes, go ahead and be free.

Now if you don't mind, I have a whole mass of continuity errors to sweep under the rug.

@Antarctic TermiteJvan is the god second best to deal with continuity errors, by dint of being weird as balls.

No. I'm just saying that attempting to mate with Slough would be a terrible idea in principle and execution.

@Antarctic Termite

I really want Vestec to somehow have heard Jvan and just appear next to her "Here I am! No rooting out needed!"

But that isn't possible and now I'm sad.

Even if it were necessary to have both genders to create demigods (we have shape-shifting and asexual reproduction), it would be easily solved with sapient sex dolls mortals.

@BBeastJust to pin Teknall down -- is it the act of crafting he most embodies, or the crafted things themselves?

Teknall and his Domain encompasses both, but he is more strongly linked to the act of crafting.

P.S. How are these creatures?

@BBeastI'm going to go ahead and say my head-canon is that they're giant armadillos. And I won't let anyone stop me.

Side note: now that a sentient race has been developed, how fast are we going to move through time? I reckon we've got about two to one hundred thousand years until the Hain independently develop civilisation.

Going off what Kho mentioned a while back, I think the periods leading up to medieval times are going to be stretched out a bit longer than before. I must admit, though, that I'm not sure how long it was in earlier iterations.

Anyway, the hain should be clever enough to follow basic cults if people want to get in early with that. Depends what people feel like doing.

I'm unsure if it has been decided that we're not developing humans on Galbar - if we haven't, then the hain will be an interesting species to play around with and evolve into various sub-species over a period of some 200,000 years. Though note that they are not very war-like and we are going to have to be mindful of that fact when playing their development.
For some reason, after reading the Urtelem sheet, I had the sudden notion that they seem like the kind of species that the hain would choose to develop around/stay near. That can protect them and also ensure that intelligent Ashlings don't develop xP

@KhoThat said, they look like they have the capacity for warfare.

I was very interested in how they'd interact with the Urtelem too. Seems like a possible domesticated animal, like dogs or horses. In fact, their strength might catalyse an age of newfound violence amongst the Hain -- the main reason they don't fight is because they can't kill each other easily.

Pretty soon I'm going to try to give them the small gift of body art, mostly by shell etching. Also a cult the earliest major artistic movements.
