@thewizardguy Straightup just grabbed the first bit of technobabble off the top of my head. Now that I think about it, it doesn't make much sense, I'll change it.
With regards to the Ashtar as a faction, a few galaxies is a drop in the ocean of an omniverse. Their scale isn't really very important though, so it could just as easily be 5 galaxies.
@Ozerath With changes, Lyena and the Ashtar are accepted.
And the size is fine, no need to alter it. I don't expect characters and factions to compare to the Omniverse, as it's size is practically infinite (contains all fictional and nonfictional universes).
Abilities: Ace Pilot: A decorated ace who has been through many a battle, Ray is trained on a wide variety of R-series machines and possesses the skill and mental fortitude of an ace pilot.
Bydo Symbosis: An experimental treatment based on the same principals as the SLL's Bydo Bind System and the Force control rods, Ray's body has been intentionally integrated with a mass of Bydo DNA, kept in check by the suit fused to his person and sheer force of will. This gives him a number of capablities- most notably, it allows Ray to quickly regenerate damage to his person, interface directly with most forms of technology, detect the general location, size, and number of living lifeforms within 20 AU, and survive without basic necessities such as sleep, food, water, and air due to tapping into the Bydo's unique energy waveform.
Equipment: TL-2B2 Hyllos
The final iteration of the heavily-armored humanoid R-series machines, only two Hyllos units were ever manufactured. The Hyllos-1 was a tremendous boon to the Space Corps in their war against the Bydo Empire, and one of the few units to survive the full length of the conflict. The Hyllos-2 unit was thought lost in a Bydo ambush, though in reality it was warped away in the same accident that transported Ray and his escort.
Transformation: The Hyllos can change freely between a large aerospace fighter and a mecha that stands at 26 meters tall. In mecha form, the craft's afterburners are reconfigured into large beam claws that can slice through most solid materials. Both forms can operate equally well in air, water, and space.
Vulcans: The Hyllos is equipped with a pair of plasma-based vulcans capable of punching through heavy armor. Though the firing rate and power are high, the weapon's field of fire is very narrow.
Bit Conductors: The Hyllos is equipped with two bit conductors, capable of controlling shield or shadow-type bits. Shield bits have the same defensive abilities as a Force unit and can absorb shots, while Shadow bits carry the offensive capabilities of a Force's Bydogen structure and inflict damage on foreign matter they come into contact with.
Lightning Wave Cannon: A Wave Cannon model originally developed for the R-13 Cerberus, it fires homing bolts of Wave energy that can freely ricochet off walls to reach targets behind cover. A Wave Cannon requires full reactor output to charge, so the pilot cannot use Force abilities or fire the vulcans while it charges.
6-Way Homing Missles: The Hyllos is equipped with homing missles that eject from the rear of the unit. They have a very high rate of fire and accuracy, but their stopping power is low.
Forces: The Hyllos is capable of equipping any one Force unit at a given time. A Force unit is a pilot-controlled satellite unit formed from a sphere of embryotic Bydo cells kept from maturing by control rods. When attached to a parent unit, a Force is used to focus energy through a laser crystal for attacks. A Force can also be ejected from the parent unit and fight independently, though without the reactor output of an R-series craft it is forced to rely on blasters built into the frame of the unit. Most importantly, though, a Force is by nature an extremely efficient catalytic convertor. It will break down and absorb any and all foreign materials that contact the central sphere and diffuse energy that comes into contact with it due to the unique physical properties of the Bydogen that makes it up.
Saber Force: The stock Force commonly equipped to humanoid units, this Force forms a large plane of energy that can be used like a blade, as well as fire beams at 45-degree angles from the unit.
Cyclone Force: A gel-like Force that distorts easily when introduced to the rigors of flight, it has no ranged attacks when detatched but makes up for it with a large orbiting energy ring that deals catastrophic damade to anything it comes into contact with. When attatched to the R-craft, it provide piercing attacks and the ability to fire in a rough 80-degree cone in front of the Force unit.
Shadow Force: The only fully manmade Force unit, it's purpose is to provide 360-degree coverage with its lasers, as well as a pair of shadow units that fire opposite the direction the R-craft is facing. Extremely versatile, and capable of pulling off otherwise impossible shots, but stopping power is low and requires sustained fire to be effective.
Round Force: The workhorse of the Space Corps, it fires beams that can ricochet off walls, and can fire directly upwards, downwards, and forwards from the main unit. when detatched, it is equipped with four blasters mounted on the control rods.
Chain Force: This Force can generate a continuous forward-firing laser as well as a homing beam and a pair of sweeping vertical lasers. When detatched, it remains connected to the unit by an energized chain, allowing the unit to be used as an energy flail of sorts.
TP-2S Cyber Nova: Additionally, the Hyllos is followed into battle by a support craft, based on the standard-issue TP-2 POW Armor. The AI-piloted armor is equipped with the Supernova Wave Cannon for fire support, as well as the ability to carry up to two Force units and reserve supplies for the Hyllos, allowing the primary machine to change weapons mid-firefight.
He also carries a small blaster, a combat knife, and an emergency kit on his person.
Short Bio: A decorated Space Corps pilot and sole survivor of a suicide mission to break through a Bydo blockade, Ray was transported to another dimension along with the supply convoy he had been transporting, following a messy encounter with an experimental wormhole generator. Due to his Bydo infection allowing him to tolerate the environment of the alien world the convoy had landed on, he ended up as the sole survivor. Taking the Hyllos-2 and the transport's supply of Forces with him so as to avoid them falling into enemy hands, he scuttled what was left and set out for the nearest inhabited system in hopes that he would find some form of human civilization.
What he found instead was an outpost for the Lost Worlds Alliance. Confused, but already used to fighting a hopeless battle against a threat he could barely begin to understand, Ray went along with it and soon found himself conscripted into the LWA's military.
Name: Unstoppable Kon Appearance: Faction: Lost World Alliance Abilities: Gaebolg Punch: Summons the very large and rather long arm of the Gaebolg through a dimensional portal to punch things. Military Training: Pretty self-explanatory Mechanical skills: he's good at making robots as well as creating and maintaining machinery Throwing weapon expert: His only real backup attack is to toss rocks and other objects with great skill Implacable: The man is impossible to knockdown and will keep on his feet Equipment: Clothes Signal tracking device
Personality: He's pretty ballsy considering he only uses one skill in combat, but then again he has great faith in the Gaebolg and its power. Short Bio: During the days when Bakal ruled Empyrean, a group of Mechanics formed a secret squad dedicated to the downfall of the evil apostle. They were known collectively as the Seven Great Machinists of Empyrean, and collaborated on the creation of a machine capable of defeating Bakal. This secret project was code-named Gaebolg.
Just as Gaebolg was to be activated, the Machinist Teneve betrayed his fellow Mechanics by sabotaging the project and allowing Bakal’s army to strike. Those who weren’t massacred took flight, most never to be seen again. Curio, a genius technician who survived the initial attack, used a dimensional shifting device to send the Gaebolg machine to another dimension, hoping to keep it away from Bakal and other ill-intentioned beings. Bakal eventually hunted down and killed Curio, but not before the wily machinist was able to stash the blueprints for the dimensional shifter in a hiding place.
Kon like many other Machinists of Empyrean has gotten a device that allows for a transdimenionsal portal that lets him do the Gaebolg punch. Furthermore it is his hope that with this device will lead him to either getting the blueprints either by something hidden in it or just repurposing the device to properly pull out the robot. During a quest involving searching for clues on how to bring back Gaebolg an accident that sent him through a dimensional portal which put him in the omniverse. Ever since then he's been trying to get back and bring back the Gaebolg. Universe of Origin: DFO
@Zobozun I like it, but a couple of things before I accept.
I'd like a more thorough explanation of the Bit Conductor. What are bits? And what do they do?
Also, I'm not allowing the Forces to be indestructible. It makes sense that they're capable of breaking down all matter they come into contact with, but a sufficiently powerful blast of energy should be able to damage/destroy them. Otherwise what's to stop you from deploying a single Force and never even getting into the mech?
Lastly, what's an AU? It's not really important, just wondering what it is.
@Jerkchicken I'd like some more explanation fo the Gaebolg before I accept you. I don't need a complete stat sheet, but about how powerful is the Gaebolg Punch?
