Elle leaned over slightly, pulling at the bow around her neck slightly to straighten it and adjusting her hair slightly. She put in a pair of headphones and straightened up her blouse, the private collage required uniforms to be worn and whilst she often heard some complaining about it, she was used to it, all her schools growing up had required uniforms. Elle picked up a book that had been sitting on the vanity and made her way to the door, grabbing her bag on the way out and locking the door behind her.

Her nose in the book and music blasting in her ears Elle softly hummed ‘walking on Sunshine’ as she walked down the hall. She couldn’t remember how many times her friends had told her not to do that. Luckily people were polite enough to move out of the way for her; at least she assumed so since she never seemed to run into anyone. But that was to be expected when you went to a school that cost more to attend than a lot of people made in a year.

The halls of the university were all clean and fancy, the floor clean and soft, the red carpet just visible out of the corner of her eyes from the book. Of course living on the campus of the collage had been a choice, since the house her parents owned was a little over an hour away. It wasn’t worth the drive every day for classes so she’d elected to live on campus instead. And it wasn’t like the rooms were anything to laugh at, fully furnished with a bathroom and small kitchen.

In retrospect it was not her brightest idea, walking through the halls and not looking where she was going; climbing stairs was probably an even worse one. There were already a good amount of students milling about in the halls, even tis early in the morning Had her headphones not been in she may have heard the commotion coming from up the flight of stairs, or perhaps seen it if she hadn't been reading the book.

Roy was in a foul mood right now. He needed to get all of his work done today. He looked like he had lost a fight knife drawer. His last night running around as everyone's least favorite vigilante anti hero. He had nearly been killed by a few muggers since he was off his game. Roy pulled on his favorite red flannel shirt and blue jeans. He figured that he needed to be comfortable today. He felt like he needed to keep himself on his toes today, Everything felt wrong right now. Like the whole world was going up against him. He felt like the whole city wanted his head on the proverbial pike.

Roy never really felt like he fit in at this university. These people were all above him in nearly every way. He never talked to them and they returned the favor. He looked around the halls as he hummed to himself. He had gotten into this place on a football scholarship. He was decent at it but he had been having trouble juggling his sport, his school, and his nightly activities.

Roy was in his own little world as he heard something going on in the stairwell. He turned to look at it and before he knew it, he had collided with someone one. Roy stumbled a bit as he hit into the girl. Roy looked at her and seemed startled. "Oh God. I am so sorry. I was in my own little world. " He added seeming to be freaked out about hitting into her. "Name's Roy. Or that Klutz." He added quickly.

‘I’m walking on sunshine whoa-’ “Oh!” The last part came out as more of a surprised squeak as someone collided into her back and she stumbled forward, well more of forward and up, right into the staircase. A sharp pain flared up through her shin and the girl slowly climbed back to her feet, scooping up her book and holding it close to her chest as she pulled her headphones out and caught the last part of someone speaking.

Or that Klutz.

Elle turned slightly to see some boy she’d never seen before standing before her. He seemed really freaked out. The girl glanced down at her shin, blood oozing down a sharp cut in the middle of her shin which must have been caused by the sharp edge of the stairs and staining her sock a deep red. Her mind quickly processed the situation, figuring it must have been him who had knocked her over, intentionally or not it didn’t really matter. Elle’s face softened eventually and she shrugged slightly.

“It’s alright.” The girl assured him in a gentle tone. “It was just an accident right? No harm done.” However she couldn’t help the small wince crossing her face as she began walking back down the hallway towards her dorm room, she’d have to clean and patch up her leg and change her socks, probably soak them to make sure they didn’t stain. Her skirt seemed to be untouched though, which was good, today was laundry and she was out of clean, ironed uniforms. “See ya around okay?” She gave him a small passing wave and another smile as she passed, suppressing the urge to apologise. Not that she had done anything wrong, it was just a habit.
