Probably. Let's see if @duck55223 (the big grey blob in the middle) can chime in, just to confirm. He's the one with the big plans for the region.

Either way, you're welcome to start on the country description. Whatever culture you want to be, we can make it fit somewhere appropriate on the map. What's your idea behind the Autumn Republic? The name is certainly interesting!

WHat's the status on airborne tech? Are we talking early zepplins and maybe some planes, or a little more than that?

Early zeppelins/airships. I'd say planes are in the works, but they shouldn't be a major factor in anything yet.

As I recall, planes are active, but basically worthless unless they're fighting other planes.

I did say Post WW1 at one point, so that's where were at tech-wise. Except things are more reliable and we have airships, steam everything, and mechs.

@duck55223I am somewhat considering to return to this game?
Are Martians still out? They would be fun here and I willing to make any compromises to make it work.

My other alternative is basically a claim on some parts or the entirety of India with focus on aircraft and such.

I say go for India. I'm not necessarily against aliens, but let's sit on that for a bit, and see if it fits in down the road.

Sure, but could you make it in the North-West of Russia? Don't want it to interfere with the current history of the other countries.

Krodnanian empire
Flag:

Taritory: light red

Government: Facist dictatorship.

History: originally a series of villages and mining outposts, the empire practically formed overnight after blue coal was discovered. Although at first the once peaceful villages began building up armys, and a fue skermishes broke out here and there, the majority of the village eventually decided to band together as one united empire when a man named Isof broght up the fact that they made an easy target for neighboring contrys in nead of resources. He was instantly placed incharge by the rest of the community under the thinking that it would be his flault if they were all killed. as soon as Isof organized there army and set up some basic infer structure, he began convincing the intire nation that the world was in chaos and that only a strong leader (I.E. Him) could bring order. This was a slow process, starting with only a few close friends and more gullible officials, but this way of thinking grew exponentially in popularity and eventually anyone who didn't take it to heart was often lynched as they were "part of the chaos". Isof, with the country now in his hands, was able to build factories and citys from meager shantytowns, and was quickly growing mad with power. He demanded a wall to be built around there borders, and that anyone who he deemed untrustworthy executed on the spot. Unfortunately for him, the wall he demanded built was taken far to personally by one of his prouder generals who claimed he didn't nead a wall to protect their nation, and had Isof exicuted. And so it went for years. A new leader would appoint themselves of the basses that ther grandfather was king of such-and-such, would run the country for a fur years, and be killed by a jealous rival or revolutionary movement. Gradually the idea of a world in chaos faded away, until a young Skoin Krout discovered a book about the chaos of the world and how it was up to the Krodnads to bring order to the world. Mistakeing it for a scripture, he went to the streets, and convinced the empire that they must save the world just like Isof had years ago. Unlike Isof, Skoin had a son of whom was actually quite brilliant. This son, Rek Krout, lead the country through his father, and eventually gained power after having anyone powerful enough to stop him, including his father, assassinated and replaced by those of unflinching support of him. Now, he looks to the world with a nation full of fanatics and those who fear to go against him, looking for a way to increasing his ever growing power.

Economy: official the government makes its income by selling natural gas and blue coal it mines from the tundra and buys large amounts of food and cloth. Unofficial they make a killing off of an underground alcohol market.

Military: Allong the south eastern border, a gigantic wall runs from the coast to the ice sheats. Barbed wire, tank traps, hidden pitfalls and mines saround this wall , and snipers constantly patrol for anyone looking to get in or out. Behind the wall, the army lies waiting for atack. Although relatively small in numbers, the army is incredible advanced and well funded, and mostly comprised of huge steam driven land battleships and other tanks, all of which are built to be nearly bullet proof.
Of course this comes at a price, as the force is extremely slow, and is easily targeted by mortar fire. the navy on the other hand is small, outdated, and weak. Not having any major enemy across the ocean, there navy was never a priority and consists of about 20-30 patrol boats of various origins. Most of the boats are just captured smugglers with a deck gun bolted on and a fresh coat of Arctic camouflage if the new captain feals like it. Only about 5 of the ship's crews have seen actual combat.

Tech: although relitively average overall, there military tech is incredible advanced and well funded. There tanks are getting bigger and bigger as quickly as ore can be dug up to build them, and recently the scientists have been experimenting with the military capabilities of aircraft

Well, Martians caused a bit of a fight back during the beginning which is why I asked if they are fine now.
Basically if I were to do Martians they'd occupy Congo or other African territories. They'd be few in numbers and would rely on human slaves instead. Story-wise imagine them if the invasion from War of the Worlds happen earlier but they botch up their math and they land stright within Africa. Most of their tech are either gone or cannibalized for more important equipment. Instead they rely on the same equipment everyone else has to build stuff. There are two differences.
1.) They can use the energy from blue coal to shoot heat rays. They aren't as great against armor and limited by line of sight but Martians are kinda adamant on these.
2.) They use "implants" that can be activated by the weak telepathy Martians have. It's either used to punish slaves by the device sending painful jolts when activated or there's a rarer type Martians use to allow a human to interpret their language and talk in their stead.

Otherwise things are mostly the same. You cqn just think of them as a weird nation not many people know about.

As for India I plan to make them much more advanced they used to be with chief developments in metallurgy (wootz steel and such never forgotten) and pioneer at the development of aircraft (by using duraluminum alloys). I am not that far ahead in their concept to tell you exactly how I plan to make them, though. Duck said post-WW1. Does it mean I can even build jet engines? Certainly they are much easuer than many other developments here (for example with blue coal the turboshaft engines makes the most sense rather than piston-driven propellers).

MS Paint...

Or tell me where you want to be, and I'll add you to the map.

This really conflicts with the entire setting. I'm gonna say "no". This is Alt-History, not Sci-Fi.

I think jet engines would directly conflict with the tech levels of everyone else. Steam power, man! Steam power! Think late-Victorian, with some out-of-place tech directly resulting from coal-burning.
