Medusa Bloodrose appeared to glide across the ebony and crimson marble floor, golden candlesticks illuminating her path to the balcony overlooking her garden of blood roses. Her silver hair reflected the light of the full moon giving it a glossy look like polished table utensils. She was expecting company and so her evil minions had set to work preparing two rooms fit for the two of them. As the Queen of witches she was feared but that hadn't stopped the hunters from trying to destroy her. She took a golden vial and uncorked the ruby and sapphire encrusted stopper. She sniffed the contents before her luscious lips curled into a devilish sneer, pouring the liquid into a freshly dug hols below the balcony. A blood red rose bush grew in it's place, Medusa letting out a chuckle as she knew well that this was no ordinary Rose bush. This was the key to her power, the roses were what bound her to evil.
Without them she'd be a weak good witch that wouldn't last a day in the outside world, and she would rather die with her roses than go back to being a weakling. This wasn't an ordinary garden, no, this Rose garden was created from the blood of all the Hunters who had tried to destroy her. Each Rose bush held their damned souls and each source of blood was collected as they took their last breath. Each death was more exhilarating than the next and Medusa knew exactly which Rose bush was the first one she had ever created. It was the most vibrant crimson anyone had ever seen, to the point where it would seen to glow. The soul inside was filled with hatred for her, it despised her, and yet it was also sad because it had been deceived by her. This soul belonged to her fiancé, who had fallen in love with another woman yet still desperately loved Medusa.
As hatred welled up inside her she heard the voices of the ancient ones, the elder witches who were the most evil and despicable in existence that had crossed over willing after having fulfilling and devious life styles that would make the do gooders she used to know cringe before having a heart attack. They explained how she could enact her revenge and become as strong as they had been and told her to kill her fiancé and bring his blood to the tallest mountain, Mount Rose, and pour his blood in a hole. The rest would come easily afterwards. She was awoken by the voices one night and in turn she found her fiancé trying to leave.
That night she tied him to the bed and cut into his throat, wrapping her hands around it to add insult to injury. She watched the life drain from his eyes and grabbed the golden vial the witches had given her. That night she went up to the mountain and dug a large hole, pouring the blood into it. A blood red rose bush grew that was like no other and with it a giant ebony and crimson castle grew up out of the ground with gold accents, the voices of the elder witches telling her exactly what she wanted to hear.
"Welcome home, sister of darkness. We bestow upon you our castle and our abilities in hopes that you will reap vengeance on the hunters that kill our kind." The voices were completely silent after that but on that night the screams of a young woman could be heard ringing from the mountain top. Medusa's eyes bled before a dark thick mist flew into her open mouth. For a moment her veins could be seen, all of them, each and every one as black as the starless night above. Her blonde hair turned silver and her eyes did the same but within them were flakes of gold, crimson, and black. She was given a mask to conceal her identity and to wear for the sake of all others. Her eyes were the key to seduction and no man or woman could resist. After that hunters came after her to try and stop what the elders had started but it was too late; each one was turned into a play thing for Medusa before she discarded them.
Each made a lovely addition to her garden and each one gave her more and more power till all other witches called her Queen Bloodrose. She decided though to start a sisterhood just like the elders had, and her ears made out the sound of two people teleporting into her garden. She made her way downstairs and out the French doors, seeing two beautiful young women walking towards her. One had long flowing golden blonde hair and sky blue eyes with horns protruding from her head while the other had waist length silver hair with bright golden orange eyes.
"Welcome to my humble abode my fellow witches and future sisters!" Medusa said, her arms out spread as a grand gesture of showing off her glorious dark palace. Both women smiled, Medusa taking the silver haired woman's hands and closing her eyes. "Born with the powers or cursed?" Medusa questioned, Electra Discord smiling as she knew very well this was a test of loyalty. "Cursed, Queen Bloodrose. Let's just say dad killed my mother so I got revenge. Devil granted me powers for a job well done since my mother was a follower. She wasn't a witch but she sure as hell could've been one in another life." Electra watched Medusa nod before taking the blondes hands whose name was Clarissa Clearwater. "Born with the powers or cursed?" Medusa asked again, becoming amused as she heard a giggle come from Clarissa's mouth.
"Born with my powers Queen Bloodrose. My mother was a witch and my father a demon. That's why I have horns on my head, and let's just say many people have tried to mount my head on a wall like a deer but I turned it all on them if you get what I mean!" Clarissa said with a wink before giggling, Medusa letting out a bemused sigh. "Please, both of you, call me Sister Medusa.... After all we are now sisters of the Bloodrose Coven. My home is now your home but in return I need your help. I want others to join our Coven but I need help looking, from both of you. Can I count on you both to help me with this task?" Medusa asked, the two looking at one another before turning their attention back to Medusa and nodding in unison. "Of course Sister Medusa, it would be our pleasure." they said at the same time, Medusa looking up at the sky and smiling behind her mask.
"Then let us feast tonight before we start our search in the morning! Let there be a new era ushered in by our Coven and let those Hunters die by our hands! Let us not fear them but have them rather fear us! My sisters, tonight we start our descent into darkness and evil alike, and may the devil himself guide us to victory in his name!" She exclaimed, Clarissa and Electra happily proclaiming their happiness by howling in the moonlight before the three started laughing as they strode with their arms linked into the dark castle that was now their home.
