An eerie silence hung around the ruins of an underground civilization. A civilization that once lived many centuries ago. A civilization that now lay in ruins, the buildings eroded from the damp air and constant water flow that had built up during the long years of abandonment. Moss and fungus grew upon the stone and the ancient bodies of metal that had lay there for so long.
Clank... Clank.. The sound of something metallic rang out, echoing around the deep cave, breaking the silence. A human figure rose from the ground, covered in moss and fungus that grew during it's slumber. It became clear that the figure possessed four arms. It wasn't human at all. The clawed hands plucked the growths from it's body, flinging them onto the cold, dark floor. It looked around at the ruins. It was dark, but light seemed to trickle through the cave's entrance, causing a faint glow on the broken city. "Such filth." It, which could be established as a 'he' due to his voice, sighed as it continued to walk around the ruins.
He took note of his surroundings. It was the remains of a failed civilization. Someone had failed to keep it alive. But here he was. Alive. He was the only one who had succeeded at living through the failure. Thus it is only logical to assume that he had such an authority over how things should live. He was living, they were dead. It was all so simple to understand. But how did they fail? And how could he learn from their failure? This would come to him with time and information gathering. But what he did know, was that people must be ruled over to prevent failure.
For now, he needed an assistant. One cannot do grand schemes alone.
As he strolled, he foot kicked something on the path. A loud Clang! rang out as it collided with what appeared to be another metallic being. It seemed quite tall, resembling a female. What was a female? Who knows. It's arms gleaming dimly, revealing blades that replaced what could've been hands. "You will do." He said blankly as he crouched down. He placed a finger on the metal body's chest area, a spark rushed from his finger, zapping it like static. Somehow he knew of this. How to activate another being like himself. The magic spark was immediately absorbed into the chest of the metal body. He could feel it's soul core reactivating. He stood back, watching the body, waiting for movement.
