Medbay would be more to the middle front. Far enough away so that someone would have had to get a little lost to wind up there. Could be a comic relief bad guy alien who thinks he's found the bridge.

If I wanted to join now, what would be an appropriate way of doing it?
I was thinking of being a Teloran, but a criminal smuggler kinda guy so he's an outcast from the rest of Teloran culture. 'Cause I'd have a hard time thinking of an excuse to have him roaming the ship free the whole time and just kind of appear like "Ready to serve, cap'n!"

So I was just thinking of having him in a prison cell for my first post having been asleep for the beginning of the battle.

Our other prisoner character hasn't shown herself so he can be a prisoner. I find it funny to imagine a teloran smuggler, as they aren't the most agile of individuals, but I guess there could be slow smugglers too. Guess he wouldn't have to sneak into people's houses to get the items himself.

I don't think smugglers break into people's houses to steal family heirlooms. Just like "oh this stuff is banned? I know a contact that i can get in touch with to acquire the illegal items which I can then transfer over a certain distance to another contact who wants to receive the illegal items."

And since Telorans have a long life cycle, he'd have been doing it for a long time.

Would be funny for a teloran cat burglar though. Especially if he wore spandex over his rocky body.

So he tried to smuggle things at the hanger of Elistore but the captain noticed something suspicious as he was going to the exy and took him into his own custody but didn't let port authorities know?

I don't know. If the ship has prisoners I can only assume they are part of the normal cargo.

Name: Yorkow "Frank" Tingada

Age: 321

Gender: M

Race: Teloran

Homeworld: The Teloran homeworld
Position: Prisoner

Personality: Teloran culture revolves around being resolute in your decisions, respectful, and willing to let things slide. As such, Frank being a disrespectful wise-cracker with a love for revenge didn't do him any favors on his homeworld. Frank has a high opinion of himself to say the least, relishing in any opportunity he can get to outsmart his opponents. He's usually laid back, relaxed, but not in a way that makes others around him laid back and relaxed. When things really stop going his way and he can't fix it, he'll get angry and violent. Fortunately for him, however, he can usually swing the situations back into his favor before long. He changes his voice every once in a while, working on his impressions, and most recently he's been doing an ancient Bostonian accent.

Appearance: A being made of a rock-like substance, Franks body is thick and stout. Like his peers his irises are pure yellow, with no visible pupils. His body is balanced when it comes to the distribution of his weight, but his fore-head is large and out-set and his jaw has a major under-bite, but due to his mouth's nature of no lips or tongue it only serves to give his voice a slight echo. His forehead makes him a terrific head-butter, though.

His clothing is unorthodox. He wears an unbuttoned Hawaiian-flower shirt, where purple cartoon flowers dance on a faded teal back ground. Khakis shorts and sandals on his legs and he looks like a tourist. He figures it throws people off, and it's kind of funny. They wouldn't let him have any armor on, of course, but it doesn't matter too much because he's made of stone.

Abilities:
Frank is a smooth talker. If he had one, you could say he had a silver-tongue.
As an experienced smuggler, he's an excellent navigator and skilled pilot.
Due to his criminal background, he's got to be good with a gun, and good in a fist-fight. He is.
He's resistant to damage because of his rocky skin. So if he DOES get in a fist-fight...he'll probably win.
He has a lot of weight behind him because he's made of stone. This can help him in a lot of situations.
Over his long-life span, he's sharpened his reflexes and has a lot of experience. He has a good eye for things that he can use.

Equipment:
Somewhere stored on the ship is his favorite gun, a powerful hand-cannon custom made for his giant fingers.
He also has a few surprises in store, that I think would be better for the IC if I don't reveal them until he needs them. If I must, I will, no problem.

Biography: He was an outcast on his homeworld, none of the other Telorans shared his lust for wealth and adventure or his mean-spirit. If they did, he didn't know them, because he got "offa that stinkin' rock" as fast as he could. He quickly found a place in the criminal black-market, and over a century and half learned all the shortcuts and tricks that all the maps in the galaxy couldn't teach you. He made a name for himself and had his own smuggling ring. But, over such a long life-time, mistakes are bound to happen. During a botched contraband run, a gunfight erupted and the authorities arrived. They wanted to catch the Teloran, and they did. He ended up in a jail-cell in the Exeralune, in transport to a major prison planet to serve his sentence. But the smuggler intends on escaping his prison, and it looks like this attack was a miracle he knew he didn't deserve but was going to take advantage of, anyway.

Being a smuggler has more to do with being smart, not fast, no? Not needing to be fast because you're smart.

yeah
Frank is made of rock so he's not fast but he's good at conning people.

In real life I am not good at conning people so I'm gonna have to ask you in the OOC if you are okay with your character being tricked by my character if the situation arises

Accepted.

You'd have to come up with realistic ways to con some of my characters. Mana and the captain are very intelligent, the captain especially being a people person who has a knack for picking the best people for the jobs, and obviously picking out the bad eggs. There will be plenty of less intelligent redshirts that he can con to get himself out of there.

I have it in my head that only one woman has managed to con the captain so far. Of course in our canon-1 adventures here you guys can have more liberties against him.

Yeah. If we want to have a proper battle of wits with our characters we're gonna have to organize in the OOC because I can't trick any of you guys in OOC.

Like I'd be like "Okay Frank wants this to happen, are you guys okay with this happening, and if you are, what would Frank have to say to get it too happen."

This looks like a cool look for clones:

They're created by a small population, really advanced race that may look sort of like reapers from mass effect but with a lot of differences too. They believe they're above fighting or doing menial work themselves so developed a clone army that they're trying to form into a perfect soldier. They took genetic material from multiple races and created this clone being "from scratch" with the base of it being a near human who found their way into their territory and impressed them by being exceptionally skilled. Funnily enough, that person could be male and they just didn't feel the need to use the y chromosome while creating the dna. They can survive with limited food and don't age so can be sent for long missions through space and survive multiple bad climates of planets. I'm thinking they might get some minor morphing power as well.

Horatio thinks everything should be more... Horatio.

Later: Oh, also. Ion disruptors would probably do systems damage, too? but we're a competent military deployment, so I figure we'd have our Bokites equipped with ion deflectors for this situation. IF the bokites would even have the space for it. You could just power down your shields to give up Za Powah for the other.

Bokites wouldn't come equipped with such things in standard issue. Their shields would be too weak to power down to supply energy for very much. The shields are mostly for small arms fire, radiation, small space debris, etc.

A competent military deployment is yes and no. The captain and many of its members have served in the military, but the captain is free to get his crew from anywhere he pleases (within reason) so some are technically civilians. For example, if the Hawaiian rock monster ends up teaming up with them. His ship is likely part of a specially listed group that doesn't follow all military regulations. If he promotes someone to XO on his ship then this doesn't mean they'd retain this rank and go to other military deployments, and vice versa. The military could respect his judgement and transfer the credentials to the normal military, but it's not required for them to do so. He could go to an admiral say ask permission to promote someone and if they agree then it would be valid and not just after the fact.
