I want a tv series about a guy who joins the military solely for a Denny's discount, and they think a desk job'll be easy af but then through a series of bizarre coincidences that they triggered, WWIII starts.

Don't know about the military discount, but there are seriously a lot of people who join up for the free college on the assumption they'll never end up in combat. I'd imagine that is more common now that a college education is more of a gamble than an investment if you have to pay.
