@DJAtomika Maybe like 'The Impaler'? ;p Vlad lives back in europe in one of the Von'Strauss castles, but makes frequent trips to the city. They would have heard that his firstborn (first murdered?) daughter is in town on 'vacation' though.

Rumors about her would indicate she's a murderous little shit that would do just about anything for a giggle. Also that she's a souless monster from a bygone era. A few rarer rumors would suggest that it might be wise to lock up your daughters as well.

@Wernher Gotcha. The SSPD is HEAVILY corrupt, and most officers are little better than mobsters, however you do get the odd proper policeman/woman. it sounds like Veronica would have channels with Concetto, because he's the most Mafioso of the mob bosses, but Nyx is currently the woman with the most power, so its entirely possible that they'd be in communication out of necessity.

@DJAtomika Zombie sounds like a good fit for the corpse boys.

Here are a few characters, the 'Chosen Few' Veronika surrounds herself with. A few cops that are considered above suspicion on her book (Weather they are or not is another thing) since lets be frank, Veronika herself is not the kind of character that would walk around the streets of that city. Of course, the fact that she pushed promotions toward them kind of make her reviled by the officers that care about these kinda things.

Sidney Meyers: Some might consider Sid as dumb muscle, the SWAT leader that commands the less... scrupulous elements of the police in combat, but she hardly is stupid, as after all she was intelligent enough to recognize that Veronika, with that silver spoon in her mouth, would go farther than her based on her connections alone. As such, Veronika was probably a good person to leech of. She's a ruthless careerist who's only in it for herself. Which is probably why Veronika keeps her away from the streets, the only thing preventing her from getting over ambitious and accepting bribe probably being that she doesn't know anyone in Somabra.

Tomas Crain: Veronika once jokingly said that the status of Loyal Henchman could be surpassed by that of 'Completely loyal henchman', but that such status could only be attained by dying for the cause. Well Tomas did, got mauled while working under cover and send back home in a barrel as a warning. Veronika thought it was the end of that but didn't account for Tomas' wife having knowledge of some necromancer gang and illegally bring him back to life. Now he works still for Veronika although he was always more mild in his tactics than the Superintendent drastic measures. But where loyalty fall short, the fact the Police should prosecute his wife for illegal use of necromancy keeps him in line.

Hi! I'm new around here, I'm not sure how collaborative posting works. I presume it's used when two character are having a conversation so that it doesn't need to be broken up into smaller posts? Anyway, thank you for having me, and go a little easy on me ok? =)

Edit: Also if anyone has any critiques of my posts feel free to drop them by my PM. I understand that the advanced end of the pool has a higher bar, so any advice that might help me reach it is welcome.

I really enjoyed your post. It had a very Vampire the Masquerade feel to it, which is my favorite thing involving vampires, ever. My inbox is always open if you want to work out something more conrete between Nyxie and Vlad.

I was thinking that Gabe, having spent all the years he did on the force, crossed paths with Andy and Ben a couple of times, enough to recognise each other if they crossed paths again. As for what kind of job, I was thinking we could come up with something together on that one. Maybe they need a PI? Heh.

Little idea here. Veronika knows that going after Nix herself is pointless, she'd never be dumb enough to be caught in a situation where the long arm of the law could actually get a hold of her. No, but it is public knowledge that Narcissa 'The Hound' has a lot of blood on her hands.

Problem is the entire police force is corrupt so bringing in men for an investigation would be saying to the entire city, and Nar herself, what's going on. So Veronika needs some outsiders to help with that, dig up as much trash as possible and keep watch to get footage usable in court (upon arrest or to justify, aherm, Nar resisting arrest and dying).

Could open a lot of windows! Mercenaries could betray their employers (Who would probably not say its for the police mind you) could get caught by Nar or maybe upon discovering the police is involved, Nar could have an epiphany since maybe that public idea of Veronika being the good guy would have gotten to her which could only mean that its official: She's evil. Or they could work together to take on Nix! Or she could decide Veronika is next on the murder list!

Thoughts, ideas?

Basically, she wants to send 200 evil people to the afterlife to balance the 200 innocents who died in the blaze. I'm all for this idea. Whether Narcissa ultimately teams up with the superintendent to take down Nyxvira or goes after the SSPD leader herself...I'm not sure. She might do both. Considering there's a gang war between the Nyctari and the Bloodbloom Syndicate coming, I think this is going to be awesome. I fully support this.

EDIT: One thing to keep in mind is that few people know what Vigilance/Narcissa actually looks like beneath her mask. Only a few close friends and members of the Bloodbloom Syndicate would be able to recognize her in street clothes.

Was thinking of being able to take that one picture without a mask. No one has any idea but then comes an elf, veteran, who by pure luck is able to say 'Well, sure looks like Narcissa'. Though that might be cheesy so I leave that to you Lexicon.

@Wernher The Lost have worked for Nyx before. They know what she's like. Andy in particular doesn't like her.

@Wernher Yeah...that's a little too coincidental for me lol. You gotta work for it. A few posts dealing with the superintendent investigating Vigilance's background, contacting underworld informants, and kicking down some doors would give me time to put Narcissa in a good place as far as the upcoming gang war goes. Besides, it would also give some other player characters a chance to get involved.

@Meiyuki Perhaps Lorelai could work with the Lost. Possibly to destroy the Nyctari or Bloodbloom. Whichever she chooses.
