At the warm touch, Sylvia awoke with a soft sound escaping her throat. Her eyes blinked and see slowly rose to her elbows, her head tilting as she focused her gaze on Aleksandr.

"Yes?" She asked with a blink of her eyes, she felt energized once more, if not a bit dizzy from the medication still thrumming through her veins. A flash of lightning had her attention fora moment, she rose fully until she was seated with her back against the wall. She focused on the other male as her fingers began to absently trace patterns against her thigh. Her brows knitted slightly as a thought occurred to her, the clap of thunder bringing a smile to her lips. "Not to seem...forward but we do have a project that needs to be done. I might not be able to attend the presentation but I can help if you'd like to work on it for a bit?" She'd meant to as a statement but after getting a glimpse of the others face, her sentence had ended as a question. She was rested and calmer now, best do something that would keep her mind busy. @Briza

Aleksandr's eyes studied her, widening as she absently traced patterns against her thigh, "You looked like you were having a nightmare," he glanced at the door and then back at Sylvia. The rain was pouring harder, now, pattering loudly on the roof of the house, "I guess we could work on the project," he did not particularly want to work on the project. It just reminded him of University and how much he abhorred school, but Sylvia wanted to work on the project...

Absently thinking, Aleksandr took a seat on the carpeted floor, leaning against the wall--facing Sylvia on the bed. She looked rather lovely in his bed. A small unconscious smile brushed on his lips as he thought about her leaving her scent on his sheets. He pulled his knees close to his chest, "Have you thought of a historical figure, yet?" His eyes were admiring her from where he sat. Before his thoughts dug too deep into her, he adverted his attention back to the door, realizing he was smiling.

A small wave of embarrassment flushed over him. He hated not being in control of his emotions, and being with Sylvia was becoming impossible for him. @Arista

"There are too many to pick in reality. We could pick someone who did something good for the country or pick someone who did something horrible in an attempt to seek a 'perfect' society. Really we just need to chose, I can work on the information gathering while you...go relax or something in the other room. I can tell by observing you that I make you uncomfortable and if that's the case I can leave." Her gaze was focused on the window, her fingers having stilled against her thigh as she spoke. She meant it to, She wasn't oblivious to her surroundings or people for that matter, she just chose to stick to the shadows and watch.

She leaned forward and reached for her laptop case she must of left near Aleksandr's bed. Settling it in her lap and unzipping the zipper, she pulls out her laptop and proceeds to turn it on. Her fingers typing her password in when it asks it of her, her statement still hanging in the air between them.

Opening a document Sylvia allowed her fingers to skim the keys as she labels the blank sheet as "Historical Figure". She then proceeds to connection her laptop to the WiFi from her store it was the easiest and the one most people used. She pulled up Firefox and typed Google into the search box, she settled her head against the wall and waited. @Briza

Aleksandr pushed his legs out in front of him and planted his hands on the floor, lifting hits body into a standing position, "No, you're fine. I'll let you be," he grabbed the towel and left the room. He bit his lower lip harshly, as he exited. His father wasn't in the kitchen anymore. He wasn't sure if he was happy or disappointed. He decided to go with disappointed, since it was an easier feeling to conjure. He walked towards the kitchen, which was near the make shift laundry room. The laundry room door creaked open and Aleksandr tossed the towel into a laundry basket. He noted that there were several garments that still needed washing, but doing the laundry was just so mundane. It was worse than reading the Psalters while people went to Confession.

The door squeaked close, and he slowly made his way to the living room, sitting on the couch. He twisted his body and put his feet on the couch, so he could lay down. The couch was a bit small, but he had slept on the couch before--and Sylvia's ankle would be far from comfortable on it. He closed his eyes and listened to the pattering of the rain on the roof. The house was quiet and the smell of soup was going away, and the prominent smell of Rose Mary was coming back.

He stretched out his arms before pulling them closer to himself. University would start up tomorrow, again. He furrowed his eyebrows, not looking forward to it. However, he slowly relaxed on the couch and falling asleep off guard. @Arista

Sylvia sighed softly and began to type away. Her shoulders relaxing and eyes focusing on the screen before her, her teeth softly clampinf on her bottom lip. What she'd said might of been a bit rude, but at the time it made sense. Aleksandr was acting odd and in order to help him, she decided that space between them might allow the other to relax. Her left ankle began to sway as her fingers continued to skin across the keys, her head tilting as she shifted her gaze from the recluse male and toward their project.

"You should of picked to stay home Sylv...that was you wouldn't be a sore-spot or intruder..." She mumbled softly after a few moments, she blinked and noted that her fingers had gone against her wishes. She was now staring at a paragraph that resembled more of a story structure then a project structure. A soft snot escaped her lips as she debated on deleting it or not, are a shake of her head, she denied.

Better to allow her mind to wonder for a few hours in story-telling then Goggling random facts that would only piss her off. @Briza

"Mama, why do you taste so good? Mama, mama... why are you screaming? Please, stop..."

Aleksandr's eyes shot open. His stomach was in knots. His hands clenched his abdomen, "Fuck," he whispered. Sitting up and hunching over. His head was between his knees as he took in deep breaths. His eyes were shut closed. His hands slowly let go of his stomach and grasped his head, digging his fingers into his hair. He felt like vomiting, again, and his head was spinning.

Father Seraphim opened the bedroom door, after hearing stirring in the living area. His eyes scanned the room and then focused on Aleksandr. He quickly made his way to Aleksandr, "Aleksy, are you feeling alright?" He sat down on the couch next to Aleksandr. The movement of the couch made Aleksandr's stomach hurt worse.

Aleksandr peaked out from under his arms, "Please, stop..." he asked his dad desperately, gritting his teeth.

His father's eyes moved back and forth, assessing the situation, "Are you sick?" his voice was low and sympathetic.

Aleksandr nodded.

"You're not high are you?" Father Seraphim asked in a sterner voice this time.

Aleksandr said nothing for a bit as he glared at the floor, "No, Papa..." he muttered, feeling himself salivating, the kind that happens right before the upchucking.

Father Seraphim stroked his beard, "If you're not feeling well, I'll have to find someone else to chant, tonight," he put his hand on Alekandr's back, rubbing it lovingly. Aleksandr quickly got up from the couch when his father touched him. The warmth was nauseating.

He stumbled towards the bathroom with his hand over his mouth and slammed the door shut. Squatting before the toilet, he let out a whole bunch of dry heaves. Mostly saliva came out, dripping from his lips. He was expecting at least vile. But, God, she tasted so good.

Father Seraphim sat concernedly on the couch. He wasn't sure whether he should enter the bathroom or not. He closed his eyes and said a small prayer for his son, crossing himself afterwards.

Aleksandr pushed himself from the toilet and curled up on the bathroom floor, feeling the cold tile press through his shirt. It felt nice there. A small smile slithered on his lips, and a silent laugh escaped his mouth as his head cocked backwards slightly. He was fucking losing it. @Arista

Sylvia paused in her typing at the sound of a door slamming. Her eyes blink and after a moment, she tugs her headphones from the outer pocket of her laptop bag. She didn't want to come across as noisy, placing them in her ears she opens up her saved music and presses play.

She relaxes when comforting piano music begins to fill her ears, her fingers resuming their respective typing across the keyboard. Her head thunks softly against the wall after a moment and her eyes shift to the window as a small bemused smile filters across her lips. She shakes the thought of leaving from her mind and focuses on what she has before her, a long breath escaping her lips. @Briza

Father Seraphim sighed, listening intently for any sound from Aleksandr. His left hand unraveled the prayer rope around his right arm and began thumbing through the knots--a nervous habit he had picked up from seminary. Coincidentally, it was a habit smiled upon in seminary. Matushka Theodora had tied the knots herself for one of his birthdays. He could remember the callouses on her fingers--she used to tie the knots so quickly. He didn't mind that her hands weren't as soft looking; her love always radiated through her works... and her smile. He looked down a the prayer rope--it had been used over and over through the years, but he was determined to make it last. He didn't want to not use it because that would defeat its purpose. However, he did not want it falling apart, either. This week had already deemed to be a very stressful one. Perhaps, Alekandr was feeling sick because he was not eating anything.

Aleksandr stretched his body out the best her could on the tiled bathroom floor, closing his eyes and drawing in a deep breath through a sick smile covering his mouth. God, if only I could fucking actually kill myself. The coldness of the tile touched his bare forearms and tingled through his body. Where was God when he even needed him? He reopened his eyes to stare directly at the bathroom light, brightening the white room. There were cracks on the wall by the ceiling--which had been there since the beginning of his father and him moving into the house. He concentrated on them, staring at the void beyond the separation. He wanted to stay on the bathroom floor forever, letting the stinging of cold tile numb his pain.

Father Seraphim got up from the couch, tucking his prayer rope into his pocket. He went over to the bathroom and knocked on the door, "Aleksy..." he waited for a response, "Are you alright?"

Aleksandr turned to look at the crack under the door. His indisposed smile vanished as he was brought back to reality. He sat up, "I'm fine..." he flushed the toilet and stood up to wash his hands. The cold water poured over his hands, his smile flickered back on his face and faded when he looked at his reflection in the mirror. He turned the faucet off and dried his hands. He turned around and opened the bathroom door to see his father still standing immediately close to the door, concern in his eyes.

"Just a small bug?" His father asked.

"Yeah... I'll make it to Vespers, tonight..." he gave a half smile.

"Very good," his father nodded his head. He turned, "I have some reading I need to get done. I will be in my room if you change your mind," his shoulders relaxed as he walked back to the desk in his room, to read.

Aleksandr stood between the bathroom and his room for a moment, shaking the sickness off of him. He poked his head into his bedroom to see Sylvia listening to music. He took several steps forward into his room, "Hey," he said rather loudly--not quite sure if he had her attention, "We should work on the project..." @Arista

"I can hear you just fine. No need to shout." Were the words that left her lips as she finished typing the last sentence of her impromptu project turned story. She glanced up and noted distantly how pale the other looked compared to earlier, a sigh escaped her lips as she tugged her headphones put of her ears. "Right...sorry about that. Did you have someone in mind?" She asked politely, her hand scoring to fold above her stomach, a bemused smile pulling her lips up. She really should of elected to stay at her own home, she was asking for trouble and she hasn't seen that until she had been wheeled into this house.

If only I could fucking walk out...or better yet slip out the window... Her eyes closed from a moment before opening to focus on Aleksandr. She sat up straighter and after a moment, situated her laptop across her knees instead of her stomach where'd she'd had it. Her fingers touched the mouse pad and opened a blank new document, before stilling and waiting. @Briza

Aleksandr ran his hand through his hair nervously, "Not yet," his hand rubbed the back of his neck. The warmth of his hand wasn't very comforting, but the motion was.

Why is she smiling?

He made a nervous smile back at her, pulling the desk chair around and sitting in it, "I thought maybe you..." he took back his words, realizing he was being unfair by making her do all the work, "Never mind..." he shook his head, feeling a dumbness in him, "I'm bad at this; I apologize," he took several hard blinks, trying to focus. School was not his forte, and Sylvia seemed like a serious student and person in general. Although, she did seem to have fun with Jamie. His right hand twitched, thinking about it. @Arista

"No worries. I have some ideas that might work if you'd like to hear? James is fine with whichever we pick so long as he knows who. I have Adolf Hitler, Thomas Edison, Issac Newton and Thomas Jefferson from now" She listed them off with each of her fingers, her gaze settled on the white screen before her with single-minded concentration.

Her good leg shifted and bent as she rose further and began typing the title across the blank sheet. The rain was coming down by the bucket-fulls and Sylvia felt a small amount of calmness settle I'm her chest as she listened. She reached up and collected all her hair before absently beginning to braid it. Her good leg acting as a makeshift desk for her computer as she waited for Aleksandr to offer something against her listed names or to it. She wasn't in any mood to tiptoe around the topic they needed to complete. @Briza

At the sound of Thomas Edison, a name flashed into Aleksandr's mind before he could get frustrated with the way she said, 'James.' He wasn't particularly sure why he was so jealous of him, but he was. He didn't want to think about it much. So, he didn't.

"Why not Nikola Tesla?" He offered. Aleksandr was rather fond of Nikola Tesla. Not only was he Serbian, but his father had been a priest, too. Aleksandr resented having a father as a priest, but people like Nikola Tesla made the torture worthwhile--not that Nikola Tesla ever got credit for anything he did. He watched as she delicately braided her hair. He tried not to smile, not wanting to set her off, again. @Arista

"Ah, I've heard of him and had his name on the list but I must of accidentally erased it. We could do him, that's fine." She began to type across her keyboard and soon the page was labeled 'Nikola Tesla'. A soft huff escaped her lips as she tried to think of subject material they could use. "Would you happen to know any of his works? I remember reading a book that mentioned him quiet a bit I just can't think of a name..." Sylvia glanced down and typed the name into Google, her shoulders absently rolling as a faint tingle of discomfort worked its way up her spine.

Her eyes scanned the results and a half smile filtered across her lips before fading as she nods and glances up. This was starting to feel like pulling teeth from a bear cub, she just figure out why it felt so strained between them. @Briza

"Let's see," Aleksandr thought for a minute trying to think beyond Nikola Tesla's most famous invention, "He created the modern A/C electricity supply system, for starters," he paused again, raising his hand reluctantly in the air, "He created early x-ray imaging, and he built one of the first wireless controlled boats. He also made a superweapon that was supposed to put an end to all war, but he died before he ever put it on blueprint paper...The plans were actually all constructed in his mind," he smiled a bit while talking. It kind of excited him to think of Nikola Tesla.

He put his hand back in his lap, letting the smile disappear. It's not that exciting, he told himself. He leaned back in his chair to hear what Sylvia had to say. @Arista

Sylvia nodded and began typing away, taking notes as the other spoke. She noted the excited way Aleksandr spoke about Nikola Tesla, a faint smile spread across her lips before fading. She pulled up Google and scanned the links provided, a thought occurred to her and she voiced it after a moment of hesitation.

"It appears it wrote a book that we can use as source material but we need three more I believe and I'm not seeing much of anything else..." Her word trailed off as she focused on what was before her, her braided hair swaying as she tilts her head. @Briza

Aleksandr leaned in his chair to reach for a book on his desk, "I've got one," he pulled it from the stack of books off of his desk, letting the ones on top of it crumble to the floor. He paused, flapping the book into his hand and standing up to pick up the fallen books. The normal Aleksandr would have just let them stay there, but Sylvia was watching... He tossed the book to Sylvia. It landed on the bed before her. Inventions, Researches and Writings of Nikola Tesla. As he picked up the books, he stared at each title before stacking them back up.

"That's two, maybe your bookstore has something on the subject," he mentioned as he sat back down in the plastic chair. @Arista

"Well a book is fine but we still need sources that aren't from the Internet...hm..." She thought softly as she picked the book up, her head titling as she scanned the title. Her fingers absently ran across the spine before absently opening it and tracing the worn pages. She mentally went trough the books she had within her store, a frown tugging her lips down as she thought. "I might have some booka on him but they need to be solely about him, not just a mention here and there." She muttered absently as her gaze focusedon the window, her good leg beginning to away from side to side.

Head tilting back to glance up at the ceiling, Sylvia hummed softly as her fingers began to trace the pages once more. The fingers of her right hand absently typing down on the keys with no real direction. @Briza

Aleksandr followed her gaze to the ceiling and then looked at Sylvia, "I'm sure there are other books, but if you want to pick a different subject, go ahead," she wasn't acting like she was keen on the subject, which was fine--he convinced himself quickly. He fiddled with his fingers a bit, shifting his position in the plastic chair.

Covering Nikole Tesla was a bad idea, obviously. He was dumb for bringing it up. The immense feeling of being dumb kept reminding him of things he really didn't want to think about. He didn't want to show it. It was whatever Sylvia wanted. Sylvia knew more about how to make good grades than he did. He barely got through high school, after all. Why did he even make a suggestion in the first place? Who was he trying to impress? @Arista

"I didn't say I wanted to pick amother subject, relax and stop second-guessing yourself." Her words were softly spoken but true, her mind was going through the books she had and the ones she'd have for deliveries. A small smirk danced across her lips as she turned her gaze to Aleksandr, her head tilting to the side. "Your father said my cell and keys were in a paper bag in the trunk right? Would you mind bringing both objects to me? I think I found our solution." Her fingers flew across the keys of her laptop as warmth filled her chest, she'd just remembered her store was waiting on a shipment of historical books..

She jotted down noted as she mentally skimmed the titles and names of the books she'd asked for, her shoulders relaxing. They had a shot, Nikola Tesla didn't have many works to his name but was mentioned by other important people. His idea hadn't been dumb or a shot in the dark, they had a chance. @Briza

Aleksandr bit his lower lip gently as Sylvia spoke, not particularly interested in getting rained on, again--or rather, bothering his father for the car keys. He gave her a half smile and stood up, "Yeah, I'll go get your bag," he pushed the plastic chair in a failed attempt to tuck it under his desk. He left the room and walked towards his father's room. The door had been kindly shut. Aleksandr contemplated knocking or not. He frowned and turned the doorknob.

Father Seraphim was at his desk with several books open and scribbling away on a piece of paper. He paused and looked up as Aleksandr entered his room, "Aleksy! What have I done to have you grace me with your presence?" He smiled, putting his pen down on the paper in front of him.

"I left Sylvia's cell phone and keys in the car. I was wondering if I could have the car keys, again?"

Father Seraphim took a moment, letting the question register in his brain--not quite expecting that. He was expecting Aleksandr to explain to him that he was sick and could not make it to Vespers tonight. In which a case, he would have had Aleksandr call Deacon Constantine; however, that was not the case, "Ah," he stood up, fishing through his black pockets and pulling the keys out, "Here you are," he walked over to Aleksandr and put the keys in his hands, "How are Sylvia and you doing?"

"We're working on a school project, actually..." He grabbed the keys and turned to leave the room.

"Well, no closed doors," Father Seraphim said sternly.

Aleksandr turned back around, "Her ankle--it's broken," he gave his father a very confused face before exiting the bedroom.

Father Seraphim lifted his eyebrows, shaking his head and frowning. All Aleksy thinks about is sex. There were certainly other things the two could do behind closed doors.

Aleksandr opened the front door and let the rain fall over him, again. It was raining harder than before. He was pretty sure he would have to change clothes after this one... He pushed the key into the car door and twisted it. The car unlocked, and he reached into the seat, grabbing the brown paper bag. He hurriedly closed the door and pushed the key back into the lock. When he drew the key out of the lock he ran towards the front door, opening and shutting it as quick as he could. He shook his head, feeling the rain water sprinkle from his hair. He smiled when it happened. He looked down at his clothes. They were not that wet. He'd live.

He put the keys on the kitchen counter and walked to his bedroom, "Here," he walked over to Sylvia and put the bag next to Sylvia, and then took his place in the plastic chair, again. @Arista
