Did any of y'all happen to hear that when questioned about it Jeremy Renner says if given the opportunity he'd do a Hawkeye Netflix series? As he agrees that it's a good way to explore the character.

I always felt that TV shows work better for development than movies, in an ideal world the MCU would be TV series based around the characters that lead upto an Avengers Movie. Though while we're on the topic...

Without going into spoilers is anyone else unhappy with how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is being done?

Hawkeye is criminally under-used in the MCU, which is a shame given that Renner is probably the best actor amongst all of the Avengers, but I can't see him being given his own Netflix series.

And on Agents of SHIELD, though I watch it I can't profess to be a big fan of it. I always thought building a television show around Phil Coulsen was a pretty bad idea. Clark Gregg is a good character actor but I don't think he's a strong (or convincing) enough presence to carry a show on his own. I understand why they green-lit the series, I watch it because... it helps to pass the time when I have nothing better to do, but I wouldn't be deathly disappointed if it were cancelled. It doesn't really add much to the MCU or say anything particularly worthwhile.

Yeah i honestly don't see it happening! I thought it would have been cool for him to have done a series that was similar to his most recent runs in the comics where he'd be in Brooklyn, with Kate Bishop being introduced to work alongside him. Though given that they went with the ultimate version of the character in that he has a family, that idea wouldn't really work! :( I can still dream!

Going to copy @Sep here and ask a general question to everyone. If it was up to you, what character/team, Marvel or DC, would you like to see have a Netflix series?

@Natty You double posting scumbag!

Also after going downstairs to grab something to eat I decided that Cloak and Dagger would be hella interesting. They're small enough players that they can have a show (I feel like A-Listers would be a bit out of place with the fact most A-Listers have movies) but they're different enough from DD/Jessica Jones/Luke Cage and Iron Fist to be interesting.

Cloak and Dagger would be very nice.

I think the Runaways could work very well too. They're almost entirely self-contained and are very different in tone to "the Defenders" grit and grime series we've seen up to this point.

Call me biased, but a Green Arrow Netflix series would do very nicely. Arrow's cool and all (I stand by my belief that season two was among the best in superhero television), but it is not a Green Arrow show – at least not in the traditional sense. If we could get a GA series in similar format to Daredevil (but with an appropriately lighter tone), I would be a very happy guy.

Also, and this is a very, very, extremely long shot, but a Green Arrow/Green Lantern buddy cop style show, in lieu of Matt Fraction's Hawkeye and Hard Travelling Heroes, would be fantastic. I mean, just picture Hal and Ollie either holed up in an apartment together, or traveling around America, all while getting up to superhero shenanigans. It would be glorious. I need it in my life.
Please.

The sooner I get a Judge Dredd cop show the better. Get Karl Urban back to play the lead and I'll be even happier.

Yeah, the sad thing about Arrow being so dark is that Ollie as the light-hearted, swashbuckling, bleeding-heart progressive is so entertaining and novel. Making him a faux-Batman does his character such a disservice. It would be great to see the character done more faithfully but I can't see that happening anytime soon.

One character I would like to see on the silver screen is Captain Marvel/Shazam. Heck, I'd even take an animated series at this point.

@Morden Man See obviously when I started watching Arrow I had no idea who he was. Though now I do I don't see why they didn't just do a Bat-Man series...

I mean it woulda been hella popular.

@GreenGrenade isn't there rumour of a Green Lantern to join the Flarrowverse? Unlike Super-girl who is her own thing.

Also what do you think about this Flash/Super-Girl universe crossover race? They seem to be entertaining the idea that they may have the same speed...

I haven't watched Supergirl at all. It looked pretty awful. Was I wrong? I've seen people saying it gets better as it goes along.

@SepI'll reply back to you as soon as I get down my list. You're #3. Sadly, I want to reply now, I have my entire post planned out. But I have self imposed rules. No jumping list order. XD

And on the same note, if anyone goes against the Purifiers, give Ivy a call. She'll help you mass murder them.

I have the first ep free on my PS4... I haven't gotten around to it. :o

Have to agree with Morden and say Runaways! They're honestly what got me into Marvel comics in the first place! The series could work quite well, as it would show somewhere in the MCU that wasn't New York. Sure there's the small issue of Molly being a mutant but that can be retconned with ease, much like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. And I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a bunch of teenagers running around with a dinosaur?

If not that, then Young Avengers would work nicely. Either with the original team, or the most recent. America Chavez needs to enter the MCU at one point!

As for DC, Buddy-cop Blue Beetle and Booster Gold would be fab!

Either than Nightwing, or if they wanted to go with something more dark, Midnighter.

Supergirl is... decent. I've been catching up in preparation for the Flash crossover episode. The pilot has more than a few "nails on chalkboard" moments, but those start to diminish as the series goes on. Melissa Benoist is quite good when she gets to cut loose. There's a few scenes when she goes all angry, red-eyed Kryptonian, and those are actually the strongest in the series so far.

Agents of SHIELD is a tricky one. Like Sep, I'm not thrilled that it's become Inhumans: The Show rather than the superhero/spy action we thought we were getting. And it's annoying that the "It's all connected" pipeline only goes one-way, save for a few token background references in other Marvel properties. But, all that being said, they completely got me with the characters. I wouldn't have continued watching to this point if I didn't love most of the ensemble.

On that note, if they want to do a Hawkguy-esque series, just give it to Lance Hunter. He's AoS' Clint surrogate, anyway.
