The Hero, the gallant warrior chosen only by the divines themselves to protect the land of Eigas from the warlord. He who was gifted with only the mightiest armor, weaponry, and training from birth. He who could slay a thousand monsters with a single swing of his sword.

Hailed as the hero of our land and the one who will stand valiant in the face of danger.

When the eight warlords from beyond the sea greeted out fair country, The Hero greeted them kindly, wishing them the best during their time in the new land. It wasn't until after that they revealed their true intentions, their eight armies flooding the coast and attacking what was once a peaceful land.

The Hero fought the armies with all of his might.

He didn't win though.

The first warlord killed him.

The first boss, like come on, man. he wasn't even that strong.

With The Hero dead, the majority of the people of Eigas feared for their lives and safety. However, there were few that took this as a challenge, those who knew an old saying about working.

If you wanted something done right. You do it yourself.

So, this idea was sprouted from This video, first of all. And this idea is in the earliest possible phases. So who wants to build an RP with me?

Theres a little more information on the first post. Not too much, but a little more than before.

So, I was thinking for this to be a more fantastic version of Borderlands, murder, humor, and just lots of unnecessary everything.

Yes, another person. The idea is still pretty early on, and fun ideas to suggest in the world building stage?

Hey random idea. How about some players play as one of the warlords warriors, or even a warlord themselves, while others as the invaded people? You know make it a bit of a pvp ordeal. If not I'm totally okay with that.

Also for a bit of humor, what if all of the warlords claim that their the one that killed the hero, but no one has any proof so it's all a big argument/gloat fest.

All the warlords know is that the first boss killed the Hero, and not even the one that actually killed him is sure that he killed them.

Which would make all of the warlords to argue that they killed the hero, which would add a bit of humor as Cuddle Pot said.

Tossing a few unrelated ideas here. First, the artwork from a seemingly abandoned project called BroQuest could be used for inspiration, as the art style fits this RP's feel. Secondly, how would the player characters first meet? In what state is Eigas when the adventure starts?

@Turbowraithright now, the change in leadership has already officially been done, but the warlords are still working to install their beliefs into the country. There are still towns that see the former government as their rule, but not for long.

How the characters meet will he decided once we have the characters set up and everything.

Last note, the art for Broquest is awesome.

In all honesty, at least one of the characters should be a spy of the warlords, played by a player or simply have him be an NPC. Or better yet, have two spies of the warlords join the main gang, yet have them unaware that the other spy is really a spy and not just a good hearted hero.
