Speaking from personal experience on this, especially in a situation where teamwork and synchronization are extremely important, our advocacy for or against ideas is primarily to help prevent you from making a choice that is going to be terrible. When I got my character rolls, I was advised that my very low sync score would make the type of mech I picked very difficult and that I would be missing my targets most of the time. I opted to keep it, because it would be more fun for me to be forced to work on increasing my sync rate.
You also scored poorly on your sync, but because you picked a younger character, it got you a boost to make it pretty good, I think. But in character actions have a direct affect on this score. Your personalities start flipping and you hate your other personalities, your sync score is, probably, going to drop through the roof. So it is not advisable that you set a dynamic around that. Not because we might be annoyed, because frankly, it is all about having fun, and we all have to deal with annoying people everyday anyways, so maybe we don't want to here in make believe land, but as long as you are also having fun, I think we could deal with it. But the dynamic you have chosen will make it very difficult to be successful, and that will probably be less fun. Add in an 'annoying everybody' character trait and now nobody wants to interact with you, leading to no fun, at all.
Again, your in character actions have in character results. Opting to be defiant against Lorenzo will probably result in your character being fed to the pet Cruxi he keeps, like poor alpha.
So, please, don't take our opinions of your character design proposals as a personal attack.
If you have an already approved character the way you want it to be, run with it. Yes, you have similar backstories. Make it different by RPing it different. It is not uncommon that several branches within the military are attempting the same thing through variations in the program.
Thats my two cents.
