I decided to let you guys vote for your Chief. So, there ya go. Wernher and Lexicon have double voting power thanks to not getting any picks chosen in the previous round, etc.

A note on the symbol and color part: I'll be using the color for the map when I whip it up. I'm using a program that lets me add layers upon which your clan's color can be used to show what territory you hold in the Hidden Valley. That's what the color is for. The symbol is just fluff and I'm too lazy to draw that, probably. (Probably.)

The roleplay itself should begin a week from now (4/1/20016).

This is one of the things that folks are free to consider changing if they wish. It's also true to the game which this roleplay was inspired from.

I'll be making the weakened magic a soft amount, though, not a huge amount. Don't get stressed out over this, folks, but do note that it DOES weaken you.

The clan is made! We are Clan Aonghus. Our tapestry is a field of green with a bright red drop of blood in the middle. Our Chief is Serhiem Vashir the Second.

I will send @Lauder a PM about being chief tomorrow. Also, I'll explain a little more about the roleplay and write more about the Storm Giants as promised.

Yeah, it came down to a choice between Domagoj and Serheim, and I had to play tiebreaker. I went with Serheim because I figured he'd get more respect for having once been a warrior, even if he's not so useful as one now, and your clan has a fair bit of martial history.

Well, I will do my best to lead the clan in the opposite direction of the ground. If @Shorticus is making this just as brutal as KODP then I should 'know' what to do. However, I have only won that game twice, out of my now 67 attempts. This should be fun.

Firstly, I thought about writing up something for April Fools jokingly saying that I'd like to turn this into a magical school girl NRP, but then I thought better of it after remembering the last time I got hit in the head with a brick.

I really don't want to get hit with a brick again.

Instead, I'll just let you know that I've been working on the map for this roleplay. Expect the map to come up tonight or tomorrow after class, then expect the Storm Giants piece to follow after that, and expect the roleplay to start on Friday.

In case anyone is wondering how the map will work: I'm using a program that lets me create "layers" so that I can easily reveal areas of the map which you know and keep the rest a relative mystery to you. I haven't decided if I want to just severely gray out the unknown regions or make them completely blank to you.

Lots of stuff happened today, but the good news is I did, in fact, find time to work on the map. Now I've just got to separate it into layers and such, etc.

However, I feel safe showing you guys the region of the Hidden Valley you'll be starting in before I finish the map in its entirety.



So, this is what the map style will ROUGHLY look like before I add on the political layer. Note the mountain art in the top-right. I plan on using that for any sort of important locations you discover as well as to fluff up the scenery for plains, hills, mountains, etc. It's not super art, but it's what I got.

Light green = plains. Slightly darker green = hills. Very dark green = forest. Blue = river. Tan = mountains.

This is about 1/10 the size of the map I want to have prepared for you guys overall, and in fact is about 1/4 of the map I've already drawn. When I DO finish the map, I'll use layers to "gray out" the areas you haven't explored yet, perhaps leaving certain very visible landmarks still somewhat visible to you on the map.

Clans will have political lines and colors on the map. In your case, the chief colors of the clan are green and red, so I'll use red for your border and green for your owned region.
