Al, was his name a mysterious boy that lived in the small town. He was often a shady fellow and ever since he moved here people had started to go missing and it had seemed that when some where found they where dried of blood and two bite marks on their necks. It was like vampires where real but it was 2014 come on people vampires aren't real they came from myths and kids dreams. Little did this town know they where all wrong and they where all about to see with a girl meeting the monster behind the murders.

Al was walking around that night in the small towns street, the town could be rather dangerous if you stepped into the wrong area at the wrong time. Al was known as the bandit of the town he often seemed to be able to disappear and then reappear only to vanish once more. The male was strange but many girls swooned at him strange though how some girls where found dead. None of the police questioned him because he was so strange but they asked the parents to get him checed. They did but it did nothing to the ancient count of the night. Al walked along the road before he hears someone yelling and shouting and then saw a girl and a gang of eight muggers and eyes narrowed at them. he started walking over darkly , "I ask that you leave the girl alone" he said darkly to the males.

Fey stretched her arms lazily above her head as she stood beside the manager of the Coffee cup café where she worked part time. It was fully dark now as it was approaching 10 o’clock in the evening, it wasn’t normal for them to be open this late but it was summer and that meant tourist season. Clicking her neck back and forth she hummed absentmindedly waiting for him to lock up, she was hot and the air was thick with the sound of people who would be continuing to have a good time long into the night. Finally he was done and Fay gave him a small smile as she adjusted the pale pink tank top she was wearing and denim hot pants.

“Well see you tomorrow Fay. Careful on the way back, some of the lads around here can get a bit drunk.” Fay chuckled slightly at John’s unneeded warning but appreciated it nether the less.

“Don’t worry John. I’m a big strong girl remember.” She flexed her arm muscle and gave him a quick wink to which he smiled and bade her goodnight which she echoed. Then turning her back on the café Fay started her walk back to her place, inwardly groaning as she knew she should probably make a start on that essay tonight. As she walked past the more seedy side of town with its streets full of drunken people who were spilling out of bars she ignored most of the cat calls and names that were thrown at her, it was just another evening in this town.

Coming to the cross roads Fay was faced with a dilemma should she take the alleyway which if used would get her home in five minutes however it was dark, grubby and a known hiding hole of drug dealers and worse or she could go round the lit public footpath which while generally nicer did add 20 minutes to her journey home. Peering down the alley she saw it was deserted and thinking of the essay she decided to risk it but choosing to go at a sprint.

However she was not even halfway down the alley when she realised this had been a mistake when a large arm snaked out of the shadows, grabbed her around the throat and pinned her up against the wall before she even had time to scream. Panting against the force at her windpipe Fay looked upon the shadowy face of her attacker. He was large, rough looking with a mean face and his expression promised nothing good. Fay tried to fight and struggle against his grip but it was no use, he was just more powerful than she was. From behind him more men seemed to melt out of the shadows until she was well and truly surrounded.

“Well well well, what little tasty morsel has wandered so willingly into my web?” Fay blinked at him, her blue eyes large with terror knowing she had just one chance. Swinging a leg forward she caught the man holding her in the groin with a sharp kick that made him hiss with pain and drop her. Taking a deep breath Fay did the only thing she could, she screamed at the top of her lungs, hoping against hope that someone heard her. However she was cut off quickly as once again she was grabbed by the throat and strung aloft. The man’s face was red with rage and pain and his eyes bulged madly as he looked at her, his gang moving in tighter around him. “You’re going to regret that!” He hissed at her as the pressure on her neck increased. However a voice rang out through the darkness, startling all the men around her and they all turned their heads stupidly to find the source.

"I ask that you leave the girl alone"

Al looked at the males, what a bunch of cowards they really were, He gave a smile and said again nicely 'I said let the girl go, if we really must get intoa fight then here is a taste of my punch' He smiles walking over fist clenched and punched the leader harder then any human could have punched and smiles. He looked at the other group members and took out a staff and smiles 'Come on lets give you guys a go' he muses and watched as they had started running at him. he smiles warmly and slammed his staff into ones gut while flipping a male over his shoulder and kneeing another male in the throat. it wasa bloody ten minutes but he finished with a smile on his face at the gang members on the ground in pain. He looked back at her his sunglasses hid his eyes from her.

"Hello Miss I am sorry about that but they seemed to be bothering you" he said in a gentleman like tone, he had a charming smile and long black hair. His red cowboyish like cat on . He was soft spoken male but he knew she probobally never seen him before, well not many people of this town had and the ones that have labeled him as a murderer. His eyes seemed to look a bit odd the boy had red eyes maybe it was contacts. He wore a strange set of clothing. He was giving a soft smile one of gentlness and love and care.

Fey watched in a state of relief and horror, a strange mixture of two conflicting emotions as she pressed herself up against the cold brick wall as the stranger dispersed then men. The ease and almost delight she glimpsed on his features as he tossed the large men around like dolls sent cold waves trickling over her skin. The groans of pain died away as the men scarpered as the men ran and limped away from them. Then he turned his attention fully on her and once again Few found herself on the backfoot as his voice was soft and calm and the face which had held a manic grin previously was now sweet, almost a purr.

"Hello Miss I am sorry about that but they seemed to be bothering you"

Fey didn’t know what to say and she didn’t know if her tongue would form the correct words, she was completely thrown. If truth be told she was considering just bolting down the rest of the alley and back home where things made sense again. If nothing else she was pragmatic and this man had just saved her life. Giving him a quick smile in return she willed herself off the wall and took a step towards him, hating how her knees were still knocking a little.

“You could say that. Thanks for your help there. My name is Fey and what can I call you, apart from knight in shining armour.” She giggled nervously.

The male smiles softly and nodded his head "Nice to meet you Fay, I'm Al or could call me Alucard my full name. You are unwise to be alone at this time of day, I'll get you home safely, which way?" he asked looking around the large maze of streets and signs around them. Al might have been Dracula but it didn't mean he knew everything. Alucard looks at her with a soft ressuring smile and saw she was a bit shaken ,
"Don't worry they won't come back to trouble you miss" he promised softly his eyes sparkling red color but again could be contacts.

Fey looked intently at the man who seemed so at odds with the scenes of violence that the place had just witnessed. He seemed calm and extremely courteous but Fey was not one to trust so quickly but glancing back over to where the men had run off she decided that she could use his protection to make it back to the main street.

“Well thank you Al.” Pointing straight ahead and started walking in the direction that would lead her home and he matched her pace in a heartbeat. Looking over at him through her thick lashes Fey took stock him, he was quite strange now that she looked at him and she had never seen anyone dress like him, nor had she ever seen someone where tinted glasses at night. Curiosity ate away at her as they walked along until she could not hold it back anymore.

“So Al what brought you to this neck of the woods.” She smiled mischievously “Apparently it can get quite dangerous around here.”

Alucard looked at her slowly "I heard your scream and I came to see what was going on" he said slowly looking ahead as he walked slowly stopping at the main road. He chuckled 'what a stunning night is is" He said looking at the stars smiling slightly. He shook his head slowly and smiles deeply. he laughed softly and looked at her slowly "I do trust you will be safe here" he said as his tainted glasses shine in the moon light. He sniffed the air slightly and frowns suddenly, "I must go" he said turning slowly and started walking away, he seemed to vanish in the shadows of the forest. He walked through the forest smiling and ran around swiftly.

Fey watched in surprise as the man named Alucard almost ran from her presence as soon as they were back on the brightly lit main street. She watched him disappear into the crowd with flawless ease he vanished from sight. Fey felt slight abandoned, she had be rescued and unsure if she could trust his stranger and then she was just left, back in safe territory again but he was just gone. Shrugging slightly Fey just allowed the mystery of it to wash over her, it had been a long day, she was hot tired and had gone from extreme terror and relief in space of a few minutes, and it had been a funny day.

Getting out her key Fey made the short walk back to her apartment and letting herself into her modern little place Fey smiled at the normality of it. The colours of choice were black and white with a focus on a chequered effect, it made Fey feel like she was playing chess, which happened to be a favourite pastime of hers. A quick hot shower later Fey was laying in bed, lights off, in that place where one reflects on the day’s events.

The thing that kept playing on her mind was Alucard’s eyes, they were different from any other man she had ever met. For a little while she stayed awake listening to the sounds of the city in summer through the open window. However she soon fell into a deep sleep, her dreams haunted with large men made of shadows and the stranger with the bright red eyes.

Alucard faught off the wolves though he got hurt slightly he didn't care. He walked around the shadows of the night, turning bat form he flew around and landed on her window cil watching her with his bat eyes. he smiled gently and then flew over touching her head with his wings making her have a peaceful sleep,. With that done the bat flew away slowly his wings silent, the only thing he had left behind was a book , a small journal he had. The bat swooped off slowly smiling.
