"Im sure you know of the mute knight of Bravado...a sinner that calls himself a knight for their greedy king" The woman said with some disgust in her voice."He has killed many men form Meche to Escudo..everywhere he does death follows him..." She said finishing drinking the water in the glass mug.

"Surely if he is a knight then he was only following orders. Do not blame the blade for the actions of the man who swings it. And what of Bravado being a nation of greed, without them Meche would fall into poverty. The only reason the peasants eat at all is because of work and trade that they provide. Bravado is certainly better than the other options, would you rather we toiled under the military of Escudo? I would happily give up a few coins to keep a boot of my neck"

"Mhm he is still a sinner like the rest of Bravado...however i will agree with you that they are of a lesser evil then Escudo..." She said looking up at him motioning for the bar maid to come so she could pay for both of their drinks."Our head Cardinal will see to that all the sinners in this land will pay for their crimes against god" She added looking around trying to sense the presences of Xavier.

Xavier meanwhile was looking out of the doorway seeing the scary woman before ducking back into the room looking around.Touching the walls of the inn feeling how cold they were against his hand.

Kormac quickly payed his and the priestess' bill, "It was a pleasure meeting you, i hope that one day we can share a proper meal together and discuss your organisation at length.". He promptly wandered off making sure not to walk straight to Xavier but eventually making his way to him. He payed for a room, making sure that the priestess saw him do it.

He took Xavier up to their room and started to explain his plan,

"That priestess works for an order called the Red Dove. I have no idea what they want but they sure as hell dont like Bravado and they sure dont like you. She saw me rent the room for the night so if she wants to grab you for burning she will probably wait until she thinks we are asleep.

But we wont be staying here tonight, im going to go to the wagon and hitch it up besides the inn. Im going to sell everything in there except for sleeping roles and my weapons to the innkeeper and use whats left to buy a horse to ride alongside yours. Then we ride hard away from here to get as much distance between us and her as we can. I need a destination where i can do research into the Red Dove, where they are based and who leads them, so that i can try to work out if they need to be stopped and if they do how to stop them.

She mentioned that you work for Bravado as a knight so i assume you have a mission, if it doesnt conflict maybe we can work together to save yourself from a date with the pyre."

Kormac put out his hand for Xavier to shake, if all was to his liking.

@Eviledd1984"Well if there is no horse to spare, I might as well. Though if we aren't moving quickly, I'll walk." he let the leader know. He wasn't used to riding two people to a horse.

Xavier looked down at the other man's hand that was shaking his own,Nodding his head taking in the information that was told to him standing up form where he was.Grabbing his things mostly his sword and the small sack of equipment that he had brought with him.Their is no time to waste they will have to leave as soon as possible.

The mute man would then head out with Komac out of the room they we're in and out of the inn when a commotion could be hear outside of the inn and man running into the inn."Goblins...a team of them are attacking" The man yelled out with most of the patrons rushing and panicking.This could be a good distraction or something Xavier could do to show the Doves that he was a good person. Xaiver signed to Komac if they should help the villagers or not.

"Don't worry you would be falling or anything..and our horses are very quick so we can get to Meche in a few days.." The leader of the thieves spoke up waiting for him to get on the horse."We cannot waste any more time ya gonna head up or not?" The leader added shaking his head as others giggled.

"Fanatics wont be calmed by one good deed, but we cant leave these people for dead. How used to cavalry tactics are you?". As Kormac mentions the idea he starts to saddle the horse he had purchased. He hated to leave behind a village in peril but he knew that the Red Dove priestess had some kind of magic and if she used it he did not want to end up in the firing lines.

Xaiver signed that they should not leave the villagers to the faith of the goblins or the Doves.The mute had heard of what goblins would do to the woman in the villages they would raid.The thought sent shivers down his spine and made him fearful of what would happen if they did not at least help the Doves.

He then signed to the the other man that he has done something like that before,He then signed to him what he had in mind.

"We should charge out to meet them, harry their flank on the east side staying out of the main firing line. If we can take out enough of them they should break and retreat. We follow until we are out of sight and then disappear into the night. Everyone thinks we die a hero and we can escape to take on the Doves."

Xavier signed that that he could follow with Komac to take out the goblins,He then signed that perhaps they should not do any rash and attack the Doves without knowing more about them. Xavier then took his sheathed his sword heading out of the door and out of the inn making sure that he would be in the shadows.

Usually he would be alone or with a small group of Bravado knights,But in this situation he would have to team up with a person that he was a bit weary of.His footsteps light against the wet ground that someone had watered their gardens,He could hear the clashing of swords and wet cutting sword of flesh on both sides.

Yelling could be heard probably form the High Priestess who was cutting down Goblins left and right with her rapier.

@Eviledd1984The swordsman sighed and then hopped onto the back of the horse. "Then let's get going." he said, less than excited but ready to get fighting.

The leader nodded and soon the group was moving down the long dirt road that would lead them into Meche.Since they we're Mercs they might be able to get though without a problem."So old timer tell me a bit more about yourself,Why have you want to work with that fat arse Manik?" The leader of the thieves said not wanting to offend him but was curious.

Likely to the displeasure of his seemingly stealthy ally Kormac leapt up onto his horse and brandished his sabre. He let out a shout and kick into its side making it charge forwards. As he surged towards the front line of combat he prepared to jump, looking for an ideal place to land among the enemy.

Xavier was not shocked by this and thought that going in with stealth would not be the best idea,The mute came rushing towards a group of goblins who we're going to kill some of the local guards. Cleaving about four goblins in two with a long horizontal cut.The mute then moved towards the goblins that we're attacking the Dove's decapitating a few goblins.

Komac would land near a few goblins who were murdering innocent villagers who were helping the guard defend the village.

@Eviledd1984Old timer? This guy wasn't very worldly, it seemed. He wasn't so old, though perhaps in this dangerous world, even someone reaching his age was an accomplishment. "One job is as good as any other." he said. "I haven't been given much info on this mission. Anything I should be wary of?"

"Well didn't mean to offend ya partner...Yeah be careful of the Meche soldiers and the mute warrior" The leader said riding towards the direction towards the border to Meche."He's a mean son of a whore he killed more men that you can think of..or so i hear" The leader added sooner or later the group headed to the border of Meche asking them to stop to be inspected.

@Eviledd1984Meldarion narrowed his eyes at the guy up front (to where he was pointing) and examined him. So he was the one that was considered dangerous. He'd keep an eye open, in the future. "Thanks for the warnings, my friend."

"Oh no problem and well what do ya need to know that we're goin after a Bravado knight" The leader said as he stopped his horse letting the guard search them."What is your business here in Meche?" The head of the guards said eyeing the leader and then to Meldarion."We are mercenaries looking for a knight have you seen this man?" The leader said pulling out a piece of parchment with a drawing of Xavier.

"Yea i saw him with a caravan a few hours ago..went to Faut the bordertown north of here..about two hours form here" The leader said pointing to the direction of where the tow would be.

@Eviledd1984@HopelesRomantis Madawc hid himself in the woods that were near the village. In one hand he held the reins of his second horse, with the other hand he pushed away some small branches so he could see more clearly what was going on. There was a lot of noise and lot of movement that asked for identification. What he saw made him decide instantly not to progress any further. The two guys that he saw charging in seemed to get the situation under their control quite efficiently, and he was not good at hitting goblins. Probably the two swordsmen would come his direction, so he prepared for a confrontation as his chances of getting away quick enough were slim.
