"Mikey had pointed out the stuff about the badges, we want to circumvent the rules, at worst if we break them we can't get caught breaking them or it'll put us on the watch list, or worse the detention floor." Connor shivered slightly. The detention floor was the only truly bad part about the school. It was where all the uncontrollable problems went, kids who went crazy from their PKs, lost it from their mutations, or were overly brainwashed with GPC before coming here, and there was limited control exerted by the school there. "Leaving our badges at home is a sure way to get busted, the rules have it in there three different ways that you have to have your ID on you at all times. The twins let it slide most of the time for minor infractions and let it go with slaps on the wrist for a while there, but I have a bad feeling about this guy. I hadn't heard anything about the Med staff. Sorry I only ever have to go in for my annual check up and at this point I've skipped those the last three years anyways. How far along are the biokinetics we know, could any of them do patch jobs for us to help avoid it?" Connor asked quickly and quietly. For now their small group included only the kids sitting at this table and Mikey, but he had a feeling this little group here would grow. At least he hoped it did. If it didn't he had a bad feeling about what would happen.

Kayden nibbled at her fries, thinking. What Connor said was true, this new headmaster seemed a few inches away from the cliff of nutsville. "...What if we switched our badges?" Kayden asked. "Or make them think that all of the badges are glitching. They'd have to recall them for repairs, right? And if it comes down to it, I doubt these yahoos would stand a chance against all of the students if there just so happened to be an uprising," she added, keeping her voice low. Finishing the fries, she pushed the tray away and looked around. "I'm level 5 biokinetic."

Rosaline quietly sipped her drink through her straw. She wasn't sure what to add but things had felt very different this year. "Maybe..." Her gaze fell on the cameras along the walls as she grappled for an idea. Sure, Kayden was right about the headmaster being a loony but they knew nothing about them. Rose had a feeling they were all being watched. "Maybe we should have this conversation another time and place. " She jammed her fork into some lettuce, picking it up to her mouth, "Besides, we should try to enjoy our breakfast and catch up something a little less nerve-wracking."

"As am I, though even without it, I can do some pretty good patch jobs." Gin mutters softly, nodding towards Kayden. His red eye slowly glances towards Drake, offering a bit of a playful snort. "Sooo dangerous, Nails. So dangerous." With that though, he went quiet, promptly finishing his undercooked hamburger and reaching for the next. He seemed to find himself rather distracted as he dug into the still nearly pink meat of the second burger. He should have gotten buns and ketchup, too. Today it suddenly tasted oddly bland, at least to him it did. Maybe it was just his mood... he had to be in -some- kind of mood to actually enjoy his food. He had been on edge just a few moments ago, but it passed the moment he got his worries off of his chest and in the open.

Slowly he reaches up a free hand, holding onto the now mere few bites of undercooked burger with the other, to rub at his eyepatch. It was a simple piece of leather with some cloth that laced around his head without much of a problem. It was comfortable and rather soft. Though it sometimes itched, like now. He stops rubbing his eyepatch though and merely continues to finish his meal, listening to the rest of them chatter.

Connor nodded at the sentiments. "Moving on from topics better discussed in study groups, which by the way, every tuesday, from 4:30 to 7:30 from now on?" Connor spoke quietly, but with slight smile, he knew he should be wrapping up the conversation here quickly anyways, the kids were all finishing their food now and getting a little rambunctious. "I should probably start rounding up the freshies and show them around the school, if you guys want to tag along feel free, and Kay if you still wanted to spar with Mikey I'm pretty sure he'll be up by now anyways."
Connor stood in a fluid motion and gave a loud whistle, "Alright everybody, if you guys can wrap up your meals and conversations and come over to meet me at the hallway on the opposite side of the cafeteria as from where we entered! We are gonna be walking quickly an moving around through a lot of hallways, so I need you all to stay close and be careful not to get separated!" He had his voice just loud enough to carry throughout the large cafeteria, and without hesitating to see what his fellow yes or the freshies would do he began to walk towards the doors that lead towards the main hall.

"Tuesdays? Good thing you picked a time after security training," Kayden said. She stood up from the table and cracked her neck then picked up her tray. "Then I shall go find him and pester him for a few hours," She said, giving him a cheshire grin before leaving. It was a tedious walk to the boy's side of the dorms and an even longer one to the dorms built to specifically house the giants like Mikey. Counting off the doors, she stopped and knocked loudly. "Mikey! You up?" She called.

"Hey Kay! Let me put some pants on!" Michael grumbled in bass tones, he hulked his frame off of the specially designed extra large, extra thick bed, and pulled on pants that could hold a normal person with room in each leg, and threw on what had originally been a picnic table cloth, converted into a button up, he opened the door, shirt unbuttoned, and still shoving up the sleeves so that the sleeves were up above their elbows. "Sup half pint?" He asked, leaning against his dorms specially designed door frame. He stretched, his joints stiff from sleep, popped loudly.

Connor gathered the kids into the elevator and pressed the button for the thirteenth subbasement, the floor that housed the training rooms. It was standard practice to first feed all new incomers and then take them directly to the large training hall to see how physically fit they were, and test what kinds of and how well developed the kids PK's were. He already had a general idea of fitness, there were some kids that could probably learn to become good soldiers, there were others though, and Connor knew from experience who they were, that would never shed some of their extra fat, and would quickly be shelved by the military as clerks or private sectors, unless they developed serious PKs.

"Yes, pants would be preferable as I kick your tail on the mats today," Kayden called, as she leaned on the door jam. She gave him a once over and then glared, if she'd had a tail, it would be fluffed up and bristling. "Half pint!? I've beaten you for the last week in combat training! What half pint can do that?" She demanded, narrowing her eyes as she craned her head back to look him in the face.
