@SigmaI can alter my ships to utilize more cannons and have either primitive guidance or just drop it altogether. However, since these missiles have existed for decades even before our time, I doubt they would ever be rare even after an apocalypse and rebuilding period. Nonetheless I will alter if necessary, although I ought to add that these missiles are purely antiair, ground, or sea. Not strategic missiles

@Inkdrop Hmm, well with it being AA, in that case, I could allow it.

@SigmaI'll see what tech others have. If they don't like it I won't have a problem scaling back or eliminating that element.

Guided missiles are late WW2 tech though, not terribly complicated to make. Admittedly guns are still important but guided anti ship missiles and unguided ballistic missiles would be a thing with the tech you describe. I'd prefer bombers to still be the order of the day tho.

And given we're going for empires, I'll grab Hawaii if I could.

my take on guided missiles,

They would more than likely be a thing but do keep in mind, IRL the first American designed Aim-4 falcon guided missile was designed in 1949 and began use by 1956 (and in my opinion, probably among if not the best AA missile at its time) It was still highly ineffective. Even more so, IRL by Vietnam, missile technology wasn't that great..

Inkdrop does bring up a point though regarding old missile technology.

Personally, I'd just have them as an equivalent to missiles of that time. IT's what I'm doing.

Does that still allow for stealth aircraft capable.of exceeding the sound barrier? And what of the Navy's turbine-powered ships, or the hydrogen fuel cell and biodiesel usage in civilian vehicles? I'm thinking another rewrite is in order.

Stealth tech is far more recent, and I'd rather we not start oneupmanship.

@Inkdrop The Civilian Technology however, I would think so at least, don't see much harm in. Not quite sure on the turbine-powered ships, it also seems "harmless"(for lack of a better word :P ), it just make your ships pretty fast.

Yeah... lets just stick with 50's stuff lol. And Inkdrop, this is going to be a game about plot, not a civ simulator so keep that in mind.

With all this talk of tech n such has made me rather hesitant on posting this. I can drop the one pre-war tech thing I asked for if need be though. I just want it for a planned cuba plot.

Franco-Iberia: The NAU has been long time supporters of its overseas ally. Free trade is strongly encouraged and elements of Franco-Iberia culture has infiltrated the NAU, mainly in the form of attire and many movies that dramatize the Saharan regions.

I am but culture and the happiness with life might play a role in those plots.

@Sigma Gas turbines in Navy ships are a mid 70s to early 80s invention, if that helps at all. I will remove the stealth and BVR capabilties of the air forces, though.

@Monkeypants see no problem in the Pre-War tech :) Helicopters are always nice.

@Inkdrop Ah, I see. And as you wish, however you can develop such technology later on or even start it at the beginning of the rp :)

It would just have to be in the early stages.

I'm not going to be doing a close up of the nation as it'll be very hard to do a port of a us map with how much sigma has blasted out of it :D
