@Sarpedon Alright, I'll take you at your word on that. I'm sure it'll be a great character regardless, you've shown you're good at that sort of stuff.

youtube.com/watch?v=WoBWsh4s2cY Here's a neat video regarding the heresy, for those who haven't seen it. Even if you don't like the song, I recommend muting it and still watching.

I absolutely can't waitto get this started... the Primarchs are some of the most interesting characters in the entire lore, and playing one is gonna be awesome, wether I chaos or not

I'll be honest - finding any sort of 'original' concept E.G. one not already associated with one of GW's 20 Primarchs, is going to be quite hard methinks; each one of them represents an emotion, a combat doctrine, and so on, and coming up with something unlike them might be somewhat of a challenge. Of course I'd not just copy & paste a Horus wannabe, but if I tried...say...an Ice Worlder who focused on sneak attacks and envelopment, it'd be like some sort of icy Alpharius.

Yes, I'm probably thinking way too much into this, but that's how I see it!

Will it stop me creating my own superhuman superhuman? Of course not. I'm here to crush enemies and spread the Imperial Truth...as are we all. *Shifty eyes*

Yes. Yes we are.

But I see what you're saying, it is going to be difficult to make a truly unique Primarch but then, isn't it always hard to feel your character is completely unique? I don't know, maybe it's just me who feels like that.

Still, should be a good bit of fun.

@Roosan I don't think making 'Completely original' primarchs is necassarily the goal. Obviously since almost every form of combat was covered by them we are going to share traits. I think the point is more to make them 'our' primarchs. To create interesting and flawed characters that we want to play throughout the course of the Holy Crusade from Terra.

And remember, we need not share personailites as the old Primarchs. A sneaky person can be talkative or an aggressive one can be sullen and withdrawn. Its not about making unique primarchs, it is about making our primarchs... thats how I look at it at least

I think it's safe to say, folks, that if you're going to create a Primarch, they don't need to be absolutely different from the canon Primarch. They do, however, need to be noticably different; for instance, copying Rogal Dorn wholesale under a different name wouldn't be allowed, but a nominally-similar character who happened to alight after the Scattering in circumstances that resulted in a vastly different personality would be more than reasonable.

By the way, @Lord Coake, excellent video right there. Thanks for linking it here.
