Dylan the Mudkip

Valiant Village

Dylan simply stood in place, not being able to avoid the small sensation of awkwardness of where he was. Here he was, suddenly surrounded by Pokemon he could understand, being a Pokemon himself somehow. As the Chimchar began talking with the Luxray about him and the Mawile possibly staying at a guild (which stood out to him, the only guilds in his dictionary being the merchant guilds of old), he shifted back from side to side in his amphibian body, oddly getting more and more used to it.

However, it was put to the test as the Mawile turned her, at least, he thought the Mawile was a she, attention to him, asking him questions about himself. However, the moment to test his body came after the questions, being shrugged off slightly before he could get a response in, with the Mawile handing him an apple. Now this sounded simple enough, but to grab an apple with four legs instead of two legs and arms was a bit trickier than it sounded, as he quickly found out. He tried reaching one of his front legs out to grab it, but quickly changed his mind when his balance was thrown off a bit, causing him to stumble. Instead, he grabbed it with his mouth instead, simply holding it in place. Needless to say, he felt even more awkward then.

Thankfully, the Mawile’s attention, Celty’s attention, as he learned, shifted towards the Chimchar and Luxray after offering him a place to stay with her if all else failed. This opportunity wasn’t squandered, as Dylan started to test out using a leg… er, hand… paw? Whatever it was in his case, he tried to use the front right one, lifting it off the ground slightly before returning to the earth, repeating this to get used to it. Once he felt confident enough, he lifted it to his mouth, grabbing the apple as he took a bite. It was surprisingly good for just an apple. If this was how all food tasted in this foreign place, he wouldn’t mind eating at least.

The Mudkip’s attention turned elsewhere as yet another new voice pierced through the moonlit night, causing him to turn and see the new arrival. It was a Lucario, one who seemed fairly familiar with the Chimchar. However, naturally the fighting type didn’t know him or Celty, both of them being outsiders, asking of their names. “Ah…! Well, I’m…” He paused for a moment, his name lost in his apparent amnesia. However, his lips moved on their own, letting out a soft whisper that gave him another memory, “...Dylan”.

Before he could elaborate, however, it seemed the Lucario also knew the Luxray… er… Luxray? Dylan didn’t know of any disguises that were that realistic. At least, until a sudden, with a small retort to the apparent higher ranking Lucario, the Luxray disappeared, leaving a much smaller Zorua in its place! Naturally, Dylan didn’t expect this, his surprise causing the apple to be fumbled in his hands.

As the water type regained a grip on it, the Zorua spoke some more about needing to save some others in the forest. Of course, with impeccable timing, yet another pokemon appeared out of the blue, a Totodile running at a tired sprint addressing the Lucario, Spirit it seemed, with a similar message about how two Pokemon needed help. Spirit seemed fairly shocked by this, leaving the group with some words aimed at who Dylan could only presume was the Chimchar and Zorus, before dashing off in the forest. A small part of Dylan’s mind couldn’t help but feel worried about the two Pokemon out there, but his attention still rested in the group of Pokemon in front of him.

The Chimchar and Zorua took the lead, seeming to live in and know their way around the village. This left Dylan, apple in mouth, Celty, who was saying something about having to babysit, and the new arrival, the Totodile, to follow behind as they were led to a possible place to stay. As they walked, their destination became more clear, the guild seeming more impressive with every approaching step. It wasn’t too far off luckily, as they arrived there fairly quickly.

Once inside, the Chimchar walked off while the Zorua introduced himself as Milton and started checking something on a bulletin. After that, Milton walked off as well, leaving him, Celty, and the Totodile to stand there. He decided to break the silence by introducing himself to Celty, in case she hadn’t heard him before, and to the Totodile. "Um, I suppose I should introduce myself now, huh…? I’m Dylan.” Before he could say any more, Milton returned with some information. The Zorua proceeded to explain the current housing situation, three beds being open conveniently enough. However, the question of who would go where was left hanging in the air, a two one split necessary.

“I’d be fine with any bed really,” Dylan said to the other two, apple in hand to allow him to talk. His attention then shifted to Milton to answer his question, apple raised in hand. “And I’m good, but thanks for the kind offer.”

Zaru the Chimchar

Valiant Village - Spirit's Guild

Zaru nodded before heading off to the storage. He was quick about it too, taking three and placing it on his arms, balancing one atop his head and one on his mouth, that was his. Right, there were four others, Milton, Celty, that Mudkip and that Totodile. He then scrambled back to where they were and luckily he was able to not make the apple fall. Once he came back, he placed the apples on the group and took the one atop his head and brought it to Milton and took the one in his mouth and placed it firmly on his hand so he could eat it properly. "Here 'ya go Milt." He said as he gave it to him.

He then hopped down from the desk and then gestured for the pokemon to take the apples. He was probably going to spend the whole day tomorrow collecting apples in the nearby dungeon because he took these, that was if Spirit didn't force him to stay put in the guild to 'guard' it or even to update the request board if it needed to be updated. It was usually night work but if Zaru wasn't going anywhere, he was more than sure that he'll likely be awake the next night too.

"Oh, if you didn't hear from the master earlier, my name's Zaru. Nice to meet 'ya." He decided to throw that out for the others. He then sat down before starting to chomp down on the apple. He leaned back on the wall and seemed extremely relaxed for someone who's going to be spending the next few hours listening to Spirit's lecture about staying up at night and breaking curfew. Hm, maybe he wasn't as scared as one would think, having been the ones who always had the same lecture over and over again, just like Rico and Lulu. But Zaru could more or less guess that this one might be very different considering that someone actually got hurt in the midst of their adventure.

He could understand the two though. When Spirit's awake and around, the two couldn't really go on many adventures because their dad won't let them. Zaru guessed that they wanted to fulfil that sense of adventure that they were getting and just went on ones when their dad wasn't looking. It was dangerous, yes, but understandable. When he was a child, everyday was an adventure, everyday they travelled and sometimes they would act like a guild team and save other pokemon.

"So... where did you guys come from?" He decided to let that question out. These three were complete strangers to him and to the rest of the village. He also did that for the sake of conversation. It would be eerily silent if they didn't talk and would really just up his nervousness.

Spirit the Lucario, Tranquil Forest

In almost no time at all the powerful Aura Pokemon had made his way through the forest. Tranquil Forest itself wasn't considered a Mystery Dungeon, but the Crevice within it, that was a different story. Thankfully at night the Crevice Pokemon seemed to sleep, during the day they would attack any intruders in their territory on sight, even... even children.

However, too much of a ruckus could awaken them, and greatly agitate them. He had to hurry.

Rico and Lulu, the Riolu Twins, Tranquil Forest Crevice

Rico had looked over Lulu's leg, it didn't feel broken, but it was definitely bruised up badly. Then he felt it, they both felt it. The strong presence of Aura heading their way. Dad was coming. "He's going to be so mad..." Said Lulu, lifting her head up to look around. A few moments passed, and soon they could hear the branches above their heads shaking. A few moments after that, a light thud, and a few footsteps. Spirit stepped out from the shadows, to the relief of the twins.

"Rico, you okay?" Asked Spirit. "Yeah, I'm fine, but Lulu needs some help, she's banged up pretty bad." Spirit nodded to his son, and gently picked up Lulu, holding her across his shoulder. "Let's get out of here, then." Rico nodded to his father, and followed his lead as they leapt from branch to branch. Eventually they made their way out of the chasm, and just in time. The moon was setting, and the sun was beginning to peak over the horizon.

Valliant Village

Melody was an early bird. When the sun peaked over the horizon, she would already be up, getting everything ready for the day. Her daughter and husband on the other hand... they'd prefer to sleep the morning away. She was just checking the berry supply when there was a knock at her door. She opened it and found Spirit, with Rico behind him and Lulu in his arms. "Oh no, what happened? Wait... answer that later, just bring her inside!" The Lucario obliged, and after everyone was in, the door closed.

A Few Minutes Later

Lulu was sound asleep now as Melody looked her over, she had used a concoction of berries to help her relax. Meanwhile, Spirit was sitting in the other room with Rico. "What am I going to do with you kids... I'm proud of you though, I feel you did the right thing." Rico looked up at his dad. "I should have stayed with her though, I shouldn't have let her go alone." Spirit looked down to his son. "You both learned an important lesson though. I know Lulu always tells you you need to take risks, but a good explorer knows when to weigh the risk, see if the reward is worth it." Spirit closed his eyes and continued talking. "I know I'm hard on you kids, but I'm doing so for your own good. I've known about your escapades at night, heading out to the clearing. I did the same kind of thing when I was your age, to be honest." "So, you're not mad?" "I'm mad, in my own way, but I'm also so proud, you now know why I always warn against going out at night."

Rico had gone silent, and Spirit continued talking. "At least you learned that. I feel like you two might have what it takes, and you've got some good friends to back you up here in the village... huh?" Spirit looked over to see Rico had fallen fast asleep, and he didn't blame him. He'd been up all night because of this event. Melody motioned to him, so he left Rico and headed into the next room.

"Lulu's going to be just fine, once she wakes up she'll be back to normal. She's strong, just like her father." She cracked a smile, and gently picked up Lulu, handing her to Spirit. He cradled her with one arm, and headed back to the other room. There he picked up Rico and headed to the door, with Melody following behind. "I'll stop by the guild later to see how she's doing, just in case." Spirit nodded, and out the door he went.

Spirit traveled across town, passing through the currently near empty Center Plaza, heading into the Guild. The upstairs was reserved for Spirit, his family, and personal guests, so he headed there immediately. I put the twins to bed, and headed back downstairs. Kids or not, he still had a Guild to run. Plus... after that, he thought they deserved a day off. He passed through the crew rooms making sure everyone was up. "Everyone, let's go, we've got morning meetings to attend to." He headed into the main room to wait for everyone to assemble. @Iatos @Polaris North @Noklu @Light Lord @Ninian

AMELIA THE PANCHAM, VALIANT VILLAGE

"WAKE UP!"

The immature, obstinate pokemon stirred; beginning to rouse herself out of her sleep, the bongs of cast iron pots being repeatedly smacked together and her father's galling bellows striking her eardrums as the sun began to rise over Valiant Village. He could hear him pacing about her bed, thumping the two items together over and over, booming over clangs and clatters while shouting at her to wake up. Takeo Feuille had waken his daughter up like that for the last two years. He'd take the time to carefully and delicately sneak up the stairs, ensuring his massive footsteps were soft, tip-toe his way down the creaky wooden paneled floor, gently open the door to her room, and unleash the crescendo of his pot symphony. The girl covered her ears with her pillows, trying to drone out the incessant howling of his shouting and pans. It wasn't long before, finally quitting, she'd thunder off, throwing the pillows down in frustration as her father followed, belly laughing profoundly.

The two would begin breakfast in the small, cramped kitchen, her father practically hunching over in order to avoid smacking his head against the crumbly ceiling. "You didn't have to wake me up this early," Amelia murmured in a small, tired voice, in sharp contrast to her father's deep, booming, and imposing one. The early morning haze still fogged her mind, causing her to forget that she was supposed to be the big, tough outlaw. "I really need some more sleep, dad.." Her dad leaned in, staring at her inquisitively, an eyebrow raised. "You're in a surprisingly good mood, Amelia!" Her father exclaimed, still chewing through his steaming bowl of noodles. "You're usually still sour about the wake up call!" The pokemon would blink twice, her eyes growing lucid and mouth losing the confused, sleepy smile, realizing just who she was supposed to be. "I-I can't believe you woke me up this early, f-fartface!" The pokemon said, catching herself. "I'm too old for that kind of junk! not too old for a bedtime story, though.."

Her father smiled. "Okay, that's a little more along the lines of my daughter." The Pangoro laughed, slurping the last of the spicy soup remaining. "Well, sun is rising - you know restaurant's going to get busy soon, and I need to prepare!" The massive pokemon would slide over his small stool, turning around to head down the stairs - the restaurant floor completely silent, devoid of the usual laughter, jokes, and threats that usually permeated through the thin floorboards. Amelia followed him down. "Ugh, dad, do I really have to help right now? I have lots of stuff to do." By lots of stuff to do, she meant hanging around on a boulder and pretending she was a cool outlaw. "It'll be simple, honey- just help me set up for the morning breakfast rush, and you can go hang out with any friends." Her father declared. "Just start up the fire and prep the ingredients." The Pangoro got to work, boiling pots of water, steaming noodles, and mashing sauce together with surprising finesse for someone so large.

Amelia would help him, walking about the small kitchen setup he had devised - washing fruits and vegetables in the cool waters of his stone washbowl, pulling spices and powders out of labeled string-tied pouches, and pouring a series of liquids into a large, metal barrel affixed to a series of junky, criss-crossing pipes. She threw a handful of black powder into the opening of a large, spherical stone furnace with a stone pipe leading up through the roof. The furnace would ignite, and she spent the next few minutes blowing and tending to the small flickers of an ember that she had managed to produce to eventually create a strong, hardy flame. The furnace also doubled as a heating system for the family, allowing them to keep warm while cooking pancakes. Her father fastened his typical white band around his head and tied on his large, stained apron, before walking over to the door and flipping over to the open sign, smiling proudly as he placed his hands on his hips, waiting for the first customer of the day - civilian or explorer.

Amelia pushed past her dad, rushing through the early morning village. "Okaythanksdadbye!" She said, eager to get out of the house and find something to do.

Devon the Totodile

Valiant Village, Spirit's Guild

His mission finally complete, the Totodile called Devon sighed and sat on the ground where he stood after Spirit ran off to find his kids. Phew...Rico and Lulu are taken care of....Now onto the next problem: Who am I? I got a name, Devon, and I know I have a Dad, but that's all....I don't even know that much about Dad either....I'm guessing he's a Feraligatr?....Wait...No, that doesn't feel right....He's something else... His deep brown irises glanced around at the other Pokémon around him. His tail moving around in the grass slightly as he barely paid any attention to their current conversation. A spark of hope crossed his mind. Maybe some of these guys know something?...No...I don't think they recognize me. Judging from those weird looks they're giving me....Then again, I DID just fly out of the woods like a crazy dude.....But maybe they can help me out some other way?

And luckily, the other Pokémon did have a way to help him. The Chimchar and Zorua that apparently lived at this 'Guild' place offered to let Devon, the Mudkip, and the Mawile stay for the night. A toothy grin crossed the Totodile's maw as he stood up to follow everyone back inside of the impressive building. "That'd be awesome! Thanks!"

Once inside the Spirit's guild, Devon's head darted to each of the room's many features, and began to wonder what it was all for. What was a Guild anyways? Some sort of board with a bunch of papers....What are they for I wonder? I can't read them from here....That writing looks odd though. I don't think I've ever seen it before....

The Zorua on the counter introduced himself as Milton, and Devon stared up at him. Doing a short wave with his tiny clawed hand. "Hi Milton. And I'm fine with whatever. Bed's a bed. And food sounds great." Curious, the croc stared at the Tricky Fox for a few more moments before looking away. He's....A Zorua right? Huh....Are they supposed to be that small? I swear they were bigger?....Maybe I'm thinking of some other Pokémon....

The Mudkip finally spoke his name, and Devon replied with his own and a tiny smirk. "Hey Dylan. I'm Devon. Good to meet ya."

Chimchar came back with food, which eased the now hungry Totodile. The call for sustenance having been of little concern for him while he was stumbling around in the forest. Taking the apple from the chimp, the tiny Water-type fell back on his butt and grinned at who he now knew was Zaru thanks to the Chimchar's intro. "Thanks Zaru. I'm Devon." With most of the intros out of the way, Devon went to chomping on the apple nosily. Ripping large chunks out of the fruit with his developed jaws.

Then the golden question came curtsy of Zaru. Devon stopped munching on his apple for a moment as he blinked at the Chimchar. His expression blank. "No idea where I came from. I kinda just...Woke up next to a tree back in those woods. I can't really remember much of anything. It took me awhile to just get my name to come back too."

Spirit randomly popped his head through the door. The Lucario seemingly appearing without a sound startled Devon. Making him jump a bit. And the words that came from the Aura Pokémon's mouth confused him to no end as he tilted his head at the doorway after he swallowed more apple. "'Meetings'? What's a meeting? And it's already morning? Was I seriously screwing around out there all night!? Jeez..."

Celty the Mawile
[Valiant Village - Spirit's Guild]

@Iatos@Polaris North@Noklu@Shiny Keldeo@Light Lord
Celty had followed both the Chimchar and the Zorua to the Guild. She greatly appreciated the fact that they seemed to be allowing her to stay the night.

Looking over the spare rooms, she clasped her hands together with a smile. At the mention of food she nodded somewhat before speaking, "I did have one to stave over my hunger, but I'm sure another wouldn't hurt. As long as you're offering, anyway." When Zaru returned, Celty took one of the pro-offered apples, and began to casually munch on it.

The previous apple incident with Dylan returned to the forefront of her thoughts. It was clear something was different about the Mudkip, as it was obvious that the Pokémon was having some issues with gross motorskills. With furrowed brows, the Mawile thought to herself, How could someone abandon such a troubled child...?

After the introductions, Celty smiled, nodding. "It's good to meet everyone. I really appreciate the room tonight and food. It helps, a lot."

When Zaru asked the important question, Celty blinked a few times at Devon's odd response. Contemplating it for a moment, she glanced in a nonspecific direction before replying herself, "I'm from Seelie Village. If you're not familiar with it, it's full of Fairy-type Pokémon and it's nestled into a valley."

Finally, the Mawile whipped her head around to face the Totodile. "So... wait. Back up a moment Devon. You actually don't remember anything? Like... what happened with your parents? Is abandoning your children a common thing over here, or what?" The idea of several parents just up and leaving their children thoroughly frustrated and upset Celty. She hadn't visited many places other than Seelie. Perhaps fairies were just super protective of their offspring? Would that make Spirit an outlier?

Speaking of which, Spirit had made his way back, and was already waking everyone up. Furrowing her brows as she took another bite of the apple, she thought to herself, Morning meetings...? I sure hope he's not expecting me to attend. I haven't slept in... 48 hours? It's been a while...

Team Clawtune
Valiant Village - Spirit's Guild

The bluish early-morning light streamed in through the small, high window that neither Pip nor Jaki could reach. The little bug Pokemon chirped anxiously at the still-sleeping Jaki. They had been out all day yesterday on a particularly difficult mission (though most of the other teams could have done it in half the time), and Jaki was still in a deep, exhausted sleep all this time later. Nervous about getting in trouble, Pip went out the door and looked down the hallway: no one was there. At least they hadn't been missed yet; he scurried back into the room and tried to wake Jaki up again.
"J-Jaki! We've slept in again!" Pip chirped, trying and failing to shake her awake. "If Spirit finds out, we could be in big trouble!"
"Mmhm..." Jaki groaned, slowly waking up. She sat up and shook her head, clearly still groggy. "Pip, it's still evening. It's even still light outside; why did you wake me up?"
Pip shook his head, his antennae twitching with nervous energy. "It's not evening, Jaki, it's almost sunrise!"
Jaki jumped out of her bed immediately. "What?? Pip, you overslept again! We have to get going right now!" She ran out of the room, down the hall, and towards the main room. Pip lagged behind her, having no wings and very short legs.

Devon the Totodile

Valiant Village, Spirit's Guild

The little Totodile watched as many Pokémon scrambled past the doorway out in the hall. Some of them slow moving and groggy, while others where practically running full tilt as if eager for what ever these 'meeting' things were. Still he chomped on his apple as a worried thought struck him. Hope this doesn't include me....I just got here like ten minutes ago, and I already have no idea what's going on around here....

Celty finally brought her confusion upon Devon. The empty minded Totodile frowned. Spinning what remained of his apple core around in-between his legs as he sat on the floor. For some reason, he ate that apple REALLY fast....And was slightly tempted to eat the core too. But he thankfully fought that urge as he answered the Mawile.

"Nope. Nothing. I don't remember anything besides my name, and I only just know I have a Dad. Nothing about Dad comes to mind though. I don't know who he is, what he is, where he is, you get the idea. And...I really hope abandoning kids isn't a trend out here."

Celty the Mawile
[Valiant Village - Spirit's Guild]

A slight frown played across Celty's features as she looked over the misplaced Totodile. "So you know your name, and... only that you have a father...?" Repeating the facts was almost pointless, but it was more of a processing exercise at this point. Letting out a sigh, the Mawile hung her head, her jaw-like horns drooping as well. "Well, that's disheartening. I thought I had it rough, at least I know who I am and where I came from. That said, I would probably still trade you situations."

Taking a bite out of the apple, she then hurled the remainder behind her, her extra set of jaws taking hold of it. She then crossed her arms, looking over Devon with a sympathetic expression. "...Look. I'm not really good with kids, but if you really don't know anything, you can come along with me until you remember something or we figure out a more permanent arrangement. Someone here might be willing to take you in, too if you'd rather that."

Milton the Zorua

He felt surprisingly calm as he looked over all the new faces, perhaps it was just that calmness one would have before impending unavoidable doom. He got his apple from Zaru and were glad to gobble down on it like if it was his final meal. He nodded to the chimchar before letting out a sigh as he looked to the others. "Thank you Zaru..." he would say and once he finished his apple and everyone had started getting a bit orientated around the place he leaped down from the reception desk and headed towards the door, it was getting late... or rather 'early' by now, and he was actually way more tired than he thought he would be.

With a loud yawn he glanced to the new faces with a smile, "Uhm Well with that settled its time for me to go home..." he said as he yawned again and slugishly headed to the door before glancing back one last time. "See you... tomorrow" he said and then slowly made his way over to his house, he was honestly glad that it didn't look like the Guild master was returning for a while. However he even thought he was worried about Rico and Lulu he knew they would be safer with their father than they would be with himself. It was with a half empty state of mind he crept through the window of his house and wiggled down to the floor below.

Then he let out a sigh of relief, he had made it... he was back home... and boy did that bed look soft and shiny. He slugishly smiled and headed over towards the bed when he suddenly froze mid step and turned more and more pale. 'Shiny?'... he repeated in his mind, with a laggish head movement he turned towards the 'shine' in the room and realized several rings lit up. "I... almost survived...." he whimpered to himself and then he met the end... it was his mother, she had found him out... she was really pissed beyond anything and... well he didn't quite remember the last bit so much... "Mom... I'm home" he said sheepishly before falling to his sideas he drifted asleep.

The next day when he awoke however and shook awake he realized something was off, he slowly crept to the living room to see his mother again. He lowered his ears and padded up to her slowly, met by her disappointed gaze. "Mom... I'm sorry. I kinda found ot my friends was hurt... I wanted to save them, its the truth... really. I also helped some pokémon find a place to sleep" he explained weakly, he then braced himself for that ear full that hadn't come the other night, but instead he was tightly hugged and he was certain he heard his mother sobbing.

"I... I was so worried... I didn't know how far you had gone this time, if you would come back, or if you was hurt... do you even understand that Milton?... its not the first time, but please. Be more careful, don't go anywhere without letting someone know. " The Umbreon said as she caressed him and holding him tightly. Hearing her that sad really tore a rift in Miltons heart, it was possibly ten times worse than hearing her yell at him for being careless, now he was filled with self doubt and a nagging feeling that he had hurt his mother... "I'm sorry mother. I... make sure I do that in the future" he said as he hugged her back. It was a strange morning to say the least, his sister was already at school, and he himself... well apperently he had slept in a bit.

"I.. should get to the guild, I guess I have to get an earful from Master too. can I go?" he asked and looked to his mother. She sighed as she calmed down slightly, "Very well... but be back by dinner time, I have voulunteered you to help Keckleon paint his new sign... should be suitable punishment for your shenanigans" she said, and there it came... he knew he wouldn't get away with just a sobbingm and thus nodded before he left for the guild. "Alright mother, I see you later" he would say before he hurried back to the guild.

In fact he felt like he would probably come by the morning meeting, and he had a lot of conflicted emotions about how to feel about today. Arring in the guild hall he saw the new arrivals, they were here as well eh?... he nodded simply before he headed to the meeting hall. "Junior Explorer Milton reporting in sir" he would say dutifully, even if he knew today would be a bit of a torment.

Dylan the Mudkip

Valiant Village-Spirit’s Guild

Dylan took another small bite from his apple as he stood in thought. Zaru’s question caught him off guard, the Chimchar having returned with apples for everyone. It’s a question he himself wanted to know the more he thought about it. He knew he was human, but besides that, the only memory of where he came from is the forest in which he woke up.

As he thought that, something felt a bit weird. He hadn’t said that out loud, yet he just heard that answer… The Mudkip’s head turned automatically, finding the source of the voice to be not some kind of mind to speech converter, but the Totodile, Devon. Needless to say, Dylan’s mind recoiled heavily, his body slightly tensing up as well. “A-amnesia…?”

The thoughts of how to answer Zaru’s question completely fled from his mind as a series of his own questions pushed their way in instead. The biggest question of them all being, of course, ‘was he the same?’ However, before he could decide on whether or not to ask that question in front of Celty and Zaru, Milton having bid everyone farewell for now, the Mawile latched onto the Totodile’s words, asking some questions of her own.

Dylan, mind reeling from the sudden intake of information, simply stood there as the guild seemed to get a bit louder, other Pokemon inside waking up. It seemed Spirit was back from his rescue, telling everyone to get ready for a morning meeting. The current situation, however, took the majority of his attention. He listened some more, taking further notes, every word important. So Devon couldn’t remember anything besides his name and the fact he has a dad, huh…? Two memories, just like him. The only difference being Dylan’s memory of being a human and Devon’s of his dad.

In any case, the Mudkip noticed a small lull in the conversation, and decided to add some of his own words, understanding things a little better now. Only a little though. “W-wait, hold on.You have amnesia too…? Do you, uh… remember anything else besides your name and dad? Anything at all?” Dylan knew he might be sounding a bit weird at the moment, but his urgency to find out answers took priority. He couldn’t help but let out a small “S-sorry if I’m prying,” afterwards though.

The offer given by Celty was nice, but Devon shook his head in reply. "Thanks for the offer Celty, but I think I might just try to check out around here for now. These guild guys seem cool."

Dylan, the odd little Mudkip next to Devon, finally spoke up. Apparently he too was curious about Devon's apparent case of amnesia. The Totodile shifted from where he sat slightly to face Dylan standing awkwardly near him. Then nodded with a frown. "Yep. And I don't remember anything besides my name, and just the fact that I have a Dad. It's fine Dylan, you're not prying dude. I keep trying to remember other things but...." The crocodile sighed before shrugging his shoulders. "I still can't find anything...I'm just hoping more of it comes back soon...."

His strange brown eye's focused on Dylan's, his brow raised a bit. "Hold on, you said 'You have amnesia too'...You having the same problems? Crap, hope I didn't start a trend. What do you remember Dylan?"

Celty the Mawile
[Valiant Village - Spirit's Guild]

When Dylan revealed that he also had amnesia, Celty placed a palm to her forehead. "...You too? Seriously? Well, I extend the same offer I gave Devon. I guess that explains why you apparently forgot how to eat. Seriously you two, what am I going to do with you...?"

A smile crossed Celty's maw when Devon declined her offer, though her brows were furrowed in concern. "They do seem nice, so it's probably for the best. I no longer have a place I call home, so... if that's something you cherish, we're probably not that good of a fit anyway. Still though... if you change your mind and I'm still here, I'm not going to just leave a kid by themselves."

Dylan the Mudkip

Valiant Village-Spirit’s Guild

Dylan nodded slightly in thought as he listened to Devon’s response. So, nothing else, huh…? That meant he might not have been a human before… Didn’t eliminate it, but certainly didn’t confirm anything either. However, he could relate to the Totodile’s sentiment. Having his memories back would be nice. Might explain why he was here as a Mudkip…

Not that he could dwell on those thoughts for long. The next words leaving Devon’s mouth left the Mudkip wanting to hit himself a bit. Of course he had to let that part slip out, of course! Now he had these two worrying about him, Celty having picked it up as well obviously. He could only hope no one else nearby like Zaru could have picked that up. Not that it would have been hard to, the attention obviously on him now.

As Dylan tried to think of how to respond to the Totodile’s question, he found himself wanting to smack his head again as Celty brought up the apple incident from before. So she had picked up on that after all… Well, at the very least, picked up on something being wrong. Not the actual reason behind it. However, the time for dwelling on that wasn’t now, he still had to respond.

“Ah…! U-um, don’t worry, I’m sure it’s a temporary thing. I remember is my name and waking up in the forest near here. Must have hit my head on a rock or something like that…” Dylan trailed off. He had left out the part about him being a human, or having been a human, as it would have probably sounded absurd, and given him a one way ticket to an infirmary. No, now wasn’t the time to tell near-complete strangers that.

Devon the Totodile

Devon wasn't convinced by the stuttering Mudkip's reply. The Totodile rocked a bit on his behind before taking a shaky stand still facing Dylan. The Water-type wore a frown as he crossed his arms. His eye's drilling into the amnesiac Mud Fish. "Same as me then huh? You don't know anything else? I'm just thinking this weird memory loss isn't a coincidence. I also had a bit of trouble getting around after waking up too. I stumbled through those woods for a while, and my legs still feel weird. Plus, I swear I don't remember having a tail but..." Looking down near his feet, he could see his brown spiked scaly tail brush the floor next to him. "Ya know, it's there. I kinda like it though. Helped me not fall flat on my ass a few times."

Celty the Mawile
[Valiant Village - Spirit's Guild]

@Noklu@Light Lord
Pulling the apple from her black jaws, she began to munch on it again with her true mouth. Swallowing, she frowned at Devon's take on the situation. "So... you had issues walking, Devon and... you don't remember having a tail? And Dylan had a seriously hard time eating... Hm. Well, I'm going to have to say it's probably not a coincidence."

Biting, chewing, and swallowing she continued, "I think you guys also forget that you're both children, abandoned in a forest. I would really like to think that your parents didn't knowingly do something like that. It's even stranger that you both don't seem to know each other? But, I guess you could chalk that up to the amnesia." Finishing the apple, core and all, she folded her arms. "Well, I don't know what you guys want to do about this, or if there's really anything you can do."

Zaru the Chimchar

Valiant Village - Spirit's Guild

Zaru listened intently to the three conversing. He didn't inquire any further as Celty seemed to have it covered. So it seems Celty came from Seelie village and the others apparently just woke up in the forest. And as the conversation went on, it was revealed that they had amnesia or something and Celty began worrying on why they were abandoned. Abandoned and with amnesia? That should hurt. Devon claimed that he remembered his name and his dad and that he was sure that he didn't have a tail before. Now, if Zaru remembered correctly, all Totodiles were born with their tail so why... As for Dylan, it seems his name is the only thing he remembers. He was actually drifting to sleep. He didn't know how much time passed but he woke up again.

When he did wake up, he saw Spirit come in. Yup, Zaru knew he just nodded off. It was probably just five minutes of sleep but that was good enough for him. He looked at the three. "If you guys don't have anything to do, maybe you should join this guild. It's a Junior Exploration guild." He said before standing up and then nodding at Spirit.

He then saw Pip and Jaki stumble out of their rooms and head for the area for the meeting. "Heya Pip, Jaki." He greeted the Team Clawtune. He then walked towards them. "You guys missed a lot." He said with a grin. Considering that they were in trouble, maybe it was for the best that the two didn't get involved.

Team Clawtune
Valiant Village - Spirit's Guild

Jaki arrived before Pip did, practically tripping over herself and barely stopping short of Zaru. She looked frantically toward Spirit, and then back towards Zaru, wild-eyed. "Zaru! Spirit didn't notice we were late, right? Me an' Pip were out so long yesterday, poor li'l guy slept in!" She explained, trying and failing to keep her voice low. She glanced behind her to see Pip coming in from the hallway, immediately standing beside her. He avoided looking up at Spirit, hoping he hadn't noticed their absence.
"Are there any apples left, Zaru? I'm starved, and so is Pip. Right, buddy?" Jaki playfully tapped the little Kricketot on the head.
Pip nodded, looking quickly up at Zaru before looking away. "Yeah, real hungry." he said softly, absently kicking his feet.

Zaru the Chimchar

Valiant Village - Spirit's Guild

"I think he's more focused on us late night adventurers." Zaru said jokingly but it was meant to reassure the two that he didn't think Spirit noticed that they were late. The Chimchar looked around before taking one of the apples, the one Dylan didn't take, and then gave it to the two. "I'd suggest waiting after the morning meeting before getting some more." He wasn't sure if Spirit would actually let him go to the storage and sneak more apples out.

"Out? You two on expedition again?" He asked, curious on what kept them out so long. They were an official team after all and they could do a lot more than what Zaru could do. He was just pretty curious.

Valiant Village, Spirit's Guild

The Guild's members were slowly assembling. They all fell into lines as they entered, facing towards Spirit as they waited for the morning messages as they had grown used to. He didn't see any of the strangers that had come from earlier. He looked back towards the crew rooms, seeing no one else coming out. And so he began the day's meeting.

"Alright, as you all know, Officer Magnezone informed us a few days ago that a highly dangerous Outlaw, Flash the Scizor, was spotted in this area. He's wanted for robbery, and assaulting law enforcement. He is considered a five star priority, so I'm only assigning our most experienced teams and Pokemon to that. Luxray is already out in the field tracking his whereabouts, out in Dry Valley Gulch."

He took a breath and continued. "For our younger members, I believe that there are a few tasks around the village that need taking care of. As of right now, I don't want any of the younger members leaving the village without an older member. Also, I want to speak to Milton and Zaru at the Center Plaza in ten minutes. Dismissed!"

Before heading to the Center Plaza, Lucario stopped off in the crew room where the three strangers from the night before had stayed. A Mawile, Totodile, and Mudkip. "I'm afraid we didn't have some proper introductions earlier, my apologizes. I am Spirit, the Guildmaster here."
