@Shorticus You're doing wonderful so far! Couldn't really ask for a more responsible/reliable GM

I concur with this. @Shorticus you are a great GM and I am having lots of fun in this RP!

Also, about the issue of the defenses during the raid...

Since Dunlad didn't go to Clan Andal last turn (let's just say events in the tula kept him here), and since he has the Craftsman trait, he can help with the tula fortification efforts.

Drawing up a mega-post right now, might actually make it a two parter.

@Lauder well, arguably with the raiding season coming, she'd need it now the most. Though she'd probably agree if the chief agrees to something. With the rumors going, eliz knows she took 2 person to speak with the undead. Shell find the guilty and ask him for a duel.

@babbysama Nice post. I completely forgot Dunlad was married. I edited Maire's musings that a marriage to our resident master kern might be beneficial. Maire can be slimy, self-obsessed, and cruel but she's no home wrecker. I have to say, I like the posts that involve more than just the Council discussing the current problem they have to deal with. It makes the world feel more alive.

Anyways, I have one last overhaul to do for my post for my other RP and I'll get cracking on Maire's response.

By the way, folks, since we're getting into the third turn and all, let me ask:

Is there anything you feel I could improve as a GM? Does the weekly update seem to be working for you guys? Etc.

I'll be around later today to discuss stuff about the RP, and I'm more than willing to hear any criticisms y'all have.

As always, please feel free to have your characters discuss matters in the IC section. The raid will be handled at the end of this week, so feel free to also start writing about actions that don't involve the raid. I'll go ahead and decide now that your turn actions take place BEFORE the raid.

You are performing commendably.

@babbysama could odo fight alongside eliz, of all things? I could see his dad having to swallow his pride and ask eliz to crush his ambitions to be a gallocman

I'm not crying. These aren't tears. This is MOISTURE.

As GM I'm obligated to do awful things to Dunlad's family, but now I don't want to!

You must fulfill your duty. A GM must be cruel.

@Lexicon No problem, I didn't really point it out in the CS but I will note Dundy's familial relations there so everyone knows ;) However, a marriage alliance between Odo and Andal could be possible

@Wernher I was definitely thinking of something like that---as in, Odo joining the gallocmen, having to fight with Eliz, and maybe Eliz trying to use him against his father in some way? I definitely think Dunlad does want Odo to be a gallocman, he's just worried that this raid could end up being pretty high stakes and it's Odo's (who is sixteen btw, forgot to point that out) first actual combat experience. He worried about his bb boii

I tried to highlight with the post (especially the part about the ring) that Dunlad basically is still a kern in his manner of thinking---he's levelheaded, down-to-earth, not ambitious, and has a secret alcohol habit. He lived basically his entire life as a stablemaster/farmer. This whole council/make decisions for the clan thing is very new to him, and he's still getting used to it. I think he does have the potential to establish himself as a very powerful member (I mean being on the Council is power enough) of the Clan through Odo as a gallocman and his own actions as a councilor. However, he doesn't know what he really wants.

Why Eliz? Ardghal is more responsible with his soldiers.

But to be honest, I hadn't thought of Odo's relationship with Ardghal since Eliz has been so explosive lately.

I can imagine that either of the two playing off of Odo could make for some fine tragedy/drama for our clan

Because they'll probably be fighting on two fronts.

@Mardox OOOOHHH about the battle!

I was thinking more in the long term (that is, if he does indeed survive), but as for his actual participation in the battle...not quite sure really. Maybe Eliz and Argdhal could talk it out IC?

Hmmmm... That would be quite the pair looking out for your son if you had both. Fire and Death.
It is certainly worth considering.

Unless anyone can think of more pressing needs Titania will be checking on her trainee's again. As for battle plans Titania can be one of those people using tower shields. I'll get a post up regarding thoughts on the Orc soonish.

Meanwhile me along with the men I went to raid the Nightfell with move forward (along with some people able to lift tower shields) on foot and taunt the advancing Nightfells, with me swinging crossbow bolts since I'm really hard to kill rather than hide behind shields.
Thoughts?

@Shorticus

My actions:
Set up traps against our flanking enemy,
Go talk to the Orc to see if he is friendly,
And finally arming the men with my spears to fight

The traps are already set - no need to set them up. In fact, you wouldn't have time to set 'em up differently because the enemy is marching on you right now. Nobody knew the Greenfeathers were joining in until they crossed the river. Everyone would have thought it was just the Nightfells.

Talking to the orc and equipping the men differently are definitely ways you could prepare, however.

Well I got two moves so I'll use them to do just that. My spears would be useful for those fighting but my skill is in talking and finding a plan so I won't be in the actual fight instead I'll go talk to the orc and find out if he is a good guy or not

Cool! You can still participate directly in the battle, too.
