Yes - God Eater is originally a game. For PSP, to be exact, then later shifted to PS Vita and PS3/4 for the sequel and a remake.
So far, only the very first, original God Eater game got localized in English - the rest only go as far as Chinese localization with no signs of ever getting Western treatment. Maybe with the anime slowly gaining popularity going West might happen, but don't get your hopes up too high for that, yeah.

Well, I've played all the games (except for the latest GE: Resurrection, which I plan to buy when I fly to Japan again - buying it in my region is super expensive).
