Firstly, contrary to what some have said, my legion is not CQC focused.

Secondly, if @mattmanganon wishes to go with a Chinese flavour then that's cool, mine is more Fedual Japan anyway - or I can at least alter it to become even more so if our legions happen to be alike.

That's all I gotta say, really.

Oh, and I've got plenty of other ideas anyway, so if I make a complete overhaul then I'll make sure to tell ya'll.

OH, and just to finish this off, I'm going to be having a really tough day at work today...so coming back to see this RP actually starting would certainly be a blessing, and a boon to whomsoever should start it.

@mattmanganon Hi there! Glad to see we have yet another willing snackrifice player on our hands.

Now, regarding your Legion ideas, I don't necessarily have a problem with either of them... however, I think outright mutation of Rumisklinese into a beastman is beyond the point of too much mutation. Something like that would probably be considered a failure by the Emperor, and the offending Primarch would subsequently be killed off to as great an extent as possible, with their Legion erased from Imperial records as two of the Legions were in canon. Animalistic traits could be managed, given that Leman Russ may or may not have had literal wolf DNA in him, but outright mutation on that scale is too substantial even for a Primarch. As for Ruubai Han, he could ask for lesser Battle-Brothers to be considered Primarchs as much as he likes; all he's going to do is get himself and his Legion censured. Heavily, in fact, if he asks very frequently. Think "entire Legion forced to kneel in front of a very large crowd of people". That sort of censuring. Just so you're aware.

Now we're talking.

It's unlikely the Void Stalkers are on Ullanor Prime. Considering Urlakk Urg was hoping to move on to another sector I think it's safe to assume he had a fleet of Roks and Ork ships in the system, and the means to build them. Who wants to help the Void Stalkers destroy the shipyards?

EDIT: Actually, Gabriel and the Sixth Chapter (with a few Unseen) could be on Ullanor Prime.

@BCTheEntity Well, when reading about the Emperor, the Primarchs always less of "Sons" and more "A means to an end" with the exception of Horus, who he really did love as a son. Looking at old Empy's actions, my understanding of it was that he would use the Primarchs and the Legions to conquer the galaxy, then probably have them wiped out when everything was 100% secured, like he did with the Thunder Warriors. As such, the idea behind Rumisklinese was that the Emperor would allow him to live with that helmet, so long as nobody found out what was underneath. This is due to his Gene-seed being unmutated.

That being said, although I think Rumisklinese would be the more compelling character, I think Ruubai would be easier for interaction with the rest of the universe.

@mattmanganon I mean, I'm pretty sure he wiped out the Thunder Warriors specifically to make room for the Space Marines. He wanted his reign over the galaxy to be represented by noble paragons of humanity, which the Space Marines would have been in perfect circumstances; the Thunder Warriors were psychopaths and murderers even before their surgeries to alter the traits needed for their conquest of Earth, and hence obviously not noble enough to keep around. I highly doubt he intended to ever get rid of the Astartes or the Primarchs, even if they were simply a means to an end.

Regardless, I think mutation into a full beastman is too substantial for a Primarch. Something that major won't be allowed.

I personally would love the opportunity to be on Ullanor Prime. The Wild Blades despise Greenskins, so I feel like it is fitting for them to push to be apart of the climactic final battle.

As far as your 6th @Hank, would you be opposed to having a detachment from your forces work in conjunction with my Legion?

Not opposed at all, @Savage. Gabriel and Erron Khaal fought side-by-side before, I'm sure they could work together again.

My thoughts exactly. Since Gabriel had prior experience with the Wild Blades I figured it would be a good fit for his unit to be attached under mine for ground operations.

@Jbcool No need to change, mine are based on the Shu Han Dynasty of Chinese culture, Ruubai is essentially Liu Bei. I am writing him up now.

And rather than being Generalized, they are essentially 3 specialized armies. The Emperor's Blades are Tacticals, the Blue Dragons are Assaults and the Iron Vipers are Devastators.

@Specter189 Degenerating, really, either physically or mentally. That was also deliberate engineering on the Emperor's part.

@BCTheEntity Yeah, he set what amounted to a time limit on them because of how psychotic and murder happy they were, but they also had a normal human's lifespan

<Snipped quote by Specter189>
I keep contemplating refining my pretend codex to specialize a little more. Going harder or heavier, perhaps, to play up the Erinyes aspect without losing the Athenian one. Terminator Hoplites?

A phalanx of Terminators with enlarged storm shields and power spears would be fearsome indeed

So, I think this will take some Coordinating, I'm voting the Paladins Eternal are on the prime planet (due to the heaviest fighting)

And I'm guessing the first round of posts is going to be us in the war room discussing tactics?

Look at these glory-hungry opportunists...see how they wish to be the first into the fray...see the lust for laurels and honours that they crave. Pah, not for the Sons these trivial things, no, for there is still much honour to be had in that which we do. Honour, and the heads of our enemies.

That said, the Sons will be doing pretty much what the Scars and Ultrasmurfs did during the campaign. That is going around the outlying planets/sectors and mopping the Orkoid scum up, anyone up for a quick jaunt around the system to secure the rear?

@Sophrus I'd have suggested the first round of posts be on the field, doing the things your Legion does. By the by, folks, said thing should not be "a Primarch accompanying the Imperatio Armatus into Ullanor Tower", in case anybody asks; they've got a handle on stuff in there.

Just realised I've made no mention of what my legion and Primarch are up to. Given that the legion speciality is long, drawn out conflicts that bleed the enemy dry, I think the Desert Sons have been leading a significant portion of the ork forces on a merry dance through the Sector, setting up traps and ambushes wherever possible.

Anyone interested in joining Sevrah in some dastardly displays of strategy, tactics and 'cowardice'?
