Also Aspen, is Laurel speaking Turkish? Google translate has it something like "Till next time, friend" Do I have that right?

Yes, Demirci is a Turkish last name. That's where her family is from despite them being half Egyptian, Half Greek as far as their Gifted lines go.

Ah I remember now. His actions were more directed to her mother. He has no problem with Laurel directly.

Laurel is quite used to people disliking her for the things her mother does so she assumes everyone who doesn't like her mother feels the same way about her.

Seriously thinking about introducing another character but questioning my own sanity for doing so.
