@Life in Stasis How is Dark Souls III? How does it compare to their last game? I haven't had hardly any time to play video games. Working freelance sucks.
I didn't play Dark Souls II. It just seemed too samey and "if you liked our last game, here's the same game with slightly better controls but WAY HARDER AND TROLLIER and with no new ideas whatsoever" (seriously I watched some of the latest update gameplay, and the white "ghosts" you see wandering around/fighting air may in fact be enemies, not other players. Also you can't target them. It just seems cheap). But compared to the first Dark Souls it seems initially easier and with slightly better controls, as long as you're already familiar with some of the mechanics (like retrieving your souls after death.
Gets hard quick though.
So far, very good in my opinion. Story is a bit blah (I really liked it in the first game, even thought it would actually make a wonderful grim and melancholy RP), but as usual it takes a backseat to the gameplay. The first Dark Souls had the best story and voice acting.
This early on too there's bloodstains everywhere so I can amuse myself with everyone's clumsy deaths.
