Hurrah XD Time to post something before I fall waaaayyy behind!

Name: David “Battery” Smith

Age: 29

Country of Origin: United States

Power(s): Joule absorption/projection. He can absorb energy from within a few meters of himself. He can then impart that energy to other things or simply project the energy in more direct fashion. This has had the inadvertent effect of making it even harder to kill him, since he simply absorbs energy directed at him—though only force directly hitting him gets absorbed without intent.

Appearance: Almost entirely unremarkable. David is about five feet, nine inches and a hundred and sixty pounds. His body is more like a lean athlete’s than a heavy combat soldier. His hair is brownish, though going prematurely gray along the sides—just enough that he looks like the everyman. A a rule, he wears either well tailored suits or t-shirts and jeans, most often long sleeves, because his only really identifiable characteristics are his tattoos. He has biblical quotes, primarily in Hebrew and Greek tattooed on his arms, chest, and back. Additionally, various proverbs in other languages adorn his skin.

Personality: David is quietly businesslike. Spending a good portion of his life under identities other than his own and doing jobs that require a certain detachment from his humanity means that he can be a bit on the cold side when dealing with others. It also means that what little personal identity he has he holds onto dearly.

History: Since the age of seventeen, David has been working for Classified. Working in Classified and Classified for two years after his training in covert operations. Classified was the first time he took a life directly.

The discovery of his powers has only enhanced his abilities, since it is harder than ever to kill him and he doesn’t bother carrying weapons anymore.

Other: David is trained primarily in covert operations. He specializes in working alone, the idea of having support is partially welcome. He normally is either given generalize instructions and a timeframe or a specific target. Information gathering is not his primary skill set—just troubleshooting (usually through shooting). These days he tends to use ice as his primary weapon; he absorbs thermal energy from the air to cause ice to form and then imparts it with that energy as kinetic energy to fire it as a bullet (with spin as per standard).

Country of Origin: England

Appearance: Pretty tall for a girl her age (5ft 8), with long, pure white hair that’s braided into a French plait. Before she mutated it was a jet black, and now she hates it. Dark skin, African features, looks quite a bit older than her age, very toned, always seen wearing black clothing (which is quite usually sports gear, tracksuit bottoms, combat boots and a tank top + Hoodie)

Power(s): Toxic Fumes - Imagine the most polluted waste dump in the world. Now imagine that waste dump on fire. Now imagine that whole image embodied into a single girl.

Marie possesses resistance to fires and burns, non-biological toxins and poisons, alkaline substances, and some poisonous gases like sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitric oxides. She isn’t resistant to acid solutions however, so as soon as these gases mix with moisture they’re a huge threat. When Marie’s natural defence comes into play, where affected her skin will turn into a very ugly grey/green colour, and her eyes become pure white. But hey, at least her hair goes back to it’s natural black colour.

From the bottom of her palms, Marie can eject a large quantity of pure, cloudy white smoke. The smoke from her right palm is very highly alkaline in nature and so incredibly corrosive, and the smoke from her left is almost identical to the smog in a factory fire (Mainly acts as a smoke screen, but it also smells repulsive - stay in it for too long, and you’ll be knocked out).

There’s also an acidic smoke which can come from her mouth - but Marie would need to regurgitate and completely empty her remaining gut contents to use that. It’s effective, but it’s not a pretty sight. Plus, her oesophagus and mouth would become severely burned afterwards, so it can’t be used more than once a month at best. Unless Marie was feeling suicidal

Side: English Government

Personality: Stoic and cold to most, but deep down Marie is actually quiet shy. She wouldn’t want anyone to find out this side of her though, so she puts up an act and keeps people at a distance. She’d much rather complete tasks with no emotions attached to them, and with very few people to interact with.

History: Marianne had one older brother - at the time of the meteor crash, he was visiting France. Right where the meteor site had hit. He wasn’t hit directly on collision, but died painfully in one of the smoke clouds of many fire outbreaks that happened thereafter. At the same time, Marie’s bizarre toxic power had begun to manifest itself in her - she is convinced that the two events are related.

Before this Marie was quite the introvert and kept mainly to herself, and tried to keep out of the limelight - but another side effect of the mutation was that her once prized jet black hair had lost all the colour there was to it. Now it was so clear, it was almost transparent, and there was no way people wouldn’t single her out in a crowd anymore. Needless to say that when the English Government combed though the city for Subjects in a “Voluntary” recruitment programme, she couldn’t even pretend to be a normal human being anymore. In fact, she was one of the few [willing] people to sign on, and was given a reasonable amount of power for her “enthusiasm” (when really, the rest of the Subjects were highly sceptical of the whole deal. Which often got them killed.)

Other: One of Marie’s massive drawbacks is that she hardly thinks critically, or thinks for herself anymore since the change. She just mindlessly follows orders without thinking forwards about future consequences, even if they will end up harming her directly.

I'm curious to see how different government groups interact with each other.

In 8 days I had 3 midterms and a term assignment so I didn't have a chance to post, barely had a chance to sleep! My semester is lightening up though and i'll be pretty active for the next month :)

Is anyone else going to post or shall I continue?

Well, we need a place without saying a place. Have we written ourselves into a corner?

Well, Alice is young and hasn't exactly lived too hard of a life so far. I was going to have her say she was on one of the islands just off the west coast of Africa. I could also just have her say the place. It would draw the attention of government folk but she is fairly practiced with her powers. If that were the case I was going to make another Character to help Alice out.

I am not going to post until someone figures out what the hell is going on. As with my last post I posted assuming the meeting of the supers was somewhere in America.

Yes.

No, we haven't written ourselves into a corner. broadcasting is bad, focused communication between only two people is undetectable. So when the others contact alice now, she can tell them where to meet. Or it could be fade to black for single communication and just say in a single post she told everyone singly.

Country of Origin:Japan
Power(s): Electricity/particle charge control: She can not store electricity for long, but long enough to create damage. She has in the past mainly used her gifts for good such as learning how much it takes to restart/stop a heart. She can burn tissue by focusing an electric charge by changing the particle's charge around the area. She can also stimulate cytokenesis within tissue, like an ultrasound. She uses a metal rod when she fights because she can easily change the charge of the rod and pass her electricity through it as a kind of extended hand. A lot of how she creates this electricity is mainly changing the charge of the air/pathway to the object so that electricity can follow along it (like a lightning strike) and by amplifying the electricity within her own body.

Appearance: Indigo eyes, long blonde hair. She usually has it up in a ponytail but on special occasions she may wear it down. She wears a yellow jacket that has clearly been though a lot. She carries a messenger bag full of medical supplies.
Personality: Quiet, analytical, independent, logical, intelligent. She hardly speaks and when it is it's only when she feels necessary. If one is lucky enough to draw her out of her shell so to speak she can be quite expressive but only in her subtle little way.
History: Makoto finished her schooling as a nurse and before working at a clinic she decided to try and impact the world. She was a bright and happy student who just wanted to help the world as best she could. Her world was a somewhat cruel one but she always tried to not let other's opinions and actions get to her. She traveled all around Japan and became affiliated with an organization that routinely sends nurses across the globe to help those in need. She was a part of 2 relief trips to areas that had been devastated by natural disasters. During the meteor strike, Makoto was in Egypt treating the remnants of conflict between the people and their government. Across the Mediterranean Sea didn't get hit as hard as Northern Italy for example but there were natural repercussions. Mild radiation and ash storms began to hit the hot country. Makoto was quickly relocated to what was left of France. Upon arrival she took in her new surroundings. The sun had been blotted out and the air was filled with dust. Before the world realized just how dangerous this area was, the medics were there to help the hazmat team encase anything went even more wrong and of course, they did. People started dropping like flies and presenting advanced signs of cancers and other diseases the medical professionals had never seen before. Makoto was one of a few who survived. She found that she had an affinity for electricity. The small group agreed not to stay together, to try and make it on their own. It was a choice of suicide after all they had experienced. Makoto left the area and went to southern Africa to help those in need. After working with a certain tribe she found that her supplies were getting dangerously low. As a result she traveled with the help of the locals to Cape Verde, the closest well populated 'city' with good medical supplies.
Other: She carries a metal rod with her as her main weapon of choice.
