As a small note for everyone, I personally prefer to carve out a slightly different version of the characters rather than stick doggedly to what has been established in the canon.

No! I refuse! The secret to creative writing is to ensure that everything remains exactly the same 100% of the time, thus preventing any flexible thinking or alternative interpretations! You should go to Hell for thinking that way!

....

Is my sarcasm thick enough? It's always hard to tell on the internet when one's sarcasm is thick enough to see that it isn't genuine.

I think most (if not everyone) would be on the same page with that. That's the great thing about comic characters, they lend themselves pretty well to multiple variant/original takes on their characterization because they've been handled differently by so many writers and their canon history is already all over the place :P

<Snipped quote by Roosan>
P.S. @Ruby changed the B:TAS-esque red sky image on the first page of the OOC and I'm still trying to convince her to change it back....>.>

*whispers* also helps for comic book new comers like little ol' me whose run mainly on shows and extensive research over the Internet (I intend to read the batman wiki article on Tim in its entirety very soon). But Ruby stifled any worries before they got too big while establishing some Tim things via PM. :o

(Just anytime you cringe at my portrayal of Tim, tell me and I'll reevaluate how I perceive him. I wanna make him my own, but I also wanna stay true to who he is at his core)

Reasons I maintain there should be a sarcasm font type, because italics just doesn't give enough emphasis to properly convey the levels of sarcasm I can reach.

Send me a PM and we can hash out some of the details of Eddie and Crane's previous dealings and relationship. I won't be able to answer it until tomorrow though.

@Jinny
I second that proposal, didn't even see that it had changed.

Okay. I'll do so on my lunch break. :)

You're off work in 3 hours. Shouldn't you already be on lunch now, or have it done? O.o

Mother's Day rush + lots of bagging = I didn't get my first break until almost 3:00. So I pushed out my lunch. XP

That definitely makes Damian much easier to play, for sure.

Might throw in my ring with Azrael, but I have a bit of superhero fatigue at the moment so I'm not sure if I will or not. It's a maybe.

First IC post should come tonight or tomorrow.

For the first time ever in one of my games...I'm not doing the opening post.

So when you see Alfred in the IC, even if it's not me posting it, you know the starting gun as gone off. <3

So...what do I do? Do I skip forward in time?

Also I'm not a huge fan of being controlled, but I'll definitely let it slide in the interest of getting things going.

I deliberately didn't mention Damian more than a little and hopefully didn't make him act out of character, sorry if it's a big thing. And I did do this post at the GM's suggestion, not out of the blue.

But I've no idea what's supposed to happen now, that's @Ruby's territory.

I imagine the Batfamily's gonna wanna pow-wow in the Cave. That's where Huntress will go when she gets the call.

If you'd rather skip an intro and just wait for that, no problem here. But Damian's got Talia's appearance to respond to, Bruce's disappearance, and the fact that the Mansion and Cave are about to get a little crowded. So if you wanted to intro, he's got things to work out and mention that could make for an interesting post.

Huge thanks to @Roosan--Alfred's in really good hands.

Do recall I said I'd give everyone a little time to intro and play in the sandbox before ramping things up. You may feel free to do just that, or just wait until the story gets to you. Entirely up to each player, and how they wanna do things--like I said, I don't try to control characters and scenes as GM as a general rule.

Because nightmares are important.

Though a young Gary Oldman would've made a glorious live action Corinthian.
