A'ight, whateva.. look.. I'm here to say hello and ask a few questions. I RP with a group of advanced roleplayers from.. elsewhere. But trouble has befallen our glorious House (it wus so saed). Bad stuff, trust me. Lots of people were slain, people were hung from their big toes, people's pants were stolen - it was bad. So now I'm here to do a little scouting in the event of a mass exodus. We have an RP that's been running for several years, with a huge lore to its name and dedicated players. It's great. And we have a few others that are new but have so far been going well. We may move those here if we need to in order to preserve them.

But we wanted to know a little about this place. Activity, dos and don'ts, the people, whether you think this place will continue to grow, ect. The goods and the bads, basically. Be honest. If we continue to be persecuted in our homelands, we might move here. But we need to be sure it's the right place.

Greetings and welcome Pepper. Rules are the basic fair you'd find anywhere. They can all be boiled down to don't be a dick. As you may have noticed RPG is open to all genres of RPs. I even just read in todays news post about a new feature for User Created Worlds. So you and yours may even eventually be able to recreate your own RP world in some form for all to enjoy soon. Either way you all are welcomed here. =)

We are here for the long term and the staff takes a light hand so as long as you follow the very basic rules (PG-13 or below on public threads), don't troll etc you should have a blast here. We have, in the past, housed mass exoduses of RPers from elsewhere and lots of talented writers call this place home. We are still developing after a crash so you should see some new features cropping up every now and again. If you have any questions just ask. I hope you find a home here.

How do you mean PG-13 on public forums?

I didn't know we had private forums for anything higher. =p

PMs now function as threads so you can have multiple people in them. So in the PM threads, do as you like. In the Public threads, where minors and guests (such as the google ad people) can read them things must be kept PG-13. Meaning no written out sex scenes (fade them to black or take them to PM), language we are lest strict on, swearing is fine etc. Does this answer you?

Is there anything against violence? Like, descriptive wars where the damage done to individuals is detailed? That would be rather unfortunate, if so. I'm not saying we'd post pictures or something, but I will admit we've all written about warzones in detail, and that usually means going into the damage inflicted to not just the surroundings but the people. It can get a little descriptive sometimes.

I've gone pretty violent in my RPs, it is mostly just sexual words and situations that cause us trouble with the ad-revenue people. So violence is fine.

It does become something of a sticking point. Now, we haven't done a lot of sex scenes, but when they have a place we haven't shied away from them (crotch-headbutting notwithstanding). In truth, it is rare for a full-blown sex scene to happen, but there is plenty of sexual language, nudity, implied sex, vivid violence, cussing, and the like. I would hate to make our RP's PM threads, because they are awesome.

Would it be possible to simply mark our RP's as R rated as a warning for those who might be sensitive?

Can you PM me an example? It is one of those gray areas, this question of what is too much. We are pretty laid back but the site owner has had ad revenue revoked twice and we aim to not have that happen again so he doesn't have to pay out of pocket. So labeling it as R won't help with the Google ad-revenue bots.

What you list, seems fine. The key is not to be graphic or lewd or obvious about it.

That is probably what you can expect. This isn't the norm for most of what we do. In truth, only a small number of us really go that far. I don't find myself very skilled at writing direct sex scenes without them being silly, so I don't so much. Most of what we will bring is violence, suggestive language, and a liberal amount of cussing.

I think you are fine, the violence wasn't bad at all and the sex wasn't too much. I'm going to run it by the other mods but I honestly think you are good to go. I'll let you know what the final say is.
