I practice Kickboxing and a bit of BJJ and Luta Livre. They are martial arts/sports where very minor injuries like bruises and cuts are common. The pain doesn't bother me much but they do look somewhat unprofessional, so I wanted to know if any of you guys had some wisdom to share with me.

Is there a quick and safe way to heal bruises and cuts that you know of? If so, please share it with me!

There's no need to clarify this any further, but I'm looking for effective methods of healing and recovery, whether they are extremely common or not is of no concern to me, I really want to see what you guys suggest.

Hmm... That way I won't have anymore bruises....... THAT'S GENIUS! What do I do with my torso though? It's kinda difficult to get a prosthetic torso.

Science will get to it someday.

Someday we shall be able to turn ourselves into Raiden, or Sundowner. Wrestling would be epic then.

Nope.

Basically a bruise is a series of broken blood vessels under the skin. Its your platelets that repair these damages vessels and help in the healing process. You can slightly increase this healing process with a healthy diet of fruit, veggies and protien, but overall it's not going to eliminate injuries in record time.

Except for magic, of course. But we doubt you have access to that.

Make-up. If it's for keeping up appearances at work and you work in a professional setting, that'd be the way to go. If you work at the sort of job where the make-up wouldn't stick, then I'd imagine that same type of work wouldn't mind bruises.

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that before. Thank you for the tip, Vilage!

School of Ennui also helps. If you've got enough contempt for the injury, it'll be as good as healed.

The only sort of make-up we utilize makes people look injured.

Death.

I've heard dying stops your bleeding maybe some minutes later, and your skin pales out a bit if you're short on makeup supplies.

One-time deal, though.

I'm very accident prone and therefore have learned a fair amount of tricks for healing myself. They might not be magical over night fixes but they seem to help.

For cuts, broken, or even dry skin try vitamin E capsules. Available at most grocery and drug stores. Puncture the capsule and put the oily contents on the desired area. Try to do so multiple times a day. Also effective for chapped lips.

For bruises and swelling try Arnica gel and or pills. I know the gel is sold at Walmart, that may or may not be helpful for you depending on where you are. The sooner you apply it the better. I bruise very very easily and I've applied it immediately after bumping into something I know for certain would give me a nasty bruise and it barely bruised at all. Also helps with pain.

For cuts, bruises, pain, swelling, and especially burns aloe is a lifesaver. If you can get a plant and use the fresh leaves it's the best. Simply cut the leaf open and apply the gooy flesh to the desired area. It might be a little gross but it works.

I hope this helps, please let me know what you think!
