So the roster so far: I'm assuming that Dervish is submitting a Kung fu master since he put down h2h twice.

Shaft's(may his shaft ever be monumental) ranger sniper guy
Luminosity's fighter/striker amateur repair woman, breaking stereotypes the world over
penny pinching fat cat
Finch the thief, aspiring murderer
Faruq is a defender or something, and my phone keeps changing his name to Daryl
Gaela, the girl on fire
The token Orc berserker
Well-read wizard/sexy librarian
What is this? A knight of the nine? An alter with a conscious? Isn't pissed at all the human gods? Holy shit. Token elf. Also token religious guy.

GG big bad

Sexy Librarian?????????

I've always wondered what the Vigilant do with Orcs and Dunmer. Most of them worship Malacath and the Reclamations, respectively, which is decidedly Daedra worship. How is that going to work out?

@Hank That's where your use of Mauloch comes in. Seeing as there isnt going to be a dark elf during our RP thats a PC I won't go into far enough detail.

The orcs of the nation of Orsinium do still worship Malacath in a way, but in Orsinium it's spun as Mauloch, the lost elven warrior god Trinimac who was turned into Malacath by the Daedric prince Boethia.

Mauloch has non-deadric connotations in the form of a reborn Trinimac from the Altmeri Pantheon. Whom his followers were twisted and turned into the Orsimer as punishment for wanting to stop the then (Chimer, the dark elves before they were dark elves) from leaving the summerset isles in exodus into Tamriel.

The worship of Trinimac was revived by Gortwog gro-Nagorm, the ruler of the Third Orsinium. While many of those living in the city agreed with his beliefs, the Orcs outside still devoutly worshipped Malacath. (Mind you this is before it was destroyed during that era, but it still qualifies.) The orcs when brought together as a whole in Orsinium. Have always worshiped Trinimac as the true patron of the Orsimer.

"Trinimac the Warrior, the Paragon. Once he was our patron, our god. He encompasses the true ideals of the Orsimer―strength, honor, and unity."

Again, meaning why he would not just go out and the vigil would just raid orcs? Because not enough Vigil, but they would not attack Orsinium because they revered Trinimac a Non-Daedric entity. Same would go for Morrowind, as one knightly order can't stop an entire Provence of Daedra worship. But still able to enforce the secret worship of the more terrible ones (Merunes Dagon, Mephala, Sheogorath, Clavicus Vile, Hircine, Molag Bal, Boethiah, Namira, Nocturnal, Peryite, Vaermina) As well as Vampirism, Lycanthropy, and Necromancy.

Can't ever stop full Daedric worship, but you can put the fear into any that do secretly that any day the Vigil will come to their door. Would stop the whole world ending terror seen Via Oblivion Crisis.

@Hank Hope that cleared things up a little bit :D

TL;DR - Much more dangerous ones to hunt out for, not enough manpower and not worth the time until they start becoming a problem.

Hey faithful minions! IC may be delayed for a bit because life took a giant shit on me and I am in crunch mode to get an 180 question home exam finished and prepare for returning to work after months of surgical recovery on Tuesday.

In the mean time, let's do a little exercise: based off of each other's character sheets, what opinions does your character have of the others, and how do you expect things to develop as a party?

"I am convinced that Cedric is going to drag and rape me in the middle of the woods."
"Nevermind, that honor goes to Brynn."
"At least the Orc would kill me before he rapes me."
"I think Fiona would understand better than anyone, she was as much a victim of the Dominion as I am, but she came out of it for the better. I envy her."
"Gaela is incredible, I have nothing but respect for the world's healers. I could have taken the same path, had I not thought the Nine abandoned me."
"Cyrendil is an altmer. Maybe I could look past that to see the good he has done. Maybe. It's best he doesn't learn the path I've chosen, though."
"Berich... Pockets too swollen for his own good. Maybe he won't miss just a couple of septims."
"I like Faruq. I like listening to his stories. Being an adventure was always a thing of dreams."
"Kirrala is what I would've been. I was on the way to the college. Except I probably would have looked dorky in robes."

@ConstableWalrus Yes, it does. Thanks!

@Dervish Alright then, as follows.

Cedric: "Big talk for a coward with a bow. He might be bigger than the rest but he's still a runt. I could crush him... and I just might."

Brynn: "Ha, that hill-midget? I could take him, but I don't trust him at all. It's in his eyes... he's war-crazy. Pathetic."

Fiona: "Nice sword for such a little girl. I like that. She looks like a fighter. Still, she's soft and squishy and young and not one of Malacath's children. There would be no place for her in a proper army."

Gaela: "Well... I suppose she's a good alchemist, I won't deny that, but the rest of her flashy cantrips won't save her when orichalcum is drawn. Witches get stitches."

Finch: *raucous laughter*

Cyrendil: "I fucking hate elves, and all that holier-than-thou Vigil nonsense is ridiculous. The Nine Divines are cunts and he's a cunt."

Berich: "... I don't know what to make of him. He's a coward and weakling but there's something about him. I bet the fucker was born under the Serpent."

Faruq: "Proper warrior and he's a Redguard. Dangerous men. He could be a good fight, but all that armor won't stop me from eviscerating him. What I think of him as a person? Oh, excuse me, let me explain -- he's a naive twat."

Kiralla: "Hmph. Another witch and she's even smaller than the last one. I didn't know that was possible. That's what you get for not eating enough meat. Either way, all that stuff she does with soul gems is unnatural and I don't care for it."

As requested, for Fiona...

Cedric: "Seems more like a Nord than a Breton to me. He likes to talk, though I bet he can back it up. A bit crude, but it's not like I'm much better. I get the feeling he never had it easy."

Brynn: "Heard about some of the things he's done. Sounds like his own men tried to give him what he deserved. Bandits, killing and destroying for just coin. It's despicable."

Maulakanth: "I don't think my opinion here matters. I doubt I'd last ten seconds against him."

Gaela: "I think she'll be good to have around. In fact, she doesn't seem like she belongs with the rest. She doesn't strike me as a killer."

Cyrendil: "Can't say I trust the elf. I doubt he's a spy, being with the religious warrior type and all, but still... you'll forgive me if I don't turn my back to him."

Finch: "I detest thieves. But I suppose he saw no other options. Still, he should try to make something better of himself, while he has time."

Berich: "Just as much a thief as a pickpocket. Ugh, even if he doesn't look like it, he's slimy. I don't think we could be more different."

Faruq: "He's kind of charming, isn't he? I love stories, he's a skilled warrior, and he's definitely seen much more of the world than I have. I hope I can learn from him."

Kiralla: "Not the most open person, but she seems like quite the skilled mage. I get the feeling that there's a lot to her that she doesn't show too easily."

"By the mercy of Stendarr, I'm surrounded by spoiled Children... Divines grant me some patience."

Cedric: "He boasts, but it is in the nature of Men. Were I to boast of Two-Hundred years it'd drive him to throw himself off the nearest cliff. But out of cautions sake, as long as he has the Brynn with him they cannot be trusted."

Brynn: "Thick as a tangled net, him and Cedric... Reckless and far too sneaky for my tastes. I prefer the hunter, at least he speaks where he stands."

Maulakanth: "You can trust the Orsimer to fall into one of two categories. Loyal and Honorable... Or self-destructive and impulsive. How I wish this one fell towards the former."

Finch: "Plenty like him, used to see them around the docks at night. Sleeping where they could. I pity him, it is a hard life indeed but one if he put the effort in he could pull himself free of."

Macer: "Reminds me of the men who used to sell false Daedric wards after the Oblivion Crisis. Manipulative, can't trust this one. I'll keep my eye on him.

Faruq: "He has no idea what he has thrown himself into. Stendarr keep the young fool from thrusting himself on the nearest sword until he's at least learned he should be at home, not chasing stories."

Fiona: "I appreciate the fact she speaks plainly, unlike half the current party. And with enough mind to silence herself unlike the Orsimer... But far too young to be in this life just like the rest."

Kiralla: "Conjuration... a deadly game one plays with Daedra and in violating death. I will keep my eye on her, it's a thin line she toes. And if she crosses it, Stendarr have mercy on her... For she will receive none from me."

Gaela: "Nice enough I suppose, always good to see those take restoration. But she tends to get lost in her own mind, dangerous enough by itself but with these killers? Have to add another too the watch list."

I seen men and women just like these. Killed some, fucked some, laughed with some. A lot of them were the same who left me bleeding on that fucking road...

Cedric, his fucking accent is grating and it only sounds worse when he's bragging about this or that. Bigger than me, sure, but so was Ingvar and a dozen others you never hear much about anymore. A good man with a bow, though, friendly enough and he drinks like a man who was nursed on ale. I like him. Reminds me a bit of Karling.

I knew a girl like Fiona, scrappy little lass. Any woman that can spit at my feet and look me in the eyes is one worth having around. She's got a knife-tongue and speaks sharp words. She'd best stay careful lest she cut her throat on them.

Now, Berich. He's a man with deep pockets. The ones with money always have a few left over for the ones with the knives. I think I'll talk to this man more often.

There was one among my band just like Finch. Quick fingers and stringy as all the hells. Beggars have their purposes, toss a coin and lend an ear, you'll know all sorts of things. But Finch, you can see it hiding in the corners of his eyes. There's a pain there.

Ah, the Bone Knight. I like his pretty sword, I like his pretty stories, I don't like his ugly habit. I knew a man who ate the sugar. Knifed him when he tried to do me the favor. But he's a lad chasing stories and a name. I was him once. Once. Follow the fighter's path long enough and you'll end up here, lad.

Greenfingers. What can I say about young little Greenfingers? She stares off into the world often, she has a brightness that only those who haven't crawled through a shit life had. Heard she was here because she tried to fix the world. Now she knows the thanks that the world gives her for good deeds. She'd do good to take it right to heart.

Maulakanth. He's big. Too big. But big men sleep heavy.

Kiralla's got her head in her books too often. I had to learn her name by listening to the guards who dragged her in and we've still barely shared a word.

Oh, Stendarr have mercy on this and that, Auriel's light shine on whatever the fuck. Whenever a knife-ear does something, they always think they're the gods' gift to it. Auriel's light shine on my arse, Grayfhar.

I always like these exercises. It gets us a bit in-character before the IC launches and its always good fun. Looking forward to the actual character interactions, especially with those talking to Brynn. Brynn's a nice enough man in his own way, honest, it's just that he's just as likely to smile at you than cut you. Earning your keep living with a fighting band and keeping two dozen of the same rabble listening to you will do that to you.

@Leidenschaft I agree, Can't imagine it's any different then fighting Daedric worshiping bastards for over two centuries. Each has their own reason for being who they are. Fun to explore, hell he might end up liking him in a way. Though hard to tell right now :P

Berich's first impressions, with love

Cedric: Great, a Breton whose ego is as big as his brutish physique. I get it, because I'm some soft Imperial citizen he thinks he's better than me. It's true, I can't lift things up and put them down like he can. Truly an irreplaceable talent.

Brynn: I'll be honest, I don't know what to make of this guy. I've learned from my dealings even the most despicable bandits can be good, reliable folk. He seems like someone who could be for hire too, which is something I'll have to watch out for.

Fiona: Oh, a do-good optimist. Reminds me of the people I ruined back in the City. They're always the easiest targets. People like me just don't factor into their world view.

Finch: Ew, a hobo. He says he's from the Imperial City. Strange, because I swear I used to work with a woman named Finch in my old bank... can't be the same family, I'm sure.

Faruq: Oh, a young man who has spent his life fighting the Dominion. How... inconvenient. Better not let slip how I was a Thalmor agent in my spare time until we're at the point in our friendship where it will be a bonding experience.

Gaela: Ooh, someone who I'm taller than. Note to self: stand close to Gaela.

Maulakanth: Well would you look at that, someone shat my breeches while I was busy looking at this walking mountain.

Kiralla: You know, when I was a boy I always dreamed of being a conjurer. I wonder if she'd teach me anything? Plus, strangely enough, this one is the only one in the group I don't mind myself irrationally disliking. Maybe it's because I'm taller than her.

Cyrendil: Ooh, a geriatric paladin rounds out the group, yay! I'm a little offended. I count Vampires, Necromancers and Lycanthropes among my closest of friends.

Finally post my sheet in the character tab. <3

In coming judgemental remarks!

"They're all c-criminals."

Cedric: "A hunter? He-he'll have one less mou-mouth to feed. I hate red me-meat."

Brynn: "He's got s-some nasty scars. Men of war ar-are more insatiable than skooma addicts. Murderers cannot be tru-trusted."

Maulakanth gro-Urgak: "He... is v-very big. I wonder if-if I could convince him to test Furgur Blitzcloud's stability."

Faruq: "He-He strikes an interesting profile. I-I hope he is from-from Hammerfell. I have only heard of stories fr-from my father. S-so rarely have I met ot-other Redguard men or women from Hammerfell."

Fiona: "I find it-it easier to trust a blu-blunt opinion as opposed to a thinly veiled o-one. Of all the fighting force he-here I-I find myself trusting he-her intentions."

Gaela: "A-ah an alchemist. I-I-I-I-I... Dam-damnit. this is not the time no-nor place to develop a c-c-c-crush. At least the healing du-duties will be-be split. I-I would love to talk to her."

Cyrendil: "Tch Vigilants. They hamper and dog the school of Conjuration at e-every turn. This will be the per-perfect opportunity to flex my debate skills."

Pharasius: "I feel pi-pity for the young man. Life has tw-twisted him. It-it is difficult not to recognize my own reflection of survival in his eyes."

Berich: "Barters and charms better than a-any merchant with-with ambition to match. The-there is respect in e-earning a silvertongue. I wouldn't be caught dead trying to-to make a de-deal with him."
