It is usually tied together is some sort of knot or braid, sometimes she adorns it with flowers. Her eyes are dark brown, and her face is often covered in war-paint to make herself look more fierce.
Height - 5,6" Weight - 135lbsApparel - Inola wears very traditional tribe clothing, all made out of animal hides and furs. She wears a light linen shirt and a heavier garment on top of it, if it's winter she will also be wearing some sort of fur coat. Her pants are only knee-long, which she finds to be more comfortbale when hunting. Her bow and arrows are straped to her back, and she often wears leather armbands instead of jewellry.
Weaponry - Wooden bow and steel-tipped arrows, tools to make traps, navaja knife, little hatchet.
Equipment - Inola travels very lightly, only carrying tools to make traps, a 1,5L canteen, some meat and a flint to create fires with her. She did have a horse, but she does not know where it is now that she has been taking prisoner.
Skills- The Hunter - Inola is very skilled at tracking her prey through the wild, no matter if animal or human, while keeping herself concealed.
- Natural remedy - She might not be a doctor, but growing up in a tribe has taught her a few things about medicinal plants and cures.
- Fly, my arrow - Learning how to use a bow ever since she was a little child, Ilona has become a very effective markswoman, exceling at long-range encounters.
Flaws - Inola has always lived in a small tribe, which means her knowledge of the "modern and civilized" world is very limited. Being a native American, she is often the target of attacks and sexual harassment, an outsider wherever she goes. Her weaponry is also not as modern as a gun, possibly putting her at a disadvantage in some firefights.
Personality - The young Inola has two very distinct sides to her, depending the situation she is in. Normally, she is a rather wild child, someone who is constantly talking and gossiping with her friends. She likes to have fun, to ride her horse through the plains without a care in the world. Inola is also very curious about nature and animals, which often leads her to explore new places whenever she can. She is somewhat of a hot-head, and very stubborn once she has set her mind on a certain goal.
However, when Inola is on the hunt, her personality undergoes a major change. She becomes a very calm and collected person, always on high-alert and concentrated on locating and finishing off her prey. The unmature Inola transforms into a disciplined warrior when the situation requires it, although if things get hectic, her hot-head, wild personality will shine through again.
Her relationship with the "modern and civilized" world is complicated to describe. On one hand, her curiosity pushes her to find out more about the life and culture of the modern small towns, especially their many interesting-looking inventions and tools. On the other hand, she is fully aware of what the native American tribes had to go through, and meets every non-indian with her fair share of mistrust and cautiousness.
Backstory - Inola was born into a small tribe within the Cherokee group and has spent all her life with them. Her mother died during childbirth, which only left her father and grandmother to care for her. Her father being a hunter, Inola was soon introduced to the use of a bow, already accompanying him on hunts at the age of 9. She has always been a wild child, one of those who spends all day running around and causing much trouble as possible, but her charm and sympathy made her a well-liked person within the tribe. She soon discovered her love for riding horses as well, chosing to go on little exploration trips whenever she was allowed.
At the age of 14, Inola became a hunter for her tribe, her mission being to keep the group well-fed and supplied with furs and hides to make clothes and other stuff. She enjoyed the hunt, it was then that she felt most connected to nature. Her life consisted pretty much of that, hunting and living in the tribe, for the next few years. Attacks by the white men happened every now and again, but her tribe got pretty lucky and did not suffer any major tragedies. However, during one attack when she was 19, her father was fataly wounded during an ambush. Inola and the tribe elders did their best to treat the dying man, but their efforts were in vain.
The death of her father caused her a lot of sadness, as well as anger for the people terrorizing her tribe and kin. She knew that not everyone was like that, but certainly a majority did have some sort of problem with the indians. It was that night that she took a person's life for the first time, after she had tracked down a small group of the attacker back to their camp. There were only 3 of them, standing around a campfire in the middle of the night. It was easy, the darkness conceiled her perfectly, and her prey never ever seen the arrows come flying. Tempted to pursue a life of revenge and blood, Inola decided to put that thought away in the end. Her tribe needed her, and she was not going to let them down.
A few weeks ago, on a regular hunting mission, Inola's fate however took another turn. She was tracking a deer through the forest, when she noticed a set of voices coming from not too far away. Intrigued by what might be going on, she decided to investigate. It turned out to be a small group of thugs, who had an elderly couple tied up and gagged. There was also a horse-carriage standing around, and Inola assumed the thugs had stopped the couple on it and were robbing them. She decided to intervene, taking out one of the thugs with her bow...but his companion was a quick, and the bullet he shot went right through her shoulder. Inola collapsed, pain spreading throughout her whole body, unable to move or get away. She was captured, tied up like the couple, and right there she thought her life was over. Oh, how she now wished that had been true.
Instead of killing her like the old couple, the men thought she was too pretty and unspoiled to let her go to waste like that. Instead, they decided to take their turns having fun, putting young Inola through hell. They eventually decided to take her back to Soursprings, maybe to use her a few more times before killing her off for good. This has been going on for 3 days now, which to Inola have felt like an eternity.
All she does is lay there, waiting, hoping for the chance to break free and get her revenge.
