Sven the Silent The far-left-social-authoritarian

Banned Seen 8 yrs ago

A little while ago, the participants of the chat all engaged in a political test to determine where they stood on the political ladder, in the most accurate way I have seen so far. For most of the people on the Guild, or atleast the Guild chat, they tend to lean towards the left side and favour Libertarianism over Authoritarianism. So far, over twenty people have taken the test and it has been suggested to me that I create a thread specifically for this, hence i've done just that. The results are in the link below. I will also provide a link to the test so others can participate.

Imigur album: imgur.com/a/aFDNH

Political test: gotoquiz.com/politics/political-spectr..

Feel free to post the results in the thread and I will add you to the album at some point.

Apparently I'm a "center-left moderate social authoritarian."

@Kurai Assassin Your link doesn't appear to be working. It's best to link the image directly or to upload the image to say Imigur and link that instead.

Some of the questions are a bit off though. For instance, the immigration question is posed as free market, which is interesting. I suspect most people aren't thinking about the free market when they decide their opinion on immigration.

I thought I'd be a bit more authoritarian to be honest, but whatever, I'm nice and close to the middle.

I think these questions are a bit America-centric, and you're going to get skewed results from non-Americans. At it happens, I took another compass test on a different site, and was in the direct center of the chart. This one has put me in the libertarian left.

Questions 14, 15, and 16 are completely irrelevant to Canada, for example!

Edit: And the question about state-funded radio is skewed too. Canada only needs state-funded radio because its next to America, which I don't think needs state-funded radio.

I believe this is a leftover from that era when American libertarians were using online political testing to recruit, hence the somewhat odd questions

Haha that would make sense. I've seen a lot of these compass tests, and this one doesn't strike me as the most professional.

Well, since the rise of Trump, it seems like libertarians are going the way of the dodo.

They were always something of a minority. Ron Paul never real got within striking distance of the nomination either.
