I feel like the general mood of the RP is reflective of your mood as a GM. You don't seem to have a notion for where you want it to go, and you seem to easily get upset with how its progressing. I think your own lack of confidence is flowing over into the RP, and not everyone is able to do the massive collabs, so they feel left out.

I'd agree with that sentiment. Like right now I'm trying to think of some replies with Light, but I'd only be able to get a paragraph or two.

@Morose That is a point, and I've gotten complains about that collab thing.

So I'll tag everyone in when I announce about a titanpad, as for me being easily upset, that's a point.

I advise starting a regular PM with your Co-GM (if you haven't already) and brainstorming some ideas. :) See where things take you. And then, don't get frustrated. I've published books, and let me tell you, you can't give up when things don't go your way. Work around it, and you'll be surprised!

you published books? Thats neat. I'm not good enough or consistant enough with my writing to start that xD. I'm still trying to find my groove. I'm starting to move into trying to have more of a Terry Pratchet groove I think, but I don't know how close I am to that.

And yeah Chao, cheer up and be upbeat and things go far. I've seen a few buddies of mine take over a topic when the GM abandoned it and kept it going for double its original lifespan or more just by being upbeat.

If the roleplay ever does die out. I do have another Guardians roleplay idea.

I'll call it either Guardians: Secret Wave or Guardians: Classified. Basically it takes place a little after this roleplay. Except it's a secret team only known to very few lead by David, known as the Secret Wave of Gifted take top secret missions like taking down a terrorist army before that army is actually even worldwide known.

Or stopping people who plan to make a war between Gifted and humans.

Or taking down villains like this team. Except, they cover their tracks where ever they go. You can use the same characters from this roleplay, but it would be advised to be a new character if you were from this one. Giving you a new experience.

Then when that roleplay has its ending or dies out. A prequel to Secret Wave and Next Wave will be made. You probably already are thinking of the name for the prequel. Guardians: First Wave was the first attempt to make superheroes out of the Gifted. This ended horribly, with most of them dying or turning to villains. Or possibly going M.I.A.

@Chaotic Chao, being GM isn't about just playing your character. You need to play the scenario, tell us where we are, what we can do, what effect our actions have had on NPCs. You need to provide direction, RPs slow down because we don't know what we can do next.

We want to do something, to entertain ourselves we're currently playing paintball and exploring our powers which should last a little while, but probably not long. You should use this time work out what you want us all to do next, a short mission I suggest.

You need to be constantly thinking about next, but next in this RP. I do not want to hear about what you're going to do after this RP.

She speaks and acts as though she just joined up and was never isolated from society. This is all still mostly a secret so I doubt that emailing a request for a Gifted would be a wise choice.

I can understand having an upbeat attitude but it appears to me that there may be some disconnect as far as setting is concerned. I could be wrong though.

From my pov I figured Shelly was previously recruited before the current members were. Its why she seems more relaxed about this situation since she's used to it and also passed the initial growing pains of this. Of course, we can also see that Shelly has some personal issues in how she sees herself, but does try to ignore in favor of a more upbeat attitude. Ignoring important issues behind a veneer of silliness isn't an unusual character trait especially these days.
