Evolution, evolution is the key to survival. It is the way us humans adapt to new ways of life. Evolution is slow, it takes more than one thousand years for humans and creatures to evolve. And humans have evolved.
Two years ago, a wave field of radiation had hit Earth. It gave people with special genes powers that you could not believe. Humanity was scared of these people and shunned them, they hated these new type of people. These people are giving many different titles, from Superhuman to Evolved Ones. But their real title is the Gifted. There are roughly over 1,000 of the Gifted in the Earth's population.
Most of these beings hate humanity for shunning them, doing unspeakable things and choosing evil over good. Unfortunately, most of the Gifted do hate humanity and think humanity is beneath them. Then there are heroes, who believe in peace. People that think the Gifted and the humans and co-exist.
A man walks up to your high security cell. The door opens as you look up at one of the prison officers and the man. "You sure you want to recruit this one?" the guard asks. The man nodded. This stranger wore a formal suit and tie, his brown hair was combed back and seemed to be in his 40s or so.
"I know you've had an rough life. But I'm giving you an offer, you see...I'm making a team of heroes." He says. You look up at him like he's crazy. Heroes have no chance against the villains out there. He seems to know what you're thinking. "I know you think I'm nuts. But I believe in a second chance, I'm offering you one. To use your powers for good."
A second chance. Maybe you can finally get out of the prison, maybe live outside a cell. You look up back at the man. If this earns you freedom, you'll take it. This man may be nuts in thinking he could make a hero out of young person like you, but you'll still be free.
You shake his hand, and the guard lets you out of your cell with him. Now, the story begins.
Hello, everybody! Welcome to the Guardians roleplay. I really hope you liked intro, anyways let me give you the rules and the character sheet. ^.^
Now, here are the rules.
1. GM and co-GM's words are law.
2. No killing off other characters.
3. Not too OP powers, ex: Quantum powers.
4. No fighting out of the roleplay. Please do it somewhere else, or don't do it all.
5. PLEASE play attention to everybody's post, don't just write something that has nothing to do with the actual story or what everyone else is doing.
6. Have fun!
7. I do realize romance will probably be a part of this, just make sure it doesn't break the rules. The RPG rules are that sequel content is not allowed on forums, so you could do it in a fade to black sequence or just make out and imply sex. Just think of it like PG-13 sex.
