What I find stranger is how multiple characters have assumed the spider girl is a child.

The temptation to have Saffron have been Alice Cooper aged before being set on fire is huge. >.>

It's because she looks (the image you chose) and acts like a child.

Totally different character that doesn't look like a child, though. Just small. I'm glad to know that the number one criteria for adulthood is not freaking out about apparently dying and being turned into another species. O_o

It's just that all the assumptions people who have been turned into lizards and cats and things are making about the age of others is frankly hilarious. And inevitably someone treating an imp like a child but being told that they're nearly 70 would be amusing.

Now, I'm not trying to start anything or something, but I'm honestly finding it a bit stranger that Ariana is assuming you have to be externally freaking out to be 'freaking out'.

Everyone 'freaks out' in different ways. Someone can very well freak out like she is. They panic. Some get snarky, defensive, or use words and bravado to mask their uncertainty. Some may become quiet, and try to rationalize things.

Point is, there is no clear definition for how one should be 'freaking out'. Everyone reacts differently to things like this. In Neix's case, she's internalizing everything. Which is bad, because at some point, she's probably going to snap at someone like she just did at Ariana.

The fact that Arianna is kinda...throwing a temper tantrum and accusing people that aren't acting like she is, aren't freaking out on some level, is kind of a childish trait. Which means, it's not to much of a stretch for people to assume she's a kid.

[*While Amelia sits off in a corner, dozing off while everyone is screaming at each other, completely unaware of the whole situation XD She'll notice eventually, then I can queue a mental breakdown.]

That's pretty much the definition of panic, not a tantrum. It's an appropriate response. So many characters are totally blasé about being dead. Also the room full of corpses.

Which is making replying pretty hard, since so much of the cast seems to have no sympathy for anyone that doesn't have the ability to control their emotions of a first responder. That and, even if I come up with a reason to swimmingly ignore the field of corpses, I am terrible at exploring,

Well, we'll just have to have different definitions of an appropriate response and what defines 'panicking'.

Honestly speaking, I don't think most people would be panicking all that much about this. Not yet at least. They haven't really have a whole lot of time to ponder being 'dead' yet. As in, something perhaps similar to a state of shock. From what I gathered, for a lot it was just like waking up from a brief nap.

Plus, they're surrounded by other people. Being surrounded by other people tends to have a bit of a calming effect on others, since even if they're in a completely foreign environment there's still something...sorta familiar there.

But I will agree, for the most part a lot of the cast seems to be rather...okay with this sudden turn of events and holding together fairly well. But well, then again this is the sort of RP where everyone isn't surprised by anything and 100% anime badass.

So I can't really fault them here.

@Lugia Can you please break your posts up more? They're really hard to read without any paragraphing.

Or I could just use color for my character's speech, right?

Wouldn't that be more work than just inserting line breaks twice...?

Not really.

Edit: So... is that any better? Should I change it, still?

Well, it breaks it up a little. Still inferior to paragraphing because I am a grammar pedant, but it's easier to go through. XD

Well, at least you can read it, now.
I'd rather go with that 'cause I only ever write one paragraph, and if I broke that up, my post would look absolutely pathetic, lol.

I am always in favour of more paragraphs over fewer. TOPICS ARE A NUANCED THING! xD

We have moved one room only. Your character has had to get used to having no bones, muscles, or differentiated tissues at all. That's a pretty big jump to make. Why would it be too late? I think someone joined yesterday... @_@

Well, that's a normal reaction. My character stays behind to comfort the spider girl... she teleports to the next room.

Interested in playing the 'powerhouse' as either an earth elemental or as a fawn with dreams of minotaurdom.
