Let's just say every attempt America tried to make a live-action movie out of an animanga franchise

Ahem. Well if cartoon-turned-movies like Transformers and Last Airbender have the respective fans cringing hard, I present you:

DRAGON BALL

Just no.

(Side note: while Scarlett Johansson isn't a bad actress, I just can't erase the image of Black friggin' Widow pretending to be Makoto Kusanagi. So yeah not really looking forward to the US' take on Ghost in the Shell.)

Let's be honest here, Japan doesn't do much better on that front. Have you SEEN the live action Attack on Titan? It makes the anime look good.

@Fabricant451 Attack on Titan is a bad example. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But in all honesty, anime (or even some video games) should stay as they are meant to be. Even if someone has the money and manpower to dump in loads of ridiculous CGI... just to make me go blind with the flash bangs.

(Unless it's something like FF7 Advent Children level. The graphics, action and music somewhat made up for the non-existent plot... yeah.)

Anyone ever heard of Fateful Findings? It's... something. It makes Birdemic look like a cinematic masterpiece. Seriously, the director, Neil Breen, could be Tommy Wiseau's long lost brother considering their acting skills. If you want to watch a movie in which there is a lot of abuse towards computers, hilarious special effects, actors more wooden than Alan Bagh (Rod from Birdemic), and a plot that is very similar to that of his other two movies, you won't be disappointed by this.

There is no other argument. It's been called the 'Citizen Kane of bad movies'. It's filled with plot holes and inconsistencies, there's a bizarre amount of sex scenes and the soundtrack is terrible. The acting is more wooden than the set pieces.

First piece of evidence. "I DID NAUGHT HIT HER, I DID NAAAAUGGGHHHTTT. Oh hi Mark."

Second piece of evidence. "Dahnt tauch me motduhfucka, get outt." "cheep cheep cheep cheep"

Third piece of evidence

Tommy Wiseau (the black haired vampire looking guy) wrote, directed, produced and starred in it. He somehow came up with $6 million for the budget of the film, an amount he still hasn't explained how he got. No one knows where he came from, his accent makes no sense. I personally think he's a hardcore character actor who went to deep into his created character. It's so bad it's good. Seth Rogan and James Franco are making a film about the making of it.

I agree with this one, and probably you have to throw in......

But please don't forget...

@Graviloquence I do think to keep it fair, films like bridemic and fateful findings shouldnt qualify because they dont get a cinematic release.

But I think this counts.

As a person who appreciates a good historical series every so often, this robin hood themed one was rather insulting.
-Historical accuracy for such a movie sucked.
-I was under the assumption it would be something similar to the Spartacus series or something of that nature. Struck me as a little kid show.
-My household got cancer and I was banned from suggesting movies for 3 weeks straight. We couldn't get past the first couple episodes of season 2. We've shrugged through some crap, but we couldn't handle this one.
-Not believable characters, few attempts at even dressing right, cheese grew off the screen, arrows that hit 100% correctly every time. That last one feeds into my peeve of action movies in general - if it can't be done by people and isn't backed up with a very clear and strong historical precedence, it irritates me greatly. Fire a regular arrow and literally hit two guards at the same time after shooting through a thin rope at a distance perfectly without much prep and then wiping out the guard to make an escape on an improvised zipline? NOPE.

I've seen bad movies, and while this probably isn't the worst I've seen, this one (ok, series) does take a special place on the list for being my example about everything wrong with action industry logic. Some people like those things, but for whatever reason, they piss me off.

But then, you'll find me complaining about particulars of all sorts of things if I get started. So I'll leave the subject at that.

I have to say it's a tie between the movies Dragonball Evolution and The Room. Both of them have next to no redeemable qualities but DBZ is arguably worse since it ruins an existing series so so horribly.

Oh god DB: Evolution!

I cringed so hard during that movie. What were they thinking? Who signed off on that script?
I feel sorry for James Marsters though. Apparently he and his son sat down and watched all of Dragonball, Z and GT in order to get to know the source material and prepare for the role. Then he had to star in that cinematic turd.

Honestly, the unofficial Taiwanese adaptation from the late 80's was more faithful to the original story.

Troll 2 DOES have a documentary all about how bad it is so that might be the winner.

But then, The Room has an upcoming movie about the book about how bad The Room was so it's bout even.

The 2nd Mortal Kombat movie. It was a total joke compared to the first who was actually pretty cool.

A better example however would be Street Fighter. It was a shame that two great actors like Van Damme and Raul Julia were associated with this POS movie. Julia in particular since this was his last film before he died.

Yeah but it wasn't as if Raul Julia was a stranger to bad movies

@Wade Wilson Oh God. One of the most infamous rotten movies ever existed.

Lemme also throw in Charlie's Angels. "Char-lie~" *coughcoughcough*

...Also, this is quite recent I know but X-Men: Apocalypse totally ruined the little thread of any feeling I had for the franchise for me. Glaring plot holes everywhere and it's so retarded that made me wanted to blast the screen with a nuke. (This is my own personal opinion so don't argue with me.)

Speaking of 20th Century Fox fuck-ups, here ya go!

For X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I think the scene that got us all was this:

Actually I kind of enjoyed X-Men Origins: Wolverine, probably because i'm a Wolverine fan. But that Fantastic 4 movie was total crap. And since when did Human Torch became black?

Since someone dipped him in a tin of black paint 20th Century Fox said so. You must have diversity in your film, you must!
