Hey, I didn't know where to put this so here it is.
I'm going to create a RP but I don't know where to put it. It will be Medium/High Free/Low Casual and because it's in between the two, I don't know where to put it. I want at least 3/4 sentences/small paragraph in each post, a good grasp on grammar/spelling/punctuation and I will occasionally be posting long posts to add to the plot/story. I posted the interest check in the Free Interest Check bit, but yeah. Anyone make a deciding vote for me?
Casual tends to grab a more broad audience and more folks, if that's any consideration, and given the section descriptions yours is probably more along the lines of casual anyways.
@Sovay I took a look at the Interest Check - from what you have down there and what you are saying here I would run it as a High Free to start. If it goes well and takes off with the posts getting longer and the story getting more in-depth over time; then I would suggest running a part two perhaps and recruiting new people in the casual section for that part of it. This way you can get your toes wet as it were, work out kinks and such before moving it over. You may find you want to include things like a map or the camp or a CS before heading over to casual. The looser the plot and the less you have the more likely it will do better in Free than in Casual. Remember you can always reboot or host a part two in a different section. For now, with what you have I would suggest Free. But in the end it is what you feel most comfortable with and where you think the RP itself will excel.
This is what I would be posting when making the actual RP Topic:
Backstory
In this world there are two species. The Humans, and the Extraordinaries. The Extraordinaries are just like Humans, except they possess gifts, abilities, supernatural powers - whatever you wish to call it, this is what makes them Extraordinary. There are very, very few Extraordinaries compared to Humans, but their numbers are growing. Some Humans accept them, and welcome them... But some, do not. You are about to enter the small city of Parathia, where Humans live in peace. On the edge of this city, in cabins, live a group of Extraordinaries. They're part of a Summer Camp, and have owned these cabins for a number of years now and appear every year in the summertime. This year, there have never been so many attending the Summer Camp. What will they get up to?
Location
The City: Parathia
The City of Parathia is a small, traditional place. It is surrounded by high hills, wooded areas and a lake. In the City there is a Library, a School, a University, many quaint cafés, pubs, shops, a cinema, a church, and a Market which sells fresh fruit and vegetables. As you can see, there is also a castle. This castle looks over the city, and the owner is currently unknown. No one has been seen going in, or out of the castle, but it has been inaccessible to the public for a number of years now. Like with any city, there are the rich, the poor and some in the middle. The rich tend to live in the middle-centre of the city in big, fancy houses. The people who are averagely wealthy tend to live on the outskirts-middle of the city in smaller houses. The poor live wherever they choose in the city, but they can't afford much - often it's a run-down apartment block, or an abandoned small home, or perhaps even just the streets. In the hills to the left of the city, is a farm, and on the hills to the right of the city, lies an odd prehistoric monument. Otherwise, not much else can be found in the hills other than the odd trees, wildlife and lots and lots of grass. The wooded area surrounds the city, and also separates the city from the campsite. In order to get to the campsite, you have to go through the thick, dark woods on a disused dirt track. The wooded area surrounds the city, and is very easy to get lost in. Rumour has it, that there is a wooden shack of a house in the woods somewhere - only the very few have been able to find it. Finally the lake is home to many fish and other wildlife. You may take one of the three, small, wooden boats out onto the lake - but make sure you don't fall in. At night, many fireflies come out and fly over the lake, making the scenery most beautiful.
The Campsite
This is the campsite of the Summer Camp. There are 10 log cabins and a larger main cabin, there's a small shed with various games and equipment in there (E.G. Cricket bats, balls, etc.), . The campsite is situated through the woods, a little way off the lake. It surrounded by wooded area the whole way around. From the campsite it takes 3 minutes to get to the lake, 10 minutes to get to the closest edge of the city, 15 minutes to get to the centre of the city and 21 minutes to get to the other side of the city. If you wish to go further than the city (to the hills), it takes about half an hour - and yes, you have to walk everywhere. In the main cabin is a; kitchen area, dining area, lounge area. In each of the 10 log cabins there is; either a double bed or a bunk bed (2 people per cabin), a sofa, a wardrobe for each person and an en suite containing a sink, toilet and shower. (Various toiletries, like towels, will be provided.)
Characters
*I don't mind if there are no Humans in this RP, they're just there if anyone fancies doing something a little different.*
Extraordinaries
Extraordinaries are just like Humans, except with a supernatural ability. Some live in cities/towns/villages just for their species, some live in areas where Humans and Extraordinaries live their lives in peace and harmony, together, and some live in cities/towns/villages where only Humans are permitted to live unknown, and undetected. Some Extraordinaries like the Humans, others do not - much like how some Humans like or dislike the Extraordinaries. *Your character may be attending the Summer Camp or live in the City. If your character lives in the City, it is under the presumption that they hide their abilities or do not yet know of them. If your character lives in the City, they must in some way find out about the Summer Camp and join in, either by meeting someone in the City who is from the camp, overhearing a conversation, seeing something online, etc. But at some point, they must join the Summer Camp.*
Humans
As Humans are the main species of this planet, they can live wherever they choose - apart from the few areas where only the Extraordinaries are permitted to live. Some Humans accept the Extraordinaries, and some do not, other Humans may even wish to be an Extraordinary. There are some Humans who are trained in some way, or have developed themselves in someway to either be able to defend or attack the Extraordinaries, or be able to be similar to them, and attempt to be alongside the Extraordinaries. *Your character must be living in the City. They must in some way find out about the Summer Camp and join in, either by meeting someone in the City who is from the camp, overhearing a conversation, seeing something online, etc. But at some point, they must join the Summer Camp. OR, your character can find out about the Summer Camp and not be involved in it, your character can simply just interact and be friends with people from the Summer Camp - This is mostly if you don't want to/can't post more than once a week or something.* ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

POSTING
This is how I will be posting purely because I find it easier and it's what I'm used to. Feel free to use it too, but it's chill if you don't. I just personally think it's easier for everyone to see who's your character, who you're talking about and stuff. (Although it would be preferred if everyone could post in this format.)

*This is just a silly example, please do not actually submit fruit as characters for this RP*
@Sovay Very nicely done. That is a Casual to Advanced Layout for an RP - Since you are not wanting a high length in the posts (Minimal of 2 well developed paragraphs) I would place it in Casual with a Free tag in the header.
Rule of thumb for selecting free, casual, advanced: - 1 paragraph replies, free - more than 1 paragraph replies, casual - feel like reading a novel chapter? Advanced
