Rowan looked up at them with a piece of dried meat between his lips. A giant snake? He had heard something like what before, but he had thought they were just legends or stories to keep children from wandering into the woods. These men were not children; they were tall and muscular men who could break a chair with their bare hands. That didn't mean Rowan believed what these men were saying. He finished the last piece of meat and chugged down the broth that tasted like dirt before getting up.

"You fellows are sure you saw this.. giant snake? Or serpent?" Rowan walked to them, a little too calm for the panic that was coming from the people in the Inn. "You do know that drinking while chopping up lumber is not a good thing." Although Rowan didn't believe them, he was still willing to go out and search for this "giant snake." He was an excellent hunter and tracker, and anything that moved through the ground was easy to track down. "If you are certain you saw this thing I want you to take me to the camp." He always did enjoy discovering new things that nature had to offer. He wasn't planning on killing the massive snake; it wouldn't be fair. It was probably just guarding its territory. Maybe scare it away from the town.

Zaldana was just enjoying the music until hearing and seeing people rush in talking about a giant snake. Standing up and looking at one of the males who Zaldana noticed, staring at her. And then Tear and these two elf looking males, Zaldana spoke "I don't think it's no harm in checking things out...." she said "If any of you are warriors or skilled in hunting, maybe we can find it together? The more, the merrier!" she said smiling and rushing out the door to see if she could get into a bit of fun, holding on to her spear and shield.

The lumber jack speaking looked at Rowan. "We weren't drinking." His eyes were full of shock. He listened to Rowans' request to be taken back to the camp. "You expect us to go ba-". He was interrupted by another man who rushed into the Inn. "A monster just tried to snatch a little girl!" The lumber jack looked at the other man. "They said it looked like some kind of snake. It jist fled back into the forest! I can show you where it was spotted but I sure as hell am not going in the forest."

Sithilerin continued to slither about in the forest. He was returning to his 'lair'.

"I'll go in there." Rowan offered and got his bow ready. He still didn't think they should kill the snake; there has only been one casualty so far. If he had help, he could scare it away or maybe relocate to an area with no population. He turned to the two women and man in the Inn. "We need to find the snake, but we can't kill it just yet. There can be something we can do without hurting it." If they fought against it and didn't kill it, it would come back for blood. "It is almost sunset, so we must bring fire and be careful. I'll take to the trees; I'll cover you from the top." Rowan's eyes were keen under the moonlight, but not as good as they were when he was younger.

Charles stood downing his now red drink and puts bit of money on the county and nods "alright... I'll probably be needed if anyone is injured so guess I'll come along" he states, before popping his neck "been stuffed up to long in my home anyways.." he says raising a brow at the elf's suggestion of not hurting it... guess the elf didn't know that it tends to be survival of the fittest against beasts. He headed out after Zaldana since she had already taken off.

"I'll pay for the mead later! That...if we come back alive"
Tear told the innkeeper with a huge smile, of course she was planning on coming back.
She then looked at the those who were still inside the inn.

"My house is just outside the village. I'll go get my thiings as quickly as possible. Just wait outside the inn"
She said at the same she kicked the inn's door open and rushed to her house.

As she headed out, she turned when hearing a few people speak. She first looked at one of the elf boys "Good! I need a little assistance. It's been a while since I've had to deal with a monster of some sort." She smirked. She turned hearing the other elf speak up and the other make who looked to be wearing a robe.

The news of a monster being a snake creature and hiding in the forest, Zaldana was getting the chills to join this fight but when the other elf, Rowan spoke about not killing it and maybe not even hurting it. She responded "Hm? Yeah but what if the snake is way too strong to simply dance with? We may have no choice but to kill the thing...and if need be, I can fly above the forest to see if I can gain visual too...if that's not a problem...I have the means to do so if it tried to escape out of the forest." she retorts and heads out the inn standing in front, hearing out Tear.

Zaldana looked over hollering towards Tear "Tear! I can get you there faster if you want!?" she said calling upon her gryphon to be summoned forth "Ruby....I'm sorry to call on you again, honey but....I'm going to need your help once more." she said as the creature squawked

*Quarion follows Zaldana eager to begin this little adventure in capturing the creature* Wow!! * He widens his eyes at the gryphon* 'What a beautiful beast...and she has it under control. Is she a beastmaster ? ' * He looked surprised and looks at Zaldana with new understanding*

(I'm going to introduce the group the Sithilerin in this post to save time)

The lumber jack watched as the random group began to speak of hunting it. "I'll take you close to the camp but I'm not staying to find oit if it's still there." The lumber jack them the party onward toward the camp.

The forest was quiet. As the party would get closer to the camp, a thick fog would engulf the area making it hard to see. The lumberjack pointed outward. "It's right through the passing. This fog only appeared when the beast got close so it has to be here." The man then turned tail and ran.

There were tracks on the ground that would be somewhat difficult to see because of the fog but they still manage to stick out. The tracks definitely looked as if made by a snake. That ia if a snake were large enough to eat a lion.

As the group would continue into the passing the lumberjack pointed them in, they would be able to hear to sound of a body coiling. As if tightening around leather. Through the fog would be a horrendous sight. The serpent the man mentioned was wrapped around a bear and was halfway through swallowing it whole. Sithilerin would stop what he was doing. His left eye making contact with the group. His menacing eyes. It was like staring death in the face.

His muscles began to flex and make a horrid stretching sound as he regurgitated the bear out of his mouth. The bear fell unconscious. Sithilerin turned to face some of the group members.(I'm assuming some may be interested the tree or having an Ariel view.) Sithilerin stretched his body out revealing his truly massive size. His body stretches currently to twenty five meters. Sithilerin hissed to reveal four sets of fangs. He was anticipating a fight.

Charles would raise a brow at the creature. knowing how it may feel for some looking it in the eyes, he had already experience that long ago so he isn't even phased. "so your the one causing all the trouble" he states as he walks past the others "Care to tell me exactly why?" he states, the others may think his crazy for talking to the beast, when only the beast could see his face the beast would see his eyes change to their more vampiric state allowing the beast to both see and feel the Charles' own dangerous presence. "it's your choice if we do this peacefully... or otherwise"

Charley had only been living in the quaint village for only a week but she was itchy to get some action. almost immediately after getting settled in she would walk around the village. On that night however, from afar she saw a group of different beings heading towards the forest. curiosity struck her so she followed them. Keeping at a good distance she watched as one being approached a cave, apond sneaking closer she caught a glimpse at a magnificent creature... A snake larger then she'd ever seen,looking down at the being. Charley watched carefully, sad that the beings back was to her so she couldn't see what they were saying. Staying hidden in a large bush she waited, she'd show herself if it they need help, but from the look of the others, they probably didn't need her help.

Zaldana looked at the young elf before they headed off. She smirked at his amazement of her flying friend and with some pride, spoke up "Nope....well...you could ride it with me since it's big enough but Ruby is not too fond of others riding her instead of me. I don't want her attacking you. But I'm going to take to the air and check things out...

After setting off with the lumberjack and being shown the passage, Ruby took to the air, circling the forest which the thick fog covered. Zaldana had Ruby get to a lower altitude to get a better look and noticed something moving, something huge to which by the stretching the snake did and the realization what they were dealing with along with robed mage guy confronting the creature, Zaldana called out "Robe Mage guy! don't underestimate that thing...it's huge and more than likely a hell of a fighter!......Roby...get lower!" Zaldana prepared her spear and shield but Ruby did not want to get closer, feeling the chilling presence of the snake's stare.

"Ruby!?" Zaldana called as it squawked. "Look I know it's a bit scary but I'll protect you buddy....we have allies!" Zaldana was trying to think of a strategy of how they could cover and strike the creature but she simply observed for the time being to see what the robed mage and snake would do. "If push comes to shove, I'll call wooper." Ruby noticed another individual that showed up to the forest.

Sithilerins eyes watched everything that approached. He examined the one flying and the vampire. The vampiric state in the beings eyes would not have a desired effect. Instead, the giant serpent grew a disturbing grin. In a single dash, it slithered back with remarkable speed and clamped it's teeth into a tree. Easily ripping the tree from the ground. Sithilerin would hurl the torn tree at the flying creature and then slither it's body to begin to surround Charles. Sithilerin would let out a hiss which would shockingly sound more like a screech than anything.

"..trying to take out two of your most dangerous threats.. that's more than a wild beast" he states "Unfortunally for you.. one had to be me.." he says bringing up his hand and begins to speak in what would seem to be an inaudible language before speaking "Entangle!" and suddenly vines and roots from nearby trees would rip free from their selves and begin to wrap around Sithilerin, they might not be strong enough to fully bind him but enough to slow him down. Charles would begin speaking again in an inaudible language pointing his finger directly at Sithilerin "Lightning Bolt.." he says as suddenly lightning surges from his finger and fires out at Sithilerin.

Watching the snake like creature, its actions brought her attention to the flyers. Afraid that they might crash and burn Charley calculates where they might crush, which luckily happened to be in a bigg enough of a clearing, and faster then lightening prepares a soft-ish bed should the .... Bird? And it's passengers crash.

Staring on, Zaldana was still gliding and hovering over where the giant snake was posted. Watching the stare down of the robed mage and the snake, Zaldana was ready to join the fray but what happened next, surprised her. In a swift move, The snake grabbed a tree and pulled it from out the ground throwing it towards Zaldana and Ruby, which, barely moved, getting grazed and Zaldana getting thrown off. Squawking and flailing about in it's flapping, Ruby noticed that she dropped Zaldana, trying to rush down to get her.

Zaldana dropped her spear but still had her shield on her arm falling towards the ground, shifting her body into the position of falling on her shield but noticed the fall was cushioned by the pile of leaves on the ground. "Hm? what the-" she said looking around as Ruby landed next to her. Zaldana looked around and wanted to see what was happening with the Robed one and the snake. "Ruby...I don't know if this is luck but seems something is looking out for us."

Sithilerin coiled around Charles. Sithilerin was surprised however when he saw vines and roots sprout from the ground and trees in the command of the his opponent. This actually offended Sithilerin slightly. Sithilerin was distracted allowing the lightning bolt to strike him. Sithilerin impressive scales made sure the hit wasn't lethal but it did hurt. Sithilerin made eye contact with Charles showing anger in his eyes. Then, Sithilerin spoke. "Sylvan". The trees would begin twist and turn as a tree golem would begin to form. "I don't take kindly to trespassers. Those who mock my art I hate even more."

Charles raised a brow "so you can speak" he states "looks like my thoughts was correct..." he chuckles "I'm afraid this isn't simply your forest, it also belongs to the village nearby, they must venture out into the forest for supplies" he states "who mock your art? I'm guessing you never heard of druids" he states "There is mocking the art of nature... then there is perfecting it" he says shaking his head "if you wasn't being an enemy to us right now.. you might of made a decent or maybe the perfect partner for me to train with" he sighs "unfortunally you didn't decide the peaceful route" he looks up the sky almost like he had forgotten about the snake and seems to mumble something under his breath as suddenly another golem starts to be created but one made of the earth. He would look towards Sithilerin and start speaking a chant again ending it with "Merge" and suddenly his body would be covered in lightning, this spell of course has a time limit.

Smileing at her correct calculations Charley shyly went to go meet the critters she had saved. Smiling at them she holds out her hand after putting her swords up. "I'm Charley" she says grinning
