@vosenedich Sure! You'll make 5, so at the most we only have room for 1 more for whoever is interested.

@Asura 20 point buy.

I guess we have our 6 people.

As for side notes I forgot to mention, for races I'll allow the core and featured but not uncommon unless you can convince me that isn't OP as all hell. All classes that are official Pathfinder classes are fine, but 3rd party classes will require notifying me so I can look over them.

I also won't be allowing Antipaladin as a starting class. It would need to be the kind of thing you'd have to work for if you wanted it.

I have spoken. That is all. And we have our group together! This is totally going to happen.

Anyone have any qualms about me making the OOC topic, or can I go ahead with it?

probably a noob question but how battle focused will you guys make/want it be? or can we also fuck around, have fun and roll with the punches? (more or less, don't intend on constantly dieing)

also what is the availability that is expected from us? just so i know :) also will it be forum based on here or instant chat based?

are we going for a balanced team class wise (aka dibs on class) or everyone plays whatever they want?

Well from a DM perspective, there will be overarching plots... but only if you guys want to pursue them. I'm not gonna sit here and say what you can and can't do in this RP. There will be consequences for not doing certain things, sure, but you don't have to do them. Even if the world was ending and you all decided you wanted to just chill out on your final days or something, it'd be... anticlimactic, but acceptable.

TL;DR: From what I intend, it's as much player-driven as it is story-driven. The story will be there, and the story will also affect the environment according to the amount of action or inaction that occurs from the party.

For example, if there were a barbarian tribe a ways away from town and they were constantly advancing on it and invading, but the party did nothing to stop it and the townspeople were too scared to rise up against them... chances are, that raiding party will be on your doorstep eventually. Just as well the world is in a constant state of warfare and conflict, so things might not stay peaceful forever in the area you decide to inhabit.

...Crap, my TL;DR ended up being longer than the original part of it. Ah, whatever.

Also since one of the characters is gonna be a Paladin then chances are they're going to be doing SOMETHING against evil and injustice eventually. =P

The RP will be here on the forum, as well. One post a day at the minimum would be my preference. Letting me know if you can't post on a certain day is fine too though. We'll be doing a usual post order that will be determined by... what else? An initiative check before we begin the game.

People can be whatever, though I'm a fan of diversity overall. Yama said he was going to be an Alchemist or a Rogue, but don't quote me on that because those may have been just ideas? I dunno. We'll see.

And I have another person saying they're going to be a Sorcerer.

So far our party consists of one Paladin and one Sorcerer, then, with one potential Alchemist or Rogue.

For races: core and featured, with uncommon being up for debate depending on backstory and what abilities are taken.

For classes: Core, Base, Hybrid, Occult and Alternate (With the exception of Antipaladin, which will be possible to get later but not at the start). Additionally any third party classes are up for debate. If there's an interest of any classes of a set not mentioned above, I'd need to be linked to it so I could look it over and see what it can do.

If you're new though, 3rd party classes are probably best not venturing off into.

so far i'm liking the druid, and yeah, as far as support/healing goes, do we have that in paladin/alchemist(haven't looked at him but im assusming he has healing stuff right?), or no healing in the party so far?

Both classes can get some decent healing going, though I wouldn't say their healing would be on par with a Cleric on a regular basis. Healing is definitely a function for both, but I wouldn't say it was their main function.

Now that I'm back online (wednesday nights are my live game night, but I'm tangential again), time to catch up.

*cracks knuckles* I'm not actually sure what I want to play for this game. I know I said Alchemist or Rogue earlier (they're what I tend to lean towards), I'm bouncing around a million ideas. So I'd like a bit of feedback on some ideas:

Magus - Greensting Slayer/Beastblade archetypes (slightly sneaky with a familiar down the road). Likely half-elf

Fighter - mutation warrior/eldritch guardian (mutagen buff, power attack, and a familiar for flanking). Human

Alchemist - either grandier (for explosions!) or toxican/vivicectionist (poison/sneak attack route). Possibly Tiefling

Slayer - vanilla ver, using a polearm (maybe naginata?). Maybe elf? Not big on this one...

Rogue - unchained ver, dual short swords for maximum stab. Likely half-elf again or maybe Fletchling if allowed.

Thoughts?

I can provide a link for anyone who needs one.

enworld.org/forum/rpgdownloads.php?do=..

^ Download the file there as a pdf.

Also, the OOC has been posted detailing the continents, their ideals and traits, and the technology of the setting. You can find it Here

Well, I don't really want to try to push anyone to play a specific way, but the party doesn't seem to have a designated sneaky DPS person yet. But being able to reliably craft potions and bombs is always handy. And I also have a soft spot for Magus which is a class that I just consider so cool.

Fletchling is allowed, as well.
