Gentlemen.

It is with substantial deliberation and thought that I have decided to conclude my run with Precipice of War and roleplaying as a whole. I have already spoken with Aaron and Vilage on this matter; they were very supportive of this decision and I appreciate that deeply.

While I will always be here, and I will continue to be just a steam chat away if you ever wish to contact me, I have come to the conclusion that I simply do not enjoy roleplaying anymore. I will continue to write, but I am seeking other outlets.

Gentlemen.

That said, I'm going to say too that Vilage has volunteered to also double as Spain as well. And to be honest, Spain has been such a consistently long-running country with such a prominent position in the RP's lore that I wouldn't trust it to anyone but one of the oldest members. Though if Googer would so wish to come back and take over again he's freely invited to do so.

Maybe someday we can shit up DayZ again. Maybe someday I'll actually get Discord too, so neither of us will have to use le olde RAM hog that is Skype.

Yeh, I'll do Spain so the war keeps going. Might take a while before I start doing anything too direct with them since I want to go back and read up some stuff. I promise I won't abuse all this power what I suddenly got.

But like everyone else I will miss seeing Googer posts. When I joined PoW back in 2011 I hadn't really written much before, all my attempts at RPing before that having always gone to shit. He made the RP, and for a long time I learned how to write shit by copying him and Aaron's style, so even if he didn't know it at the time he was certainly on of my first proper writing teachers. I hope he sticks around like Hugs does and says stuff at us.

heads up that I am creating a spanish info sheet so I can go back and catalogue Spanish shit for easy access. same reason I've always kept a detailed one for Ethiopia, don't want to spend any energy hunting down details.

So we manage to get a prior service signal guy to set up Internet in the barracks (he bought like, a repeater or something off Amazon and stuck it in a homemade waterproof box on top of a metal bar on the roof to take some Internet from the command bay nearby) and bring a little bit of joy to my platoon. Here at combat outpost Bucknamistan, luxuries are scarce. To get cell service I need to climb a literal mountain and walk a mile each way for one bar.

On the plus side I only have like 25 more days out in the field.

I've also gotten addicted to smokeless tobacco and chewing sunflower seeds.

Anyways, I get all this back to see Googer's gone?

I'd like to thank everyone for the kind words and encouragement. Let me reiterate that I am not going anywhere: I intend to follow along, help out, contribute, and perhaps occasionally post. My inactivity was seriously detrimental to the roleplay. While it is gut-wrenching to stop after so long, I think it is the best choice for all parties involved.
