Ayeka pours cola into another glass with ice in it, she walks over to Anothy's table and sit the other glass on the table. She walks back to the bar and picks up another glass, she pours whiskey into the glass. She adds the contents of a pouch to the whiskey. She stirs it intill it look right to her and gives it to Hardwick.

Ben nodded to Anthony in a way that spoke 'cool dude' at his explanation, then grinned at Tic for his joke and mannerism. "Doing the right thing, I guess." he replied, and sipped his Dr. Pepper. His gaze flickered to the one who Tic had been looking at for a moment. "I like writing, because it let's my imagination soar. But I guess I don't need that here, seeing as I'm talking to a Pixie." he chuckled.

Hardwick placed a couple of dollars on the bar. 'Sorry, all I have is US dollars. I'm not sure if that's legal tender in... Well, wherever we are.' He told Ayeka apologetically.

He looked down at the drink before him. Ayeka's mixing technique was rather different to the tenders in the speakeasies he frequented, but whiskey was still whiskey. He raised his glass and drank deep.

'Woah...' He exclaimed. Much to his surprise, it was the best whiskey sour he'd ever tasted. Damn. That's good stuff. Maybe those whackjobs actually did nab me, and this is heaven.

'I gotta ask Ayeka... What's in this? It's like nothing I've ever had before.' He said, the amazement clear in his voice.

He glanced back at the fairy man again, and leaned in close to her. 'And, uh, what's his deal?' He added in a whisper, although his gesturing in the fairy man's direction, while not particularly impolite, was considerably less subtle.

"Maybe it is better stuff than what you are used too or is it my technique I use to mix the drink. We do get any type of indeigants to make good drinks." Ayeka says as she looks over at Tic, "he may not be used to what you are wearing or what you are. Tic could be drunk from the strong drink I just gave him." Ayeka did not mind the difference in money at all as she put the money in the till. At least nobody is trading their body parts for a drink or two.

"Now that's not something I get ta see every day" he mused finishing of his drink "Doin' the right thing ay?" a wistful smirk crawled onto the pixie's face.

"I gotta say, I meet some crazy blokes in my line o work" and points his wiry fingers at his two companions "but you lot are by far the craziest" Tic's face contorts visually when he realized what he had said "For very different reasons to the usual gangs I assure ya"

He'd wait for Ben and Anthony to finish their drinks before ordering another, probably good to slow down "So writings your game? What do ya write, I have you pegged as an adventure writer".

"Oh, alright. Sounds like a plan" Anthony said to the one who bought his drink. He laughed. "You think I'm crazy? Crazy amazing maybe; shall I show you?" He said with a wink as he once again pulled out his cards. They were old looking, but classic and elegant. "Oh, and thank you again, miss...?" he called to the waitress.

"Never thought I'd be the weird one in a different dimension too," Ben said with a grin. Tic was really starting to grow on him. "Not that it bothers me. Embrace it, I say." The young man leaned back and took the last sip of his drink, before setting it down. "You got me pegged right, bud. Fantasy and Sci fi are for me. Adventure's what goes on in my head, so it's what's put down on paper. Which makes me curious on what kind of stuff happens around here when people aren't talking normal."
Ben looked to Anthony, and smiled amiably. This guy was pretty amusing too. He'd watch him do his thing, but signaled for another refill as well to the Elf woman. He'd thank her warmly when she came over. She seemed quite nice.

Ayeka notices they wanted another round of their drinks. "Tic do you want the same drink or something different?" She ask as she fills up two glass, one with cola and the other Dr. Pepper. Ayeka waits for Tic's answer before making him a drink, to her it be better to take all the drinks at once. She hears Antothy, "it is no problem at all." She says wondering what he is going to do with the cards.

'These folks work hard.' Hardwick replied to the fairy man. 'It's only fair that I pay them their dues.'

He was vaguely aware of a gnawing sense of panic in the back of his mind. It screamed. It told him to run away from this place. That it wasn't natural. That if he stayed here any longer, he'd have another Chicago on his hands. He downed the rest of his drink, and the panic returned to a dull murmur.

Content that his demons wouldn't be coming back to torment him anytime soon, he got up and walked towards the fairy man and his companions. 'James Hardwick, Private Investigator. And you are...?'

"Alright them, go ahead Magic Man" leaning forward a small smirk creeped onto the Blue Sprite's face "Bedazzle me" emphasizing his words with waves and flourishes of his arms. Anthoney was probably just a street mage using quick and easy illusions to make a buck of the simple un-awakened folks. Then again, he was awakened and most magic slipped by him unless it was flashy/blatant or a mana barrier he'd flown head first into.

"Something a little lighter if you don't mind err...." shacking his head he realized he didn't know her name and his face quickly was reacquainted with his palm "Dreck, you didn't tell me your name did ya?" giving her a sheepish look handing over the credits for the drink and offering a seat. "The bar don't look too busy right now, ya might as well join us" Settling back into his seat for what he hoped would be a better magic trick then your usually street performer.

'James Hardwick, Private Investigator. And you are...?' looking in the direction the voice Tic was a little less then thrilled to see the larger man "Who wants to know?"

Anthony pulled the cards out of the box, starting to make them dance in his fingers. He grins and says, ""Magic Man", eh? Hopefully I can live up to such a prestigious title." He looked towards the waitress. "Yeah, what is your name, if you don't mind me asking?" He was about to stand up and perform until the "Private Investigator" showed up. "My name is Anthony, AKA "Magic Man", apparently." He replied, doubting there was anything to investigate about himself.

He smiled to the waitress and gave her a 5 dollar bill. He doubted U.S. currency mattered much here but...hey.
'James Hardwick, Private Investigator. And you are...?' "Waiting to be bedazzled apparently." Ben said, then held out his hand and shook the investigator's hand. "Ben Sherman. Nice to meet you."

Willow straitened her shoulders and walked into the tavern she once called home. She wondered to herself if her things had been left there since her payments never failed to appear on time despite her disappearance. She was wrapped in a long cloak that cast shadows on her face, hiding her features. Willow didn't know what had changed since she left and she didn't want to be caught unaware by anything.
She quickly took a seat at a table that allowed her to view the room in front of her and all the people in it.

Rowdy, a boy no older than eighteen, silently walked into the tavern. He kept his head low, but was clearly trying to draw what he could from everything around him. He wore black slacks, matched with an easily maneuverable long-sleeve black button up top. There was a blade tucked away neatly underneath the hoodie he wore, which matched his color scheme of black. He was pale, and had dirty blonde unkempt hair that fell to his forehead. He sat at a table, now openly allowing himself to look around the tavern.

Ayeka nods and makes a sour whiskey for Tic and Hardwick. She puts all the drinks on a tray and walks over to Tic's table. She puts the cola I front of Anthony, the Dr. Pepper in front of Ben and the last two drinks in front of Tic and Hardwick. "My name is Ayeka and I can stay for a moment or two." Ayeka says as she notices two newcomers sitting at two diffrent tables.

Willow took no notice of anything, yet she observed everything, her eyes only giving the waitress the quickest of glances before moving on to the other patrons of the tavern. She palmed an old and small dagger for comfort as she looked around the semi-familiar room. Her eyes finished their sweep of the room and fell towards the doorway that led to her rooms. Willow absentmindedly flicked the daggers edge, testing it, as she wondered whether to go check on her old haunts yet or should she wait until a chance to slip away unnoticed... Her mind whirled around her options as she quietly tapped the table.

'Who wants to know?' The fairy man quipped back at Hardwick. He seemed unsettled; the kind of unsettled that belied guilt.

'Relax, chief.' Hardwick chuckled. 'I'm not here on official business, and even if I was I think wherever you're from would be a bit outside my jurisdiction.' Although, given what I normally deal with...

The other two men introduced themselves as Anthony and Ben. Both were relatively young and their clothes were painfully bright - maybe it was a style from a different dimension? - but seemed otherwise harmless.

Then there was the fairy man, whose eyes continued to dart around the room frantically like a startled cat. It was hard to tell if he was packing heat or not. Hardwick knew his own marksmanship wasn't exactly up to scratch even before whiskey. If things went south, he might be able to get one round off before the fairy man drew his piece - if he was lucky.

Content that he'd analysed the situation enough, he firmly shook both their hands. 'Pleasure to make your acquaintance. Now, did you mention magic? I've always been partial to parlour tricks...'

The waitress, Ayeka, wandered over and poured the four another drink. Hardwick gave her a few more dollars and a winning smile... Or, at least, he thought it was a winning smile. Whatever was in that last drink had gone to his head faster than he expected.

Alex decended the stairs, slowly and cautiously. She wasn't exactly expecting trouble but no one could be certain in a place like this, especially with the possibility of Clay showing up. It wasn't just her that had unresolved conflict, Clay was the Tavern's instigator. If there was a fight to be had, usually Clay was there. If there was a yelling match, chances are that Clay had a hand in starting the whole ordeal. He was not a bad person, not at all, but he lives for trouble. And with Zyrid appearing and trying his had at taking the so-called "alpha" position, Clay was bound to stir things up.

She reached the bottom of the stairs and made her way to the bar. Spotting Zyrid, the cowboy that helped her earlier, the barmaid and a few other people that she was unacquainted with, she decided to just grab a bottle and find a table somewhere secluded. She came behind the bar, gave a slight nod to Ayeka and grabbed herself a bottle of Jack and a glass.

As she was leaving she caught Zyrids eye and gave him the same sly smile he'd seen before. It was partly a regretful smile, leaving traced of doubt about him and his place here. Alex knew he would not be leaving soon, and that was no trouble to her, but she did not want to watch Clay misjudge the situation or drive him out before she had the chance to get to know him.

She continued and found a small table in the back corner that overlooked most of the open tavern floor. Sitting down in the chair, she swung her legs up onto the table and pulled out a cigarette. Pouring a glass and lighting her cigarette, Alex finally felt a sense of calm after the events of the day. She tuned out the voices and thoughts of the people around her.Leaning back in her chair she was lost in thought.

Willow stood up quietly, hoping to not draw attention as she crossed the room to the doorway that lead to her room. She avoided looking at any other place than the door, ducking through and walking the short distance it took to arrive at her door. She wasn't sure and she hated to not be sure.
Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and walked into her room that seemed to be stuck in time. Dust coated everything, from the bowl by the door for her keys, to the stacks of books that lined the walls. She trailed a finger through the dust on the table and her mouth twisted in disgust at it. Willow took off her heavy cloak, draping it over a chair at her desk and shook her hair out, it bounced out of her braid slightly curled.
~~
After she finished cleaning her rooms of dust and threw out the trash, she returned to the tavern room, her cloak left behind, instead she was dressed in a simple black shirt, 3/4 sleeves and a v-neck, and dove gray pants that melded into her tall brown boots, cleaned of any dirt or mud. She took a seat at a table closer to the center of the room.
